Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
The third Annual Quack Club - 2013 version- planning is officially underway!
For those that do not know or do not remember , QC is a gathering of Inforoosters that occurs at a super secret location in Warren, RI and will coincidentally (haha) be held at the exact same time as the Newport Folk Festival. The shananapants and tomfoolery will begin around Wednesday July 24th, and generally will end by Tuesday July 30th. Earlier arrivals may be requested however you will be put to work prepping.
In a nutshell, if you are going to NFF and want to stay with an amazing group of peeps, Quack Club is the place for you. Rules as always are you must not be a summer's breeze, must play well with others, generally get along with the folks that post in this and the NFF thread, not have allergies or issues with cats/dogs, are willing to leave any drama at home, and want to have a sheetz ton of fun listening to great music for the weekend. No weapons of any kind are allowed at QC except bad morning breath. We have a Levon, a tazer, two boxes of macaroni and cheese, and two black belts readily available to protect guests of QC.
If you are new - wait or repeater- to QC and are found to have willfully violated the above rules, you will be relocated to a tent on the front lawn and subject to the random wrath of the wild turkeys. Google Dog Shaming to get the idea.
Quacker and I provide a place to stay family/Roo style. AKA couches, air mattresses, NEW add.. cots with mattresses, a few beds, plenty of space for tents for the outdoor types, wherever you can find a comfy spot. It is recommended you practice or refresh your walking around/over many sleeping bodies prior to arrival.
We will provide a boatload of food for breakfast and post fest dinner friday/sat/sun as well as stock the bar. Additions of your favorite or local beers are always welcome. Days before or after the cook will be off duty or busy prepping. The fridge will be stocked - help yourself. Quack Club is corn, vegetarian, and carnivore friendly.
It will be a lot like last years QC however due to the economy, planetary alignment, cost of xanax, a green crayon, and a weeble, we will NOT be arranging mass transportation from QC to NFF this year. Our focus for getting there and back will be for ourselves, our girls, and those folks that are flying to RI (so they do not need to get a car rental).
We truly regret that we can not do this part again this year. The cost was a metric ton and logistics were a nightmare especially with the deer tick after shows. Please make friends and carpool as much as possible. Parking is approx $12 a day and we can certainly assist with parking fees to help.
Will probably look to cap the list at around 25 stayers (overnighters).
Will get some pics posted soon for new folks thinking about QC. Prior to the festival will provide via PM all of the information your mother should know before you go stay with people you have not met.
NFF is approx 40 minutes from QC if you follow Quacker It's at least 3000 miles away from any troubles, worries, or other life issues for at least 3 days. <3 <3

I'm going to buy my NFF ticket right now (2-day plus Friday) - so I want to say count me in, but I can't 100% guarantee it just yet. Regardless, I just want to say thanks to fawn and quacker in advance for your hospitality to people you really don't know - that's a rare thing these days, and it's greatly appreciated!
The reality is that there is always a chance it wont go quite as hoped, however we have found that the Roosters that do make it have enriched our lives in so many ways and hopefully we have returned the same. Sweet sweet quiet Sotopop left a note on our fridge last year that is still there to this day.
We take steps to ensure that our isle of misfits is welcoming, homey, loving, and also secure while we are all away. Plus we really do have a tent ready for the front yard just in case. Thankfully its not been needed as yet.
We are both very excited to start the planning for another epic weekend with our 'Bonnaroo east' version family.
I may have to take you guys up on this! I know I haven't met many of you as I post way more on the Lollaboard and I do on Inforoo (although, don't lump me on their side during the few board wars that have taken place), but I think this would be an excellent way to experience a new festival/area.
However, I will be making the trip with a friend if that's okay. If so, I'll have to talk to her about this first.
If we end up elsewhere though, I'd love a chance to meet some of you regardless.
I would love to come but unfortunately it's not going to happen this year. I am front loading my Summer with travels and I won't be able to do anything come July. I know everyone will have a fantastic time, you guys better come on chat so I can pretend I'm there.
Momma Fawn, what about those of us that would maybe like to come to QC, but not NFF? I may be able to make it up, probably without wife, but with tickets sold out and such??? I cant commit to anything right now, butI would love to come get me some QC therapy this summer.
Time off confirmed? What? I better get that weekend off. Which means, unless I switch jobs, I will have that weekend off and I do not see myself switching jobs in the next 6 months. Quack Club, where you come for the Quack, but stay for the Club.

You know we'd love to have you join us Roof!! QC 'aint QC without a 'Batshiiit Crazy MF'.
FYI the tickets are not sold out. The early bird and three day passes sold out. You can still buy tickets by the day.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Thanks for being so inviting! That's incredibly generous of you.
I went ahead and booked a hotel, but that's still refundable if I want to cancel it. Let me run this by my buddy to see what he feels like doing and I'll give a yes/no by the end of the week.

Two day passes? Heather and I got those. Just hope Friday's headliner doesn't interest you too much, can hang out at QC while everyone else is at the fort.
Heh. It was Autumn's favorite fest that she's been to and for that reason alone,I'm sure we will make it back one year. KM pointed out this was the weekend after P4K in Chicago, so probably not this one.
Never thought I was one to tease, I prefer to call it . . . Festival Foreplay
I have wanted to go the past couple years, and even thought about coming up for the Northeast campout yall did last year, but it just hasn't been in the cards. Cost of travel and being so close to my birthday have held me back. I know, I know excuses . . . . Hoping I can change that this year though. Maybe I need to scrap the pool party and exchange it for a Quacking party instead
I am going to try to make it 4-realzies though, but don't hold your breath (at least til after Bonnaroo, then we will see what I can do)
I wanna go but there's no way hubby will be able to get the time off. Wanna pick me up on the way custeph?
I've been hoping to arrange a work trip to CT at the same time, so that travel would be taken care of. That's what is holding me back right now. Maybe I should just plan on meeting you & us taking a road trip! Seriously, let's talk about this.

Didn't we meet at brunch?!?! Hell I don't remember! I've been meaning to invite you and the fam out to the beach this summer if you want so I'm definitely down with it. If you're serious I'll run thus past my darling hubby and see if his head pops off.
katbur2, yes we met up at Matt's tree for the parade & I remember running into you at least one more time going into centeroo. We parked in access as well. My only problem with driving is as of right now I do not have a car that I feel comfortable making that trip. We're hoping to get a new one sometime this summer (YAY!) but not sure if it will be in time for QC/NFF.
As for husbands, I have no doubt mine's head will pop off once he hears what I have planned. I have yet to mention to him that I was hoping to make the trip. When I go up to CT for work I always stay the weekend to sight see, so I was hoping to throw in QC/NFF as part of my work trip. Driving to it is a whole another story
