After hearing of a certain members dilemma I have asked around and not got satisfactory answers from several members who have expressed concern with Sproat and also the fact that he did not get a fair shake. I feel a lot of people are holding a grudge against him for comments he has made in the past. Let us remember this is the internet and people will say stuff but it is not real life and we are not doing the stuff. Holding a grudge over something that has happened online is childish on the order of kids getting mad over an XBOX game. Sproat has fiery opinions hell we all do but to sweep him under the rug is a whole other matter this not V For Vendetta where we black bag people and disappear them. You all can ban me if you want I will still show up at Brunch and hang out with my friends and I will have Sproat in tow with me. And you would be surprised who else is in on this I have been talking privately with several long time members about this. Last year when the last Sproat incident happened he showed up at Brunch and immediately asked who some members were and went around apologizing to various members as best as he could. We need to calm down and realize real life and this board are seperate. We go to Bonnaroo for freedom right including freedom to run our mouths. All we have on here is the spoken word with each other sometimes it gets spicy and that is the attraction for a lot of us. All I can say is that I will not be silenced on this because it is a very trivial thing. And if people want me banned that is great you are still going to put up with me and I doubt my friends will dump me from Facebook or Twitter. And if I have to have an anit-brunch across from regular brunch so be it. Not to long ago the whole concept of Brunch was even in doubt but you know what some people listened to what we had to say. I say we practice what we preach and have a little bit of openess over the whole issue. I am not naming any names but there are several people suppoting Sproat and are concerned about what happened. I am just going to be the first to take a bullet on the issue you cannot kill an idea. I love this board but seriously I bet it is less then a dozen people that have issues with this issue and I bet a lot of them are misinformed and do not have the correct information.

Ok I will and anyone else that has anything to say can PM me but let us remember we had a problem like this last year we need a clear cut policy in the future about banning people for things other then talking shit on a message board nobody was threatened or hurt. And especially when the "crime" took place in a webcam chat not affiliated with the board in ANY WAY! And the policy should be voted on by EVERYBODY because everyone has different levels of hurt we need to run a baseline or whatever to get clearly established rules. This is not a good way to manage things that generally run well around here.

And the policy should be voted on by EVERYBODY because everyone has different levels of hurt we need to run a baseline or whatever to get clearly established rules. This is not a good way to manage things that generally run well around here.
I would like to point out that CKS explicitly stated in the previous thread on this subject that the incident in the chat room was not the sole basis behind the ban.

No not really it is that simple just saying something is one thing there wa a post not to long ago where Juggs urged someone to kill themselves as has been presented to me by yet another member who does not see eye to eye with this whole fiasco but is wishing to remain anonymous. Why not ban him? And for the record this is ridiculous everyone being petty over internet messages when there is a sliding scale on justice around here it is just going to cause animosity amongst the members. When people start holding people accountable for stuff that goes on outside the board well we are in some weird territory for sure.

I added a poll to be more democratic about the whole process so far Sproat is winning by 100% hate to go against my friends on this but I am hopefully we can be friends after the whole thing gets settled and be a better board for the whole ordeal.

There is an I dont give a fuck button app for this poll lol and you are my boy regardless of how this whole thing goes! I really have better things to do with my time then this but sometimes you feel you need to speak up for someone if you see them getting a raw deal and that is what I am doing. This whole thing has gotten out of proportion with the crimes. I am convinced that the real winner in the poll will be the I don't give a fuck crowd because nobody really cares about this but punishing someone because they run their mouth? Well if one day it is one the next day two etc and then we have a concentration camp. And you know what if we did not have arguments etc on here this would be a boring ass board.

I feel like we should all respect the mod's decision and leave things be. I get that you have a different perception of Sproat, Lono and I respect that. But obviously others see things differently and we should respect that too. I wish we could all just get along and all that jazz, but it's quite unrealistic. I think the mods are fair and did what was best for this community as a whole.

By the way when was Sproat banned before do we have a record of this? I just spoke with him on the phone and he states emphaticly he was never banned before I think you have him confused with Emoney and Flanzo from last year if I am remembering things corectly.

Some people get banned for bad behavior, some do not. Simple as that. While I admire the fact that you are supporting Sproat Lono, I truly think you are fighting a losing battle. Some people up here get a FREE pass on horrible behavior (if you need examples, TRUST ME I have them)...Sproat obviously did not. Again, it is the mods choice and I am sure it was not made overnight. I just wish the rules of horrible, unacceptable behavior applied to EVERYONE the same.
