Once Michael K Williams retweeted me. I said the same thing "I have to see him now." An ass whooping anda restraining order later and I deactivated my twitter.

I decided I was gonna see him regardless of conflicts (if he's there, looks likely) after discovering it was J.Tillman from Fleet Foxes. I got real excited about it after listening to, and reading up on the creation process of the album ( anyone know when that novel might surface?). I'm now driven to be front row Center after hearing how great his live shows are. Should be a highlight of the weekend!
I know what Pondo feels in a way. If an artist re-shares an article or something I write about them, I feel automatically closer to that artist or deep down inside me, like them a little bit more.

So, so bummed right now. My sis lives downtown and she said she'd go to first ave to get our tickets (to avoid online fees) aaaand she didn't. It's now sold out.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.
When I saw him in Columbus about a month ago, the band really lengthened Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings, in a very, very good way. They added the long psychedelic part, like in the video, but it sounded even better live and it seemed to go on forever. I was pretty much blown away.

When I saw him in Denver he dropped his mic stand right in front of me and then asked if I was alright. The connection between us was palpable. Don't be surprised if I elbow my way to the front of the crowd Thursday saying, "It's cool, we've met. Excuse me, you're all very nice, but Josh and I have been close for awhile."
easily my No.1 right now. taking odds though... how early does he play on thursday and how packed is his set?
Could he be a Friday Saturday or Sunday afternoon act? I can't see why not.
Friday, Saturday, or Sunday doesn't seem likely. Tour dates below:
06/11 – Cincinnati, OH @ 20th Century Theater 06/12 – Louisville, KY @ Headliners Music Hall 06/14 – St. Louis, MO @ The Firebird 06/15 – Columbia, MO @ Blue Note 06/16 – Lawrence, KS @ Granada 06/18 – Denver, CO @ Ogden Theatre

I have been talking him up to everyone I know like crazy. So freaking good. I was getting into him at the beginning of January just before his NY show. Hesitated buying tickets and they sold out, but then new tour dates were announced. Can't wait to see him in May! : D

Thanks for enabling my laziness ITM. I hope I don't miss anything too awesome. Earlier Thursday the better!
This type of thread is the reason I still spend a lot of time here. This is a band I never would have heard of without Inforoo, I think it's pretty great stuff. You can call me Nancy.

Been listening through this a few times the past few days. Very much getting into it. Solid debut album, for sure.
Are there any songs that he doesn't play live?
When I saw him, he left out O I Long To Feel Your Arms Around Me and Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings, but that was a festival set - he usually plays them all except for O I Long

What festival was that, Tom? I remember him doing "Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings" at ACL.

I thought he did too! But I couldn't remember the whole set so I looked at the setlist online and didn't see it - should have trusted my head over the internet. Okay, I'm not crazy.
Here's a cool one from FJM not on the album... killer lyrics and great performance. Oh Roo schedulers... please no conflicts between FJM, Alt-J, and Django Django. Don't know what I will do if they conflict on Thursday.
