Called that one wrong. Kronos Quartet teased (via FB).
I think they were more giving a shout out to Bryce Dessner since he was the curator of Big Ears 2010. The Kronos Quartet mention was just incidental because, seriously, how many people really see that post and go "Oh sh*t! Kronos Quartet!" rather than "Oh sh*t! Bryce Dessner!"
Interested to see the lineup. Knoxville is a five-hour drive for me. The previous lineups were mind-blowingly well-curated, but I was in college/didn't have the money. Going to wait 'til both the Big Ears and Moogfest lineups are out, but I imagine I'll at least try to do one or the other.

I was looking at the '09 photo album on the facebook. I noticed Negativland was there. Isn't that one of yours, monkybunney? If so, you may want to keep an eye out on this line-up.

Just the name Negativeland made this board collectively shiz itself.

I know 2 names on that lineup and only listened to 1 of them.
That would be an absolute lock for me. Negativland and Wobbly have been playing shows together around these parts (the south'ish) lately. I'll add NegativWobblyLand to my wish list of weird. Also The Residents have an official documentary coming out about them called The Theory of Obscurity (no release date yet) and the Cryptic Corporation has been teasing something awesome coming in 2014 leading fans like me to speculate a new tour that will feature the Movie followed by a Residents performance. A boy can dream!

Michael Gira is in Swans, so you probably know him without knowing it.
Stolen from a convo between Festival Snob and The Big Dawg.

That jonny greenwood post is just because of steven reich. Thatjonnygreenwoodpostisjustbecauseofstevenreich. Thatjonnygrnwdpst... <hyperventilating into paper bag>
Y'all are crazy and weird in a really cool way. I don't know who any of these folks are, but I only knew a few from previous lineups as well. Dave Maynar, since you're a local and well-written, would you be interested in helping out with the festival guide we do?
EDIT: And with my 500th post, I ask for help. What about that?

I don't know the line-ups all that well either, but I would always be willing to help where I could.
