Long story short... maybe. I guess I will find out Tuesday how solid this "source" is. Maybe in the future I can get more good intel from him. Don't really want to share a lot of info, but I will say that I got word.
Based on educated speculation, if this "source" is right about the stop, Gary Clark Jr may be involved.

Ok so I called my source and he said there is an announcement regarding Mumford and Sons playing here in st Augustine coming today. He told me they are playing a small venue here that holds like 400 people, and he got the info from the tourist development council.
This doesn't add up.
I still think its GOTR but he got some info mixed up when he got it. It's possible that the guy who owns/books for this venue is involved in bringing GOTR here, and my source got confused with the info. It would stand to reason that the guy who books for this club would be involved given his background etc. He gets an infinity pass to Roo every year and works closely with the Capp Dogg doing high priority things (like shuttling the owners parents around all weekend).
One thing is for sure. Mumford is coming here and it's getting announced today.

If that happens, and you're right about the after party, I will be at both. I really hope you're right. Fortunately, I have some 'ins' at the place the afterparty would be held, and can pretty much guarantee Ill get tickets to it (for Audra and I at least). If this is the case, Ill do my best to get more than 2, and I will open my apartment up to some inforoosters to crash and party. I live about 2 miles from where GOTR would be, and about 1.5 miles from where the afterparty would be. The next 4.5 hours are going to be pretty friggin excruciating.
Edit: I have bunks, a big living room and room for about 4-6 total depending on how comfortable people want to be. Oh, and I live across the street from the beach. So if you're planning on going if its here, hit me up PM style and let me know
alright, double post here. I realize I am obsessed with what the deal is here with St Augustine and GOTR, but I found another piece of evidence that I overlooked yesterday.

Surf, you do know that St. Augustine is like a second home to me and I'm always looking for an excuse to get back down there...it's the best kept secret in Florida.
Haha Surf. People are begging for a hint when there are mustaches, a sepia color scheme and the same date as the GOTR announcement. I guess this is just another instance that most people aren't music crazed like we are.
Wannaberoo- if there is one near us, you better be there whether you go to FL or not!
Unless the date is juuuust right with plane tickets that are practically given away, I am sure FL will be out for me. But I feel confident that there will be a NE date. (PS Surf- there is a chance that my sis and her husband might move to Jax this year. It's ever changing so I'll let you know if anything solidifies)

How did I not noticed this til now? Country dates on all the road signs. If one is Canada, one is the UK, that only leaves three in the US- one of which in Saint Augustine. If Bacon is right about Montana, that only leaves one mystery location.

It would be tight, but with 2 inflatable mattresses I can fit 7 visitors, and I'm totally down for that. Bunk beds, the couch and the 2 blow ups.
Who knows, maybe my sister will be down there too. She just sent me a link of a condo in Jacksonville Beach. But lets not get ahead of ourselves! Let's let 8:30 roll around with the official locations and dates...

I agree, not getting ahead of myself here- just playing devil's advocate to get us all down there. Party on the beach, crash at surf's, would be awesome time.
At this point, it's just a matter of dates. It's all but confirmed.
I'll find out dates and location at the 4 pm press conference at the Visitors Center (yeah, I'm so sick I went to the amphitheater and asked if/when they were going to announce what they posted on Facebook) oh, and through the window I looked at the guy and said "it's Mumford, isn't it" with a smile and a wink and he turned beet red and said "uhhhmmmm, I don't know, they don't tell me anything"
Just don't listen to me at all in this thread. I was thinking that all five stops were US and than when there's one time for a general US announcement, it's usually EST.. I just am not thinking. Yes, 3:30. Sigh.

I really did just wanna make sure my math was right- lol- I had already been questioning when this announcement would be today so I didn't sit around for nothing, which I do anyway.
It's a great place to see a show, but this won't be at the amphitheater. It'll probably be on the lawn of the fort. Which is beyond amazing.
EDIT: when we figure out who's coming, it'll be time to figure out the food/drink situation. I LOOOOOOOOVE to cook. I'm thinking local fare. Shrimp, snapper, grouper, oysters (depending on the month), lo country boil, fried scallops, Minorcan chowder, etcccccccx
