Nah. Depends on how much of the previous lineups you knew. Big Ears always pushed The National and Vampire Weekend as the selling point. They'd sneak in stuff like Terry Reiley and Ben Frost. I'm still kicking myself for never making either edition of these.
I also found out that I am in fact going solo. Start locking things up, Knoxville. You have plenty of notice.
My wife just discovered she gets a discount for most of the bigger chain hotels. While I'm not too picky, I really enjoy walking to venues if I'm attending solo.

I also heard through the grapevine in Asheville that the biggest venue for this year will be the Tennessee Theatre. That should give a little big of an idea for the expectation for the drawing power of the headliners. It has a 1631 person capacity.

Oh wow. Bijou is like 700/800? I was thinking it was the other way around.
I'll start my wishlist: Grizzly Bear Steve Reich Anthony Braxton Body/Head Swans Dead C

The Bijou is 700. Aside from those, the other venues were Old City clubs.
I went ahead and booked a hotel room downtown on Booking.com since I wouldnt have to pay anything up front. $400 for 3 nights. And that was the CHEAPEST. Ugh!

That was one of my biggest issues and why I never attended. Throwing $400 down for a place I never saw. I'm kinda peeping the north Knoxville area. It's just not going to happen downtown, I don't think.
@ntellier85, if I remember right, CID did some travel packages that took some of the bite out. This was also 4 years ago, so who knows if that will be an option again.

If you feel like the commute, you both know you can stay with us. Otherwise, I can advise on any particular hotel you are looking at.
