I got 4 for saturday. One may end up being an extra if my cousin doesn't fly out from nebraska and i will let you guys know if it's up for grabs when i know for sure.
So did anyone else get print out tickets? Why are they not transferable?
I thought tickets would be will call only; in that case I can understand how it would not nontransferable.
This was in the email they sent me for my print-out ticket at the bottom:

Interesting. Glad to know if SOMETHING happens to change in my plans, someone can make use of my tickets (without the venue getting to double dip on something I paid for), and me maybe making some of the pretty steep costs back.
Edit: Nevermind. In tiny print at the bottom: "This ticket is non-transferable. Any transfer, attempted transfer, resale, counterfeit, or unauthorized copy is grounds for seizure from and/or cancellation without refund." Whether that's just a scare tactic to prevent scalpers or they actually enforce it.
I guess if something comes up, I'll try to pass it on to one of you guys (I can even send you a picture of an ID of mine or something).

****FYI**** with the Deer Ticks shows being sold out, please know that we are NOT issuing tickets for these shows! We have a Will Call list with your name and how many tickets you purchased. You will have to check in at the door with your entire party with a photo ID and we will put a wrist band on you. If you purchased tickets for friends they need to be present with you when you get to the door to check in. Wrist bands will not be handed out. We had problems last year with people coming to the door with fake tickets they had bought from scalpers. If someone tells you they have tickets to these shows please don't buy them because no one does!

Sucks a little that I won't have tickets to keep for these shows but at least I'm going. I applaud the no scalper effort, it's just that some of us like to keep our tickets.
I had a charity walk and have been out of the house since 7 AM... oh well... I didn't do a Deer Tick show last year and still had an amazing time. More time to cuddle with Levon and Garth!

So, I need to sell my ticket (Friday and Saturday) to the Newport Folk Festival, along with my parking passes for both days. Would I be better off doing it on EBay or Craigslist? I'm a bit nervous about Craigslist, but since I'm probably only going to sell it for what I paid for it, I don't really want to pay too many fees on EBay to sell it. Would the fees on EBay be really high? Thanks for your help. I was hoping to sell it before bonnaroo, so I can have the money for food and such. I've just never sold a music festival ticket before.

Thanks guys......I've got myself covered for the weekend but was still trying to grab two 2-day Passes for my parents. Big fans of Felice, Avetts, Jim James, and I thought they'd enjoy it.
So I'll pass on the Friday and Saturday passes (though I truly appreciate the offer). I need to update the line in my signature about what I'm looking for still.
But yea....if you can't find anybody on here that wants them I'll check back in closer to the festival

Thanks. :-) If you know of anyone who still needs a 2 day pass (that's what I have...I worded it wrong), please send them my way. I can email a copy of the receipt if needed. Also includes parking passes. I'm not too concerned about reimbursement for the parking passes, mainly just the 2 day pass, so if you don't need the parking passes, it's no biggie.

I've seen them in concert twice, so I'll definitely miss them this year. If I don't sell it on here, is StubHub an okay place to sell tickets?

Beth Orton also does the female voice on "Get Real Paid". Midnite Vultures is my favorite Beck album, but with this being an acoustic show I doubt we'll get anything from it.
Just got back from 'isolation' in VT. 'Our' Daughter Kaitlyn graduated from UVM with a double major this weekend. WOOHOO! Came through the door, ran to the TV, and called my sister to find out if 'their' son in Oklahoma City was okay. Relief there! Another YAY!.. wait I should be in the yay thread but this is the family thread for us. haha.
Can NOT believe a) they jacked up to $44 a piece for NBC tickets. They were right around 20 last year. I was able to get 8 and there is so way i would have done that for more than 20 each. and B) they sold in three minutes. That is crazy ridiculously fast!
For those that have not been to NFF, you will get tons of collaborations at NFF and get quite close to the artists if you are polite. And if lucky teehee giggle giggle... artists like Dawes will be hanging out in the beer prison playing ping pong and you can approach, get pics. That was so a thrill for my old lady self. The after party at QC is usually pDGood too.
You're right i thought he was playing saturday not sunday
also glad your family is ok fawn. there were 3 tornadoes that ripped through my hometown almost 2 years ago and there is still a lot of work to do.
If you're talking bout Springfield, it was nuts. I've never felt like my life was actually in danger until that day. I felt a lot of comfort in having a basement that day, for sure.

I'm aboslutely talking about springfield. One of my friends house was leveled and a few others had some significant damage luckily i was living in longmeadow then but the neighborhood i grew up in will never look the same again it's terrible.
I go to Sturbridge once or twice a week, and you can still see where the tornado blasted through. Going down Route 20 from Sturbridge into Brimfield, that's even worse down there. Looks so weird to see things like that happen up here. And iirc, there was only one tornado which hit Springfield that day. I think the other ones were in/near Brimfield.

Is newport hinting at a monsters of folk set? Their new spotify playlist has conor oberst all over it and they tweeted that the mix is a hint of things to come. She & him end there tour a week or so before the festival so maybe it's possible.
