Is anybody going this year? Just made the decision to go as its less than a 3 hour drive. Has anybody been before? From what i gather its noon to like 10 with 3 stages.
I know I'm kinda late on this, but I've been to Loufest the last two years (along with Bonnaroo) and it does clear up a lot of conflicts for me. It's also great for how cheap it is and the crowd has been small every year where I could walk up to a show on one of the smaller stages half an hour before a show and get a front row spot. Will undoubtedly go again this year unless the new management screws something up.
I agree fully. I went this year because it was a cheap way to see Outkast and was able to see bands I missed out on at roo. I'll probably be back again this year as well. It's cheap two day fest with relatively cheap hotels close by.
i plan on going this year, came so close last year and even almost volunteered bcuz how can you beat that lineup especially with outkast for just 100$?! A long as they put out a decent one this year im there
If anyone is considering this one, I suggest you go for it. It's down the road from me, so it's a no brainer, but it's a really good little fest. STL public transportation is pretty good and will bring you right to the gate. Hope to get a lineup soon.
Secret Sale for $50 could happen any time now (must be on the e-list to get a notification). They'll also have an "early bird" sale for $75 on Wednesday or Thursday. Once the lineup drops it'll be the $95. Nice thing about Loufest is all fees are included in the listed price.
I have family out by Lindbergh High School that I can stay with...is the commute in and out easy? Would you recommend driving all the way in and parking or doing a park and ride type of thing? Although I'm there a lot, I have rarely been downtown.

The commute in is fine. Straight highway for the most part since the festival is in Forest Park (right off of Kingshighway by the 40/64 exit). But finding parking around the park and down in CWE will be a pain and you'll have to walk a ways to get into the festival, so taking the Metrolink (which has a stop in the park) would prob be the safer bet. Just be prepared because it'll get crowded.

Picked up passes to this today. I've never been to Loufest, but as a St. Louis quasi-native, I'm hoping to give it a whirl this year. It's not a tough travel option for me!

someone already mentioned it here, but Hozier is confirmed. another one i heard was Umphrey's McGee. there are two other names that i've been told are "strong possibilities" that are so exciting i'm not going to risk jinxing it by writing them here. if they don't end up on the lineup i don't think i could deal with the disappointment / inforoo shaming.

3 days!!
You have my interest.
Are either of them in the top 10 at Lolla, Osheaga, or Roo?
Is one of them Blur?
I'm only asking that second question half jokingly.
