I don't understand how the keyboardist potentially being gay has anything to do with the album.
With Portugal the man being my favorite band, I am more critical of them as some may be. The keyboardist isn't gay, at least I don't believe so. It has something to do with the album when they are getting interview about it and he sounds like a panda. and Its true that a lot of gay people are soft and sound whimpy, not all of course. I have no problem with gay people, I would just prefer if a member of my favorite band spoke with some confidence instaed of sounding all insecure and shiz. I shouldn't have said gay, so no offense... He is probably straight anyway. some straight people are whimpy too, but he does come off as gay, according to my gaydar. that was a joke ill quit now

I don't think you get the point people are trying to make. Your comments come off as pretty offensive, and here is why:
A) It's not cool to talk shiz about someone because of their perceived sexuality B) It's not cool to to use the word GAY to describe negative attributes you erroneously associate with perceived sexuality

I don't know why "you people" are being so intolerant of Frank's intolerance. Why can't a bigot inarticulately express his opinion without a bunch of liberal handwringers jumping all over him? I thought this was America.
I have to comment on the new record and some other stuff about this band( it might be long but I need to vent, and I feel safe here) Negatives: too much clapping, keys, and group singing( I love this about them and they have always done it but it seems too much in some instances here). Positives: they cuss in two of the songs which is something ive always liked about there older stuff( the devil, Chicago, the bottom). Cool phrases and singing tones.

To echo respect21 - and get this thread back on solid footing - I'm looking forward to hearing cuts from the new album performed live. I think this has the chance to be one of the top shows of the weekend.

Just saw them in D.C. last night. They rocked the house! Sold out show and the energy from the crowd and the band made it incredible. Im 100% going to see them again at Roo. If you haven't seen them before, give them a shot this year.

I wasn't too bummed about PTM having a daytime set before, but after seeing them Friday night it's pretty obvious they should be at night. On their last tour their stage production was simple but effective green tea bubble lights with lots of smoke. Signing to a major label and coming off their best selling album is paying dividends - the new stage set up is amazing, they have what are essentially led mountains, major upgrade. Regardless, this show will still be amazing, and the new tunes sounded great too.
On another note they posted a pretty lame photo on Instagram last night. It was a screen shot of John's text conversation where he said something along the lines of, "Bring tacos you r*tard. Don't forget sauces either dipshiz"
I was surprised to see that type of language, and it was a very distasteful thing to post. The picture has since been deleted.

Had a blast in DC. They were really into it and even screwed up and restarted 2 new ones. Hung with Zack before and after and John for about 20 min after. Pretty cool stuff! Cant wait for a whole dif experience Sat. And ya John was totally chill and nice and nobody was bad boying it up. All good!
