first time at bonnaroo..traveling with a CPAP and a family of 5... anyone hear of details such as how big a space are we able to have? the same as if we were not in access camping?
They have never specified in the emails I have received, but I have never asked directly about the size of the space. Given the policy on your Access companion having to set up outside of the powered camp area, I am going with the assumption that the spaces will be pretty tightly regulated and closer to how big spots are technically supposed to be. If you wanted to ask them directly, send access@bonnaroo.com an email and let us know what they say.

I sent them an email asking about the entrances since my plan was to come in through East Bushy Branch originally. I tacked on a couple more that I thought of.
1) The email linked the Access Guide which is still the 2012 version. I asked if any changes would affect me for the 2013 version. They responded that the only changes will be in the Service Animal Policy. 2) They stated you could not get to Access from East Bushy Branch entrance due to traffic patterns. They highly encouraged me to enter through West Bushy Branch. 3) They confirmed that CPAP people only need the hangtag they send you and ID upon arrival. 4) cramfam, They confirmed that the tents in the powered campsites are the same size as regular spaces.
Sorry to paraphrase, but it looked like they were responding from a phone or tablet and it was a little hard to understand.
Dave Maynar, thank you for tucking my question in with yours!!!
traveling from maryland with 3 kids (19,17,13)for our first bonnaroo.. wondering how access camping will be different from the other camping? aside from the one, heavenly plug.

I can't really speak for the powered sites but the access camping areas aren't really different from other camps, just closer to Centeroo.
Also if you aren't familiar with the different entrance tollbooths and you're trying to get to Access use either exit 111 or 112 off I-24 (follow Bonnaroo signage posted).

I have camped Access the last two years. Last year was much more cramped/crowded space wise than the year before. The proximity to Centeroo is the only true advantage of Access.

alenamarie (and anyone else interested), I got this in response when I sent my Dr. note in today.
"Bonnaroo 2013 Policy for Powered Campsites
To make it less difficult for persons who need to use powered medical devices such as CPAP machines overnight, Bonnaroo is providing a limited number of campsites with access to power. Those who use powered wheelchairs and scooters or batteries for their medical devices may charge these at the Access Center. The following procedures are in place to make this service possible.
1. The person who needs to camp in this area should send a doctor’s note stating that this person needs to use a powered, medically necessary device. There is no need to include information about the condition that makes the device necessary. Send a pdf or a photograph of the letter with the doctor’s letterhead including contact information, to access@bonnaroo.com by May 30. This is to make sure that only those who need this service for medically necessary devices are given permission to use it.
2. In your request to use a powered campsite, let us know your cell phone number and the date and time you will be arriving. We will hold the space for 12 hours past your stated arrival time but may release it after that, unless we hear differently from you. Contact access@bonnaroo.com with your arrival time updates.
3. Bring a surge protector and a 25’ outdoor extension cord.
4. Do not plug in any other devices. Power is ONLY provided for necessary medical devices. The power supply is very limited and if you overuse the power it takes it away from other needs at the Access Center. Patrons who abuse this service will have to leave the powered campground area.
5. This is a temporary event and Bonnaroo cannot guarantee the power. Be sure to provide backup as you would at home. Remember that it is possible for all power to go out, even the power provided by the electric company. That said, if the power should go out, we will do what we can to get it running again as quickly as possible.
6. You must care for yourself. We are not responsible for alerting you if the power goes out.
7. If there is a companion vehicle it must arrive at the same time as the primary vehicle. It will be parked nearby but not in the powered campsite area.
Write to access@bonnaroo.com if you have further questions."

Hah, the guy that's doing the light design for it again this year is on Inforoo now. Take it up with him
In other news, are people still meeting up at Wal Mart on wednesday to sort of caravan into Access together? If so, what time?
Cpap here too! I'll already be on site volunteering, moving camp from vol to access on Wednesday morning. Ill roll out the red carpet and cold beers for everyone though!!
I will be in Access with the 2 ladies I am pictured with, my mother and sister. We are getting there Wednesday night to set up camp. I would love to meet some new people so if you see us please stop by and say hello!
Anyone planning to arrive wednesda yafternoon for access camping? My buddy and I will be at the Walmart in manchester by Wednesday afternoon we should look for the window things so we can caravan inand camp together. Though I guess there won't be that many access people going in wednesday and we should all be very close anyhow!
So glad I found this thread...I know it may be past the deadline but I'm a CPAPer too... I hope I get a good response and can get in to be with you all. I camped last several years without the machine and there is a HUGE difference- tired every day and not enjoying the music as much- needing to retire early, etc....
Heard back from Laura- an Access Consultant...she was fast in her reply. I'm getting in by the skin of my teeth, thanks to this thread!! Can't wait to meet everyone else!

I'll be there Wednesday. Anyone else who is coming Wednesday should totally try to meet up at Wal Mart. Not sure how we should flag each other down. Ideas?

It's right off exit 114. It has been a traditional gathering area since it is probably the closest place with a super large parking lot, and everyone always forgets something, so a Wal-Mart trip can help.

I am volunteering at Roo and will be onsite Tuesday afternoon. Until this morning, I had no idea that Access might be an option for me with the logistical concerns of my early arrival. A couple emails with Laura and........ I'M IN! I won't even have to move campsites/sleep in Volunteer on Tuesday. She gave me her cell # and I will be able to go directly to Access camping after checking in on Tuesday. YEEE-HAW!
I was concerned about ticking off my neighbors in Volunteer camping because of my very unladylike, very loud snoring. I'm looking forward to seeing y'all on the farm!

Yay for a fellow volunteer in Access!!! I'm pre-show so Sunday through Tuesday I'm in volunteer camping, then moving to access Tuesday morning. The only thing to remember: you still have to check in before your volunteer shifts, which may mean a hike to pod 1, or wherever your check in is at, just allow enough time to get there! See you Tuesday!

Sweet! Actually, this all started this morning when I read one of your posts in this thread. So, thanks for clue-ing in a fellow volunteer. Yes, I'll still have to walk to check-in. I'm working Toll Booths and would have been camping there near the West Bushy Branch Tolls.....not too bad of a hike. I only work Wed 3pm-3am and Thurs 10pm-4am, so I'm super excited that I won't miss anything I wanted to see and have ALL weekend free.
