$484 for 5 nights. Thats not bad at all. Thats about what my 3 nights of MOEMS cost.
This means that Dr. Patel hasn't caught wind of the new festival yet. We'll all be receiving phone calls in January letting us know our reservations has doubled in price, and we can cancel our rooms, or bend over and get fisted up the ass.

Shpongle has his Spring tour wrap up April 5th in Philly, so he will be near Asheville(somewhat)around this time. However, he does hit Asheville early in his tour (Feb 16).
Did the majority of touring artists at Mntn Oasis skip Asheville, or did most double up?
Also, is Shpongle the type of artist you guys could see playing Moog? My first inclination is no, but I'm really not too sure what to expect from the lineup.
Edit: Just saw Shpongle played in 2012 so I guess that answers question #2.

Not sure if this info has been shared, but it looks like the full lineup announcement has been pushed from Dec 12th to Dec 19th. I also found out that ticket prices will increase from $199 to $299 on Dec 19th. I really hope that some of the artists they announce before Dec. 19th are solid because a $100 increase is pretty steep. If I'm going I want to pull the trigger at the $199 price.
Here's the quote they used in a FB comment, "Music announcements begin Nov 21st. Lineup announcement is Dec. 19th. 5-day tickets are currently $199 at Phase 1 Pricing and will move to Phase 2 Pricing of $299 on Dec. 19th."

I mean I know the festival is five days, but that's a bit of sticker shock. I doubt the fest sells well at that price unless they get a few big or at least rare bookings.

...So I guess they're not announcing an artist today? I also saw that they will be announcing all headliners on Dec. 19th, so if they do release anything early it most likely will be mid tier acts.

$299 is definitely steep unless they pull a few big names. That's basically Bonnaroo pricing. I'm trying to let the price get me excited because it implies big names rather than just disappoint me by being so high. Either way, I don't see myself missing this.
I'm not saying $299 is Daft Punk pricing, but $299 is Daft Punk pricing
Don't do this to yourself. You're gonna end up disappointed. Hope for Kraftwerk.
I'm sorry, this is just wrong... "lowering" expectations from Daft Punk to Kraftwerk, just doesn't sound right to me. At all. Kraftwerk is best case scenario in my eyes.
Edit: Hah... sorry, never mind, I misinterpreted what I believe you were saying. If there's a "big act" we get for what type artists I'm expecting for this fest, that would probably be the top of the list.

Even though money is tight right now I think my move has to be buy tix @ $199. If the lineup isn't worth it, it should be no problem to resell and make my money back.

Hey guys, I have exciting news! I met (actually re-met, but now we're Facebook friends) a guy who does professional concert photography, including at AC events. I don't want to get too specific about him/our meeting because he might have an account here (PM me if you want more verification), and I told him I wouldn't tell. However, I'm clearly going to tell. He's 100% credible, just trust me. He knows the full Moogfest 2014 lineup as it currently stands, but said he couldn't tell me anything. He assured me it was awesome. I told him that despite how awesome it currently is, the price is just too steep for what's been released too far, plus it's shitty that the lineup drop coincides with the $100 price increase. I deplored him to give me one name to convince me to buy the ticket before the price increase. He agreed. I'm happy to say that we're getting a Talking Heads reunion. Not even shitting you, that's what he said. Needless to say, I'm buying my ticket before prices go up.

If this is true, I'm there. I think it's obvious by my name I'm excited!
