Just noticed that as of right now SCI is scheduled to do back to back sets on Thursday. Think they keep it as is or announce a small lineup add. to throw in between?

That's what a few people are talking about on the Lockn board, kind of unusual how they set that up. It would made sense to sandwich UM in between the two SC sets, but my guess is UM is leaving town right after there show. I'm not sure why because they have a big opening in there tour schedule after Lockn, but they was originally planned for Friday and they had to be moved back to Thursday.
As for another add, I wouldn't bet on it. Officially 3 weeks away...and it would have to be something worth while to play the act before the closer of a night.
I will be there to experience this wonderful festival for the first time!!! Very excited to see what musical wonderment awaits. Any inforoo meetups planned?
Apparently I'm still unsure which fest I will attend this weekend if not both lol. What a clusterfuck our organization became for this.
Does anyone know if they posted a schedule with set times?
I didn't see a BB on the Locken site
They won't post a set time schedule until prob some time late next week. Possibly the Monday before the fest. With all the bands playing on one stage back to back nobody seems to get in a fuss about it. Somebody on the Lockn board made a mock schedule.

Is anyone else as worried as I am that Bill Kreutzmann's Locknstep Allstars is gonna be a dubstep show?
Copied and pasted from site:
Bill Kreutzmann, Aron Magner, Oteil Burbridge, Steve Kimock, with special guests Taj Mahal, Papa Mali, Keller Williams, Col. Bruce Hampton, EOTO and Tom Hamilton (of American Babies)!
I know most that go to Lockn are against anything electronic, but I'm excited for EOTO. Should be a fun and a change of pace.
4 sets of SCI. Hope they please the crowd.
EOTO is the only electronic type of music that I find acceptable I remember the first time I saw them they covered Skynyrds "working for the MCA" it was sick. As far as SCI they always please.

Wooks love shitty electronic music. See, e.g., Camp Bisco. Part of the reason why the jamband scene isn't as bustling as it was ten years ago is because so many people have migrated to EDM. They just follow the molly, basically.

Once again Rory pull the tampon out your butt Wooks like instruments you know those things that take years of practice and loads of talent to master. What Jam band shows you been to lately? I think the crowd is as "bustling" as ever. EDM is a phase come talk to me when one of your tweenwave DJ's have been on tour for 25+ years.
Excited about Lockn but last count was 4 SCI sets? I've seen them a couple of times. I know one set is the Kool and the Gang tribute. What are the odds the other sets are thematic or album play throughs?

Yeah, the jam scene really isn't as big as it used to be. There's a reason why fests like Bonnaroo which were originally jam-centric had to move away from it, and it's the reason why Lockn will probably do the same, provided that yet another year of low ticket sales doesn't sink the fest entirely.
Wooks love shitty EDM and jamtronica, this is a fact. That's why Camp Bisco was such a success, why acts like Bassnectar and Pretty Lights started popping up at shit like Mountain Jam and moe.down and all the other mid-sized jammy fests. That's why Shpongle was opening up for Bisco at their NYE shows back in the mid-2000s.
And while "EDM" as we presently know it might be a phase (i.e. big room DJs cranking out top-40 hits, headlining festivals, etc.), the concept of electronic music certainly isn't, seeing as how it's been growing and developing since the late 1970s and early 1980s. If anything, the concept of "jambands," which really didn't take off until the mid-90s when Phish's ascendency provided a boom in the demand for such things, is much newer and less established.

I would peg the jamband "scene" as starting when the whole Grateful Dead scene went out of control in the late 80s. Then again, Ibiza was already a thing in the late 80s so I still think it's a fairly valid point.
maybe the term "jamband" took off in the 90s, but the concept of "jambands" has definitely been around at least 30 years longer than that. I can somewhat understand arguing that EDM has built a stronger following (although, I strongly disagree), but I don't understand how you can argue that EDM was established before jambands

Aside from the Grateful Dead (and perhaps the Allman Brothers) please let me know what "jambands" were operating and were touring the national circuit before, say, 1993. I don't know that you could even find a reference to a "jamband" or "jam band" prior to the 90s. My point was that far from being some long-established subgenre, the concept of a jamband didn't really take off until the mid-90s, when dozens of these groups got popular.
