Okonokos gave me a deeper appreciation of Z. I liked the album plenty but seeing them play it live and what the songs can become made me need to get more MMJ.

I got into them when they were on the 2011 lineup and started with Evil Urges (Circuital wasn't out yet). Probably their least consistent album, but it's definitely a great place to start. It made me a huge fan.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
If Jim James is playing a similar set at roo as he has the last few solo shows I would think he would be a little higher on the bill considering he will play some MMJ tunes.

he LP Questionnaire Name: Jim James Do you have any nicknames? Captain Goodies
1. Pretend you’re 15. Name three songs you'd put on a mix tape for your girlfriend/boyfriend. 1. Alpine Shadow- Floating Action 2. Father Stretch My Hands- Pastor T.L. Barrett 3. Love, Need and Want You- Patti LaBelle
2. Which evil villain would make the best President? We've already had enough evil villain presidents!!!!
3. What was your favorite cartoon as a child? The Muppet Show and Pinocchio
4. What superpower do you wish you had? The ability to forget
5. What would the title of your autobiography be? "Mixed Messages" My Life in the Pictures by Jim James
Pick Three I am looking forward to experiencing random chance alongside random acts of kindness. It is hard for plans to be made and kept at SXSW so you have to go with the flow...I like the experience of wandering around from thing to thing accidentally and going..."Oh wow-now I'm here and I used to be there!!! How'd I wind up here?! There sucked and now here is awesome!"
Oh my... cannot wait to see this in person. This song (it starts at the 3:30 mark) is so damn sexy and Jim shreds with his Flying V toward the end. Pure bliss...
Have you guys seen this yet? Full streaming audio of the Sleep No More performance. Really good stuff. I like the jamming out of Dear One and God's Love to Deliver.
I caught the first show of the tour last night in Louisville at The Brown Theatre. I must say, Jim blew me away. I knew it would be a good show, but it was spectacular. Not sure who any of his bandmembers were but they were all very tight. It was very awesome to see them extend many of the songs from Regions of light and just jam out, All Is Forgiven was particularly awesome. You could tell Jim really wanted to show out for his hometown. He gave an awesome shoutout about the recent Louisville national championship in basketball that got the whole crowd cheering. He also organized a moment of silence and had some beautiful words to say concerning the events in Boston. I'd urge anyone that had the opportunity to go see him at one of his shows on this tour.
Snapped a picture of the setlist:
Jim also came out by himself with an acoustic and played "Bermuda Highway" and "Wonderful" before the band came back on for the encore and they went into "Dear God"

Hmm, interesting that he is moving away from MMJ encore songs. I thought that really brought the show to another level. Hopefully he'll still sprinkle in tracks like Victory Dance and Touch Me Pt. 2 throughout the tour

He did play Bermuda Highway and Wonderful to start off the encore, they just weren't on the setlist for some reason.
Looks like the encore is consistently now one MMJ song, one New Multitudes song, and the rest are MoF songs. I'm okay with that, but it will nice if he reverts back to another MMJ song or two before next week.

Yeah, that's exactly what it was in Milwaukee. I actually really enjoyed the MoF songs more than I thought I would've.
Also, try not to fall asleep during the excruciatingly long version of God's Love to Deliver. That song is hard enough to get through when it's 3 1/2 minutes on the album; the 15+ minute live version was painful.
What is the song they segue into a techno jam? It must have been either All Is Forgiven or God's Love To Deliver but I can't recall. Though I do remember it being pretty intense!
