I've miraculously been very lucky to avoid this stuff. The last two years I camped in tent only with camp inforoo so I think that helps. But even when I had my own parking spot I never really had a problem.
The unzipping your tent thing could be shady, like somebody trying to steal. Or it could be some spun out person thinking they found their tent but being startled by someone in it and realizing it's not theirs lol. Either way that's annoying.
I know (or hope) you're just making a joke based on that other thread that got locked but please don't joke around about that kind of stuff dude. That's how rumors spread. People may see that and not realize what you're saying.

oh like anyone would believe that.
but yes, i was referring to the other thread.
I've been surprised in the past what people believe on the internet. All it takes is one idiot to scan this thread and go to facebook and start spreading that as if it were fact.

My boyfriend and I were camped in King Jaffee... around pod 10. We were chilling out Friday around noon when a couple of girls ran through our campsite chasing a guy. He jumped into an unlocked rental car 2 cars away from ours and the girl followed him inside. She threw a few punches at him before he got out the other side. All of our neighbors popped their heads up to see what the heck was going on. One of the girls chasing him was yelling about stolen car keys and a cell phone. At first no one really knew what to do because we thought they knew the guy. As he was getting away, a couple of guys from the group whose rental car it was tackled the guy and got the keys and phone back. They yelled at him for a while but let him walk away... He didn't get further than 5 cars down and there he was again... getting chased by another group whose phone and keys he had taken from, I'm guessing, their tent or a nearby table. 5 guys ended up taking off after him. They tackled and held him until security and medical came to take him away, strapped down on a board. It was pretty sketchy. A few people mentioned that he was completely out of it and had said something about bathsalts. I'm not sure if that's completely true though. We made sure to keep our tent and car locked at all times.

Shady "gypsy" girl came to our party on Sunday with her "brothers". She swore she was a virgin and a gypsy and starting reading people's hands telling them things like "Your life line is short, eat more fruits and veggies." She was disclosing very personal information (like the virgin thing but more person than that). The first thing she said when she came into camp was "Does anyone have any corn?" She then went up to a dude and offered to show her boobs for some. Wayyy shady. Sarah kicked her and her shady face tatted "bros" out.

i got ya.
but in that case.
i have 6pack abs and a huge weenie.
Thanks dude....and hopefully your "facts" right there start spreading around the net
Getting back to camp on Sunday I walked up and saw a guy grab one of my coolers. The empty one. He started to walk off and I shouted at him "hey man don't take my cooler". He tried telling me His was stolen and it looked exactly like this one. I stepped right up on him and made it crystal quacking clear that he wasn't taking my cooler. He grumbled a bit and wandered off. My girl said she might have seen him going through other camp sites but she isn't sure
I had my towel sitting on the EZ UP drying after a shower. Forgot about it and the next day it was gone. It may have been stolen but it probably just blew away. Closest I have ever come to any of this.
After the brunch I went back to the tent to re-apply sun screen and then went to see some music and bit up the water slide. I realized my wallet was back at camp. I went there an hour later and it was still sitting on the table. In plain view of the street across from centeroo.
I call myself lucky and made a promise never to do that again.

One of our campmates had a Camelbak stolen, and then the next night our campsite got kinda ransacked and poor Mayo had her tent slashed. Luckily they didn't take anything other than that same guy's car keys, but they ditched 'em on the ground not far away (presumably once they discovered his car was not there). Neighbors told us that a bunch of tents in our area were slashed and ransacked like that.
Camp R2D2; camp broken in to two seperate occasions. Stolen cell phone and an old DSLR.
First time it was apparently a group of 3 girls, some camp site neighbor said he saw them running through camp sites but was "too fucked up to do anything"
Second time my wife caught a 17-ish year old boy and girl waste deep in two different tents. She startled them, he reached behind his back almost looking as if he was going to pull a knife or something on her. She yelled for help, passer-bys ignored it. Later on we asked others in the area. Again "too fucked up to do anything".
two people in our group got their cell phones taking off the cell chager station. We had another with a camera missing, another had his camel bak stolen but we later found the camelbak and the empty wallet strewn on the ground at least they left the id. In a group of 77 I am shocked no one saw anything. They were good I guess
I had my socks go missing, but I think that was a prank. I had heard some neighboring tents had been broken into. Luckily there was pretty much someone at Camp Inforoo most of the time
I didn't have anything stolen, however, Saturday nite I had someone put flowers in an empty soda can on our camp table and put flowers on my neighbors air mattress inside her tent. Sunday we came back to camp with all our lites turned on...nothing missing all weekend. We were in VIP D.

Sunday morning our neighbors caught someone rifling through our site while we were all knocked out. They alerted security but am unsure of what happened after that.

We were robbed twice in camp darth vader. They were mostly looking for drugs but the second time stole my friend's purse while she was sleeping in her tent. It happened to be just inside the zipper.

Last year we were in Camp R2D2 and had some stuff stolen while we were away and then on Sunday night had some shady looking individuals walk through our camp with flashlights while we were sleeping. Fortunately, one of our camp mates was awake and chased them away.
This year, we were in Pod 1 in the camp they decided not to give a name to and we didn't have a single thing taken or even moved. We didn't leave anything big out but there was plenty of little things that could have been taken.
We were packed pretty close in Jeff Spicoli, and formed a communal group of four tents made of separate arrivals. We all partied and talked together, and formed a pretty tight group. One night, a couple girls in the group were sleeping in the back of their SUV, when they saw someone rifling through one of the canopies, they asked what's up and the guy took off. Another guy in the group had a camelback taken on a separate night. Talked to a couple while waiting in line at our local portapotties who said they had an expensive camera taken.

I overheard someone talking to one of my neighbors, saying he had to leave early since his backpack with all of his money, ID's, and wallet was stolen the night before.

We were in Camp R2D2 and we had a tent rifled through one night. My buddy had his backpack stolen. Thankfully a neighbour found it outside their camp and found the owner. Nothing was stolen thankfully. It kills the vibe a bit though.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

Here's one for yah...myself and other inforooer (blacklily), participated in rideshare with two other festie hoppers. A good man drove us down and he is also a member. I will have him follow-up to this post so you can know who. Anyways, I already had my ticket but Shonda Lorraine Rose Young, whoops, I mean black didnt have hers yet. She had been in contact with all of us for over a month prior to festival. Hours of conversation of getting prepared and coordinating plans. She came in from philly, I came from northern new york. Upon arrival she hung out at camp for first day and slept there that night also. Next day after she went into centeroo, she never came back to camp. Many attempts were made to collect money owed after this. Long story short she left her suitcase, purse, sleeping bag, and beer (which i enjoyed thoroughly due to her bullshit), among other things purchased at walmart. Never to return or pay. Scumbag move. Now everyone on inforoo will know that BLACKLILY, who actually ditched us to go to camp inforoo, (big black girl in tutu and scar down her chest), will only scam you out of money or steal from you. I shall be notifying firefly also that this person is a liability and more than likely will rip someone off there too because she is volunteering.

Camped in Han Solo. Had great neighbors all around. Friday night someone stole my corn holder and a Kavu bag with memory cards and other cherished possessions. Three random bros with rotting teeth had just passed through the camp, said they were locals, I was far on the other side, there were grills and other items of value lying about. Hope they get what they deserve whoever took the items. Sunday night I was concerned about my safety with all the crooked looking people wandering around. First person to come by tent was a young 18 m who's brain was fried asking if we wanted some fire white stuff. EXTREMELY SKETCHY! While 99% of people had the best vibes in the world, those left over were the scum of the earth. I guess that is the unfortunate truth of humanity.
Is there an official tally of the crimes at Bonnarro?
