Did you ever see that episode of South Park where the internet goes out and Randy has to sneak into the government building to get more than his rationed time? My cubicle is a lot like that right now.

I came here to announce (to no one in particular) that I'm gonna go to this show. To me, the biggest conflict of the weekend is P.tM / Four Tet. I've never seen Four Tet, and I love them, but I can't say no to P.tM, especially on the Which Stage! But little did I know that by coming here I'd find a stream of the new album!! Thanks to you guys for always being so on it!

Nah man, I've seen Four Tet before and I wouldn't recommend him over P.TM. I should say I'm not into that kind of music and he performed just fine, but I'd choose a live band over a live set any day.
The real conflict is Tallest Man on Earth vs. P.TM. I love Portugal but this will be the fourth time I see them, so I might end up staying over at TMoE if I'm feeling like it.

Listening to the new record for the first time. Halfway through and really digging it. Can't wait to see some of these live. Didn't know that members of Haim sang backup on this album...maybe they stop by for a song at the Roo set. Also, went to portugaltheman.com and it looks like they re-designed the site from the last time I visited. Some cool photos when you go there.
I have to comment on the new record and some other stuff about this band( it might be long but I need to vent, and I feel safe here)
The new record... I had to listen to this a lot before an opinion generated, the production is definitely something noticed on this record more than any other album but that shouldn't be a surprise...danger mouse. This record is exactly that, a record. There really isn't a standout song and the album is short, running at about 48 minutes, I think its something you listen to all at once and as a whole it is a very solid album. The ideas and recurring themes really bring the album together, which is very cool and something not really done a lot these days. Negatives: too much clapping, keys, and group singing( I love this about them and they have always done it but it seems too much in some instances here). Positives: they cuss in two of the songs which is something ive always liked about there older stuff( the devil, Chicago, the bottom). Cool phrases and singing tones.
Overall album has bright music with dark and sometimes outright subversive lyrics. 8/10 don't necessarily like dangermouses touch here but it works, maybe just once though.

have followed this band ever since I saw them on the bill in 2009, I bought church mouth and it really grew to be awesome. finally saw them at the hangout in 2011, and then I saw them at bonnaroo and lolla that same year, in 2012 I got to see them at a smaller venue and that is no question where they shine. Don't like how gay the new key boardist seems but he is good and that applies to the drummer also. They where capris sometimes and they pull it off about half the time.
God I love this band and I hope their next album is more raw because I don't want to lose them the same way I did the black keys( so glad I caught them in 2009, right before they changed) I don't care about gay people but this kyle dude seems like the biggest pussy ever, not look wise but the way he talks come on dude grow a pair
