Jay-Z will curate and headline Made in America, a new two-day music festival that will bring nearly 30 musical acts to Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park from September 1st-2nd, according to the New York Times. The lineup will be formally announced tomorrow, and will feature “rock, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and dance” acts.
Tickets will go on sale May 23rd with a portion of the proceeds benefiting United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
I read an article that he wants to invite Obama to perform at the festival.

What a great idea! Having the POTUS do some gimmicky performance at a corporate cashgrab festival! I wouldn't be surprised if Obama did it to be honest.
This is worse than when he fills out those brackets on ESPN - he's too busy picking Kentucky to win it all to fix the economy!
My all-time favorite complaint. These are usually the same people left stammering when you mention that Bush vacationed more than any President in history.
aaaand this is why Obama shouldn't be at the festival. Not because it's below the dignity of the presidency or whatever, but because it will turn what should be a great time into a teeth grinding political debate.
