Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Also, I must add that I was extremely sad to have missed Feist at Bonnaroo last year (Trampled by Turtles won out in the interest of my bluegrass-minded group), so this is actually one of the better headliners I could have picked to play Friday night.
I still assume the Lumineers are headlining on Sunday even though their profile does not explicitly say they are like Feist's does (they're the third most "added" band on the Lollapalooza lineup behind Mumfords and The Killers and 4th most on the Bonnaroo lineup behind the 3 headliners).
That leaves us with one headliner left to be announced for Saturday night. I would assume the act is going to be a throwback act as there are currently no Guthrie/Emmylou/Prine/Browne type bands on the lineup. But maybe NFF knows there's success in going with the "new folk."
Any guesses?

That Feist set at Bonnaroo was really fun too. Lots of crow interaction and funny banter between well played songs. Plenty of sing-a-longs and she turned the crowd into a choir at one point, giving each section a different part. I really like when she gets into one of her guitar solos.

This is great to hear. Not that I missed a good set, but that I'll have a chance to see (hopefully) another great set from her.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
If I can see The Milk Carton Kids, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Feist on Friday (with no overlaps), then it'll likely be my favorite day of the festival.

Feist. Folk. Friday. For those of you who haven't been following us on social media, we're happy to announce that Feist will be joining our lineup on Friday along with Old Crow Medicine Show, John McCauley of Deer Tick, Mountain Goats, and more! With today's addition of The Milk Carton Kids our Friday lineup is now complete! Tickets for Friday are still available at www.newportfolkfest.net/tickets. We hope you'll join us for a great day of music.
And One More Thing Many of you are wondering if there will be any post festival events happening again this year. We are in the final planning stages so be sure to stay tuned to our social media in the coming weeks for some Late Night Announcements!
I'm starting to think Dawes will be playing a late night show (and maybe not a show at the festival).
Someone on Dawes' Facebook page claimed to have talked to Taylor at SXSW and when asked about Newport, Taylor responded: "We'll be there in some capacity"
The fact that NFF seems to be working with the bars to put on late nights make me even more suspicious; they may not want to book Dawes again for the actual festival because they've played twice in the last 3 years, but they know there's a huge demand.
Plus, I'm sure they're waiting until after Dawes and Bob Dylan play Newport on April 9 to make any sort of announcement.

actually they played the last three years. they weren't on the line up in 2011 but they ended up playing with middle brother, m ward and played a short set of their own songs.
I've been checking this band out and they are on my must see list. I figure an early Saturday set on the Harbor stage and am praying for no conflicts and light traffic.

^ They are really good live. Alynda Lee Segarra has a beautiful voice and the accompanying fiddle player was really good. When I saw them they only performed as a duo. I don't know if that is the way they normally play, but it was powerful nonetheless.
That's why I think the harbor stage is perfect. TTMOE played there last year and Civil Wars played there the year before that. It's suited for smaller sets but the sound is great!

I think you are spot on. April 10th or so there will be some sort of Dawes announcement

But what really throws me off is that there is no mention of The Lumineers as the Sunday headliners. I'm wondering if they may have some throwback act (someone like Donovan) be the technical headliner on Sunday and have Lumineers play right before.
Since the announcement, I've been watching live Feist vids nonstop. I never realized how great of a live performer she is (especially thanks to her ability to wail on the guitar). This one may be my new favorite; you know anything that gets Thom Yorke dancing has to be good.
According to the lineup page, this takes place on Saturday. Not sure if it's a new stage, if it'll take over one of the stages, if they'll play in a round or if each act will get a set, or if it's a late night show.
