I'm getting more and more excited about this festival. I'm just not sure whether I want to do camping or try and decide on transportation to and from Atlanta everyday.
Also, I know there has been discussion about FanCorps for Bonnaroo, Forecastle, and MoogFest put on by ACE. CounterPoint is using something similar through FanEngage where you collect points by posting, tweeting, and watching promo videos. If anyone is interested here is the link bit.ly/M3P0cs Not spamming or anything just spreading the word in case anyone needs a little help making it. The same company also has some interactive things with other fests and events.

So can we get a list of who all is going? I didn't read back through the thread to put maybes on there so if you are going post and I'll update list. I only added ppl I've talked to who are going for sure.

OK I'm going to go and camp. I'm new to EDM, didn't realize I liked it until FlyLo's set a Roo. Could someone more experienced point me in the right direction towards what is awesome about this line up?

I've been on the fence about this for a while. Here's my dilemma... I've already got a ticket to see Animal Collective in Atlanta on Sunday night. I'm cool with missing whomever is playing that night to go, but I also need to save money. I'm travelling to Europe in December/January so I need to save for that (although I already have the plane tickets bought). However, I also really want to see the Alabama Shakes and Fly Golden Eagle show in Atlanta on Saturday night. Does anyone know when the schedule comes out? I want to go and camp, but I don't know if it's worth it if I'll be missing a lot of the bands I really wanna see. Also, does anyone know how late it goes? And if the headliners are unopposed? Thanks for the info, if anyone has it!
So I'm definitely going now, add me to the list! Excited about all the big ones, PL, Bassnectar, and Skrillex again! Beats Antique!!! Crystal Castles I actually passed up on when they were at Bonnaroo in 09. Looking forward to making up for that one.
Zeds Dead. This is a new must not miss on my list. I wasnt a big fan of theirs a year ago when they first hit the scene but they've been killing it live lately. Saw them for the 2nd time at Lollapalooza and they had more energy then any other show I saw at Perry's Stage.

The camping is one of the great perks of this festival to me! I can understand not wanting to be bothered by the late night music when you are trying to sleep, especially at an electroncia fest! Looks like the late-late nights will be done with Silent Disco though (which is also amazing got to meet Reggie Watts at Silent Disco this year at Roo!) Zed's Dead I've heard good things about, and you always got to pay attention to someone who uses a Pulp Fiction reference =) Anywho for those of you that want to go but can't afford it here is a contest to win VIP tickets. Or if you just want the chance at a VIP experience. www.vibetothis.com/2012/08/win-pair-of-tickets-to-counterpoint.html Good luck!

I wasn't gonna go to this until I saw the WET volunteering. Now I'm seriously considering it. My main issue is gonna be making sure it can work with what my school/work schedule ends up being, and I'm hoping that the fact I'm going to Deluna already for sure doesn't ruin my chances. Two fests in two weekends sounds like the bomb.
I doubt CounterPoint will be Gnarnia'd. It is put on by different people and I have a good feeling it will be a great time! Volunteer and save your money on a ticket peoples. www.workexchangeteam.com/counterpoint See you all in the fall
