With the previous announcements and now this I'm really starting to dig this lineup - a lot. I wish there was some way I could work it into my festie schedule.

I love this lineup. 3+ hr panic slot. Tons of good jam bands new & old. Soja/rebeltion/snoop are always welcome festi shows. Solid late night potential. The waka/ hangout run will be rough on the pockets but this looks like one party i can't miss. Here's to my first time in the ozarks. Hope to see some of you there !
I had some issues with the scene in the campgrounds this year, too. If I end up going solo again, I'm going to try for VIP. A big crew is always a good buffer, though.
I understand this... I'm usually at waka as a Vendor and last year I was in Shakedown and it by far was the skeeviest place. Normally I work shows solo, but am so very thankful I had people with me last year. A friend & I walked the grounds Friday night to see what was going on... we made a quick loop and went right back to camp, it was so shady. I've been solo at Roo before but being there last year had me question if I would ever be solo at Waka... maybe it was just where we were at or maybe it was the vibe that year. Usually it's a great experience. But considering last year was such a weird experience, I am hoping for a spot in the Midway this year... either way I will give it one more year. If I end up on Shakedown again and have the same experience, I won't go back. However... if you don't end up in VIP and I get picked to be a vendor again, you are more than welcome to crash with me if need be!

Looking like a Waka year for me and no Roo, still waiting to see Roo's line up. First Waka is half the drive time and I love this line up. Second Roo moving out a week makes we worry about the heat. Thinking about VIP, can't beat primo camping, free food and drinks and great spots for all the show.
However... if you don't end up in VIP and I get picked to be a vendor again, you are more than welcome to crash with me if need be!
Thanks for the offer. I think today's announcement and a few Wanee leaks finally sealed the deal on Wanee instead of Waka. I will be back again when the lineups right, but I'm just not feeling this one. Hope to get back to the mountain for Harvest Fest!

You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
Main camping was definitely shady last year but I think it had a lot to do with the lineup. I don't think there will be near as many strung-out edm kids this year since the electronic acts are more eclectic. I did VIP last year and plan on doing VIP again this year. I know it seems pricey but it is worth every penny. You also don't have to deal with shady people. We would leave camp for most of the day without putting things away and our stuff was never touched.
Lurving this lineup!!! I'm really excited to get back to Waka this year. I've seen a lot of these bands, but this year is like all my favorite Roo undercard bands playing at one fest in the same year! I've heard several people talk about shadiness at Waka, but my crew of two didn't experience anything like that. We were camped in main venue and had great neighbors. Roo was my first festival so I love it with all my heart, but Waka is much more intimate to me. Maybe because it's so much smaller. I had a blast last year so going again this year is a no-brainer for me, especially because the lineup is so stacked. I'm waiting for Roo's lineup to drop so I can be completely worthless until June!!! I'm starting to get festieitis already and it's still January

Last two years at roo I heard of people who got stuff ripped off from their campsite. I always use smart rules, don't bring anything of value you could live with out. Keep valuable inside the tent, including coolers when you are there. Lock stuff up when you leave, coolers, back packs, lugguage of any kind. Don't bring expensive things in with you, lock that cell in the car, who wants to be on the phone when you should be jammin out? Make friends with your neighbors and watch their things so they will watch yours, if your neighbors are shady double lock stuff.
So besides the obvious STS9 and Umphey's and all other bands that naturally I'm pumped for, Snoop Lion would be interesting. I saw him once back in his Dogg days . Other than all that anyone else as pumped for Daft Phunk as I am???

Don't miss ZZ Ward, I just saw her in a club a month ago. She is phenominal, she sings like Adelle, plays guitar, piano, harmonica plays the blues with a modern feel. She will likely play a lot of fests, check out her youtube videos last love song and Charlie aint' home.

If a few more world acts and hip hop acts were added i think it would be a near perfect lineup for me. This is the best electronic lineup ever. Super heady stuff.
Hip hop/reggae ----Snoop lion, the green, lyrics born, wallpaper. SOJA, Del, Lord t & eloise, RJD2, The coup
Don't skip on Rebelution! I know they're not too advanced and provide a very basic sound, but it is the most feel-good positive vibe reggae out the bunch.
Two years ago I thought waka was super sketch. I've been the past three and I'm going back this year, but 2011 wasn't the best environment. But with that being said, I didn't run into anything sketchy last year.
The electronica is stacked this year. Makes me wonder what kind of conflicts I will have to choose from. Is no one seriously excited for a Daft Punk tribute set? I think among all the big name electronic acts this sounds like it could be lots of fun. Maybe something perfect for the silent disco. Anyways, SOJA was a lot of fun at Bonnaroo this past year!! Summer please hurry.
I've been looking at youtube videos of Earphunk's Daft Punk sets and that's going to be a party!!! I won't miss that show!! Last year was my first Waka and I noticed that even though I wanted to see a bigger percentage of Waka's lineup, I saw more sets with less conflict than at Bonnaroo because of the multiple sets and the closer proximity of the stages and tents to each other. I also had more energy from not walking four miles from my campsite (I got BFE this last for the first time in five years and I'm still traumatized ) Seriously, summer can't get here fast enough!!! Can't wait for Waka > Roo this year!!!

We were close to ADA in main venue w/early arrival. I don't think they can move it, gotta be close to that road into the side entrance at Main Venue. But yea, killer spot. You didn't even have to leave your site I bet to catch mainstage shows.
I'm insanely excited about Wakarusa's 1oth year lineup! It is in Waka's best top three in my opinion.
Dispatch, Widespread, UM, STS 9, Nahko and MEdicine for the People, ZOOGMA, Wick It, Emacipator, Gorgol Bordello, Black Crowes, AMON TOBIN, rebelution, zeds dead, snoop lion, younder, soja, galactic, SHPONGLE, EOTO, son volt, gramatic, KDTU, Del the Funky homosapien, felix cartal, new monsoon, dirtfoot, mountsprout, the coup, the motet blueteck, on and so many more. Those are my favorites.
