There's a good reason why I started taking the Monday after NFF off from work, or at the least call out. It just seems to get better. I think Heather is free Monday as well.
Friday however, she has to work. And I think I'll just stay in CT/MA until she gets out Fri afternoon. I'm undecided leaning no on making an appearance on Thursday.

Friday makes sense LD. We have to get the van in the am, get the last of the friday folks here, and get over to Newport.. offhand without checking i'm thinking out the door by 12:30 or so. So it may be a little hectic as we get into our group groove and get out the door. Now if you two want to come after work on friday, have Heather let the pups out to relieve and heat up some dinner food and drink some beer while we are out.. teehee.

Maybe. I'll be around Worcester until 2 or so, but she's in Lincoln until 5 and it makes no sense to cross through Providence at rush hour. It's a wait and see at this time. She might not want to go down for just a couple hours and head back to Woon, while I may not want to spend tons of time alone in the house.
LMK what everyone's schedules are, for like arrivals and departures - and I'll see what I can do, and maximize our time with people that weekend.

My friend who came to Camp Bisco with me last week came via plane- and it was over 4 hours late (8:22p vs 12:36a)! Let's hope that your flight has better luck! I don't know the area that well, Fawn/LD/Quacker, will we have to make our way through Prov after the pickup? If so, I'll take happy hour suggestions to wait out the traffic (hehe).
Side note.. B&D Glassworks is by you guys? I forgot that I met the owner at Roo last year (he was a former Roo neighbor of my Roo crew) and he was a vendor at Camp. I got to know the blowers really well and they said they're shop is suuppppper close to you guys (I used the CVS as a reference). I think it's a random coincidence. Dro has a strong accent, too, which is funny because before Heather, I didn't realize that Rhode Islanders had accents! Now there are two of you!

Bonz - I just PM'd ILTG's flight info. 4:30 arrival so yes on a friday there will be traffic Thursday it should not be too bad.. Since they changed the bridge it does not get as bad as it used to going across 195. Depending on how you approach the airport - example if you come down from rt 6 to the airport - check out the northbound traffic on the way. I can map out a sneak around for you if you dont mind some smaller roads to keep it moving. And Thank you!!

Rt 6 is how I usually head out that way unless you tell me otherwise Having a backup way in case of bad traffic might not be a bad idea!
Good - rte 6 to 10 to 95 south to the airport. Check out northbound traffic on the 6 minutes down 95. If its flowing ok, go to quack club 95 North, 195 east over the bridge. If its bad, go over the river and through the woods. Strike that/ reverse it, through the woods then over the river. I'll map it for you soon as i can.
Yeah I def plan on bringing water (although last year I don't think my water made it out of the car?) as well as a couple of 6 packs of tasty regional beer, a 30 rack of something cheaper, champagne, and, of course, vagina vodka.

Wow - the menu for this shindig sounds amazing! I might have purchased some Texas BBQ sauce, salsa, and beer at the grocery store last night (hello checked bag of only food - good thing I'm flying Southwest). bonzai - thanks for agreeing to pick me up from the airport! Will we get you back to the airport on Monday. No worries. We seem to have a tradition started of doing an airport drop on monday then going up to da' hill for noms. We'll be happy to help you get primed for the flight home.
Oh yes on the cookies! WE will also have water, soda, booze etc.. didn;t think to list that yet.
MEntioned earlier - coolers and folding lawn chairs would be a help. We ended up with a LOT of beer last year to chill.

The fiance is going to Maryland for work training that week, and I don't have to be at work until 2pm Tuesday, so I'm in no rush to leave to go back to an empty house. I volunteer for cleaning duties, fawnmart . I'm at your disposal!

Super awesome of all to offer to assist with clean up. It's really appreciated! I tend to expend nervous? energy - wrong term - I just dont sit still well unless I have a Big Fish puter game in front of me. The big trick is having someone make sure Bunnies DanCat gets locked out saturday or sunday in the wee hours. Outside will be spotless when we get up. Overall - it really did not take us long last year to put humpty dumpty back together again.
Bonz - do you have the google maps free App on your phone? If not - get it! : ) It will help if you need to go through the river and over the woods. haha. That goes for everyone that might be driving into NFF or town after. Google maps is freekin amazing. Our girls loaded it for me last year and i know this is a sore spot - but we got to see trampled thanks to google maps app. It snuck us through a lot of quiet neighborhoods.
Here's my best guess on departure times for the masses - Friday - first real artist is at 2:25. A little concerned about this being the first time EVA that NFF has started that early on a friday. People aka traffic may be caught off guard. To be safe- the van should leave between 12:30 and 1 pm at the absolute latest.
Saturday and Sunday - music starts at 11. 9:45 at the latest. Get up - consume your vices, grab some food - make a plate for the ride if desired, quick shower if desired. If you need a mirror post shower to fluff and puff - free up the bathrooms - use a mirror in the mast or guest bed etc. < - Not necessarily in any particular order..
I will be driving in a little after the van. Expect TLC will prob be with me. Possibly 2 more. Might have room for 1-3 depending on our girls plans. Otherwise on your own if you miss the van.
For those that have not been to NFF - there is a 5-10 minute walk from the top of the hill that we always seem to park on, through the park, through the gates, to the first venue of your choice. It's easy IMO to move from venue to venue if you're polite and not walking like cattle.
The weather is looking better so far. They are projecting cooler but not sure on the humidity yet. If << breaks this Sunday like they say, we have the possibility of fabulous mid 80's with an ocean breeze. Fingers crossed. There is very little shade there. BRING YOUR SUNSCREEN!! If you need shade, sun umbrella, hat, concert chair, etc. Be prepared for rain just in case. It's end of July in RI.. sudden T-storms are common. If you are out of town and stalking the weather - go to TurnToTen.com. this is our local news station and they do the best job with our local weather forecast.

The van.. all set for pick up friday Am. IF i am not there or lose my mind - MAKE SURE i take pictures. had no issues with this company at all last year, but am currently fighting cruise america for a fraudulent damage charge (it was there and pointed out before we left). Must get pictures before we leave just to be safe.

My best guess for routing would be: 84 East to exit 69. Turn right. 74 East until the end. Turn left. 44 East until it splits in Pomfret. Stay straight for 101 East. 101 turns into 6 a few miles into RI. Stay on 6 until 295. Then 295 South -> 37 East -> 95 South -> Exit 13
Other way is: 2 East -> 395 North -> 165 East (which goes into RI) -> 3 North -> 102 West -> 95 North -> Exit 13

Holy Shiiiitttzz!! It's almost here!!!!!! It's coming together! What i can not quite figure out is I have a lot of real work-work to do the next 2-3 days and I do Not know how I am going to focus and get it done! July is 'supposed' to be quiet work wise. Not so.
First almost full day without the fracture boot, cooking up a storm. OY!!! (I think that's the non swear version of Q-U-A-C-K! ) But better every day.
Can not wait to see everyone, see/hear some great music, and make great memories!

4 more LONG days of work, then freedom! Thursday night will be spent cooking, then an early Friday departure, and I'll be rolling into QC around 11. I'm gonna bring my extra cooler, do you need an 10x10 ezup? I can throw it in the car easy peasy.

Yea, what else is still lacking? Should I try to bring a cooler? I can bring a few chairs but will have to snag them when we leave for the festival on Sunday (since i'll be leaving from Newport after the DT show....or befoere it if I can't get in).
All good with ez ups. We've got about 14 chairs so if the collective have 8-10 more should be all good.
We have four or five coolers of various size.. last year pretty sure we ended up with about ten working coolers. Ya'll like your beer. : ) Down the road from us about 3 minutes we have an ice house with a self serv vending machine. 30 lb bag - 5$. 5 lb bags 1$. If anyone needs the address to ice up before you roll in let me know.
The BBQ ribs are now pulled pork? They fell off the bone on the way to the zip lock/freezer. Quacker said that is O-k. : )
Been a few very long days and worth every minute! We so so look forward to seeing everyone. Most unfortunately Mz. Valentine and her plus one will not be joining us. She has too much going on with new house etc. I've acquired her sat/sun tickets and one is tentatively being 'exchanged' and the other is being gifted via an artist friend of ours that we qsaroo'd last year because he missed the ticket sale. Some of you might get to meet him. Great guy.
