I have 2 extra tickets to the pre-Fest kick-off with The Low Anthem, Joe Fletcher, etc. at Newport Blues on Thursday night. My fiancee has to work, and we're getting married in a month so I decided it'd be better to have the cash. If anyone was planning to go, and doesn't have tickets, let me know and I can meet ya ... I live a few blocks away. Otherwise I'll be milling around trying to unload them.

PS: All this talk about the Deer Tick aftershows has me psyched ... have tickets for Sunday night, never been to one.

I was really thinking i wasn't going to know who was going to make an appearance until the day of the show. Very happy i have saturday tickets and definitely wish i had sunday tickets to. My cousin is flying in from nebraska to go with me and he's never seen deer tick so he gets one hell of an introduction. I'm bummed i'm coming home from martha's vineyard right now but newport is only a couple days away!
So right now the weather is looking pretty good for Friday and Saturday. Sunny and in the mid-upper 70s down in Newport, and a few degrees warmer at QC. It may be a bit muggy, but nothing too crazy. Sunday you have a cold front coming through - which could bring some showers and storms, hopefully nothing compared to last year though. Just be prepared for rain on Sunday.

For Newport, I'd probably drop 3-5 degrees.

I'll try to remember to bring my stash. I have a Coleman one for myself and I bought a stash of dollar store ones to bring to my local festival this past weekend so that I could give them out to people who weren't prepared... buuuuuut I forgot them all. Silly Bonnie. At least now I have extras!

Yes keep your cooler clean and tidy or be very smart. If you are not obvious, and are clever, you can easily achieve your objective. Nothing in the cooler and nothing in the bottom of a shoulder bag/back pack.
If anyone is going to the Deer Tick after show on Friday get there early and don't miss Andrew Combs. Local Philly band Toy Soldiers are gonna be his backing band. Then on Saturday they'll be taking part in Joe Fletcher's Nashville to Newport Show then playing an afterparty at One Eighty that night with Castle. These guys are on the rise and deservingly so.
I have 4 tickets to the Dawes Saturday aftershow for sale. I can get in your name so we don't have to mess with the will call issue. Also willing to split into pairs if necessary. Face value. Special guests are going to be good.

I can attempt to do that, but my internet has been really terrible lately, so we'll have to see how it goes.
Cool stuff. I always love having high quality video copies of the festival shows i've seen. I'm surprised that more people don't record these and share them each year. No worries if it doesn't work out.
They normally archive all the shows. I haven't checked in a bit but the last 2-3 years were still up last fall
Yea, they have audio of previous shows but I was wondering about video. But now that I look at the page more I am thinking there won't be video streaming. I couldn't really remember. I know I have some video from last year but not sure if that was through NPR or not.
I do love being able to get audio of the sets though
