Anyone catch Kanye, Run DMC? Any feedback on the real sets?
It was really easy to catch everything, the two stages weren't that far apart at all.
I liked the second day a lot better, but on the first day Janelle Monae, D'Angelo, Miike Snow and Jay-Z/Kanye/G.O.O.D. Music were all good shows.
Day 2 I went from The Hives > Gary Clark Jr. > Run DMC > EDM tent (me and my friends dubbed it the "18 and under tent") > Pearl Jam
Gary brought the wood as usual, Kanye/Jay-Z was good except I had to keep explaining who all the rappers coming on stage were to the people around me, really enjoyed Janelle Monae's set (she has a ridic guitarist who played a great version of Little Wing), D'Angelo just had too much to live up to after the Superjam I guess, but he was still good.
Brought Jay-Z on for 99 Problems (pretty sure that was the planned Chris Cornell cameo that fell through when he went to play for Obama) and finished with Keep On Rockin'.
The festival itself was fun, the logistics were a disaster. I guess no one factored in the whole "50,000 people exiting onto the same intersection with no mass transit and about 6 cabs in the entire city" thing while planning.
My biggest complaint of the weekend is that I would've preferred a full 1 1/2hrs of Jay Z over the 1hr of Jay Z and 1/2hr of G.O.O.D. Music but I understand why others were excited. Janelle Monae, GCJ x2, Passion Pit, D'Angelo, Run DMC and Pearl Jam were my highlights. Oh and Drake is awful. I knew that going into the night and now everyone else does.

Awesome fest. I was up close and personal with Pearl Jam- Jay-Z- Run DMC- Kanye West- Jill Scott- Miike Snow - Drake. I caught The Knocks(after I missed seeing them at Roo) also watch a bit of The Hives then got bored. I was so close for Run DMC I got a video of Beyonce and Jay walking down the middle. Overall this fest was amazing. The people I encountered were super chill and awesome even met some cool Rooers. I'm happy I wore my Roo wristband, my crazy colorful peacehand sunglasses and tie dyed shirt felt super relaxed and carefree and it opened the floor to meet other cool crazy people too.
Yup..... Skrillex may have been my favorite show of the weekend. Also had a blast at D'Angelo, way up there on my all-time my enjoyment of show::lack of material knowledge scale. I didn't think Drake was that terrible, I went in with the same mindset but I liked his stage presence(minus the fact that he was clearly lip syncing at least in the beginning). The Hives incredible as usual. Pearl Jam was fantastic as expected. I enjoyed every show I saw, Passion Pit was really only meh for me, but if that's my biggest complaint I'll take it.
