Friday night The Allmanacs and Phiasco are playing late night at headliners. They are calling it The Trinity of Jam playing Phish, The Allmans and The Dead. Admission is free with a Forecastle wristband or 5 dollars without one.
Ok so it looks like I can totally do this one by volunteering with Clean Vibes. Admission, check.
So, two things I have to figure out before I submit that application: Transportation - I can grab a Greyhound from Roanoke to Louisville, unless anyone else is passing through southwest VA (Blacksburg) and has room for one and a backpack. Lodging - I would be happy to chip in on a hotel room even if I have to sleep on the floor.
Thank you Inforoo for being awesome!
If all else fails I can offer my living room futon.

Just FYI for the out-of-towners, Headliners is a music hall that's about a 10 minute drive from Downtown Louisville.

How tough is it to get taxi service in downtown Louisville, especially later in the night?

It isn't to difficult. Headliners is only 5 minutes or so down the street and Germantown or The Highlands are also really close to downtown. It usually only takes a cab 10 to 20 minutes to come after you call them but you can probably catch a ride really easily to one of those areas of town.

Cityscoot is the shit. Same price as a cab and you don't have to go back for your car the next day.
In Louisville you can't just hail a cab (at least in my experience), you have to call the company and they'll send one. Forecastle weekend I'd expect the waits to be a little longer than normal, especially at night in the downtown area.
We have had something come up and can't attend Forecastle. We're going to be out of town next week and have two tickets to sell. I'm in Nashville and can meet up if any inforoo'rs need two tickets. Please send me a message.

Just found out I can't get the time off work to volunteer for post-show cleanup so I'm hoping someone knows where I can find a ticket for less than $130 (Price Level 1). I only need a single ticket and it seems as if every one trying to get rid of tickets only wants to sell them as a pair.
I'll be scouring Craigslist but figured I'd see if any Inforoo homies knew as well. Tongus or kballard or any of you other Louisville people have any ideas?
I knew I should have gotten my ticket during the $100 presale, kickin myself now.

We have two for $250 total. Maybe you can find someone else to go in on them. I just can't split them. Let me know.

The pre-sale was a fucking joke. I waited online and started trying to buy right when they came on sale. I refreshed over a hundred times to no avail. Ticketmaster was locked up. Forecastle kept saying they still had tickets on Facebook, but they had actually sold out in the first 15 minutes. So I spent an extra half-an-hour refreshing for tickets that didn't exist. The only reason it took fifteen minutes was because Ticketmaster kept messing up. They only had like five tickets or something available (okay, I'm exaggerating, but there were very few available).

I bet this year has more people. The media passes get approved mid to late June and last year I had several options for a hotel room but this year almost every where was sold out by now. I did get lucky being barely a mile away.
Oh and to those who attended last year; does Roll Call include Jim James solo? I remember the festival organizers having a bit of a problem trying to implement this last year.

It appears that The Flea on Market will be running on July 12-14. It is only a few blocks away from the waterfront and would be a good place to go grab a bloody mary or a bite to eat before the festival opens on Saturday and Sunday.

This is also a good place to grab food from the food trucks. Or just food at a restaurant. Market is a nice area.
Just FYI, Meat is a pretty famous speak-easy bar down in that area. It's temporarily closed, but is supposed to open back up in the next week. If you decide to go, call them beforehand. I'd hate for you to get there and find that it's still closed!

Holy shit am I late to this party. But I ABSOLUTELY will be at Forecastle! I live here, went last year, had a blast and I can't wait for this year. Even better, I have a press pass this year. So THAT should be fun. Can anyone catch me up on important happenings in this thread so I don't have to read back 16 pages?
As a native Cincinnatian, I did not even know they had Skyline in the Ville. It is unique and you will either love or hate Cincy Chili. It is unlike any other chili you will ever have. We drink it here so I won't need to be hitting it up while in town. Cincy chili was the think I missed most in college but as a UK grad at least I did not have far to go when I had the craving.
