Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
A major improvement would be to not invite anybody like R. Kelly, Wu Tang, NAS, Boyz Noise. Those artists DESTROYED the Bonnaroo experience this year. Hordes of "bros" and dumb pieces of shiz attended the festival this year. What normally feels like a fun, good energy community was ruined. Last year the bathrooms were "clean", people were respectful, the fence was spray painted artistically, and there was pretty much NO trash on the ground.
This year the fence was covered in ghetto looking graffiti, people were very rude, and the type of people those artists brought really ruined the whole vibe/experience.
Trying to sit there and listen to Billy Idol (who was stuck in the smallest stage) tons and tons of bros walked by on their way to R Kelly and just kept dropping trash where I was sitting. Seriously every couple people who walked by would just drop a cup, bottle, or something on the ground. The people that listen to these shiz artists had NO respect for other people or the festival. They really trashed the place.
AGREED with the person who said "more craft beers." Also the water station at the What Stage needs to be filtered more effectively. The sulfur water and the people drinking it smelled like rotten eggs.

Remove the screens from the Which and What stage, they detract from the real action.
Only beer should be Coors light in 32oz thin paper cups. The choices as they are are too complicated.
Turn down the damn Which stage during the day, it makes my ears hurt.
PLEASE decrease the size of the Comedy tent, I'm looking for a more intimate comedy experience.
Less art installations, they detract from the real action.
Get rid of one of the tents on Thursday, the crowds are too thin for all those independent bands, I like the feeling of a packed tent and I'm sure the bands do as well.
Food: hamburgers and hot dogs, its all we need. With the space saved we can have more coors light stations.

GET RID OF TENT ONLY! Definitely not fair.
As someone who enjoys craft beer, I disagree with the coors light only suggestion. Sorry, if I want water with a 3% alcohol added, I'll just add vodka to my camelback.
The sound at which isn't to loud, it's misdirected. You can't hear crap at the stage. Hell, llast year I heard the xx better at my tent then at the stage. I agree with axing the screen on which.
I like the tents on Thursday. Saw 21 pilots last year and they were awesome on Thurs.

I'm preeeetty sure those are all troll suggestions, since people are always making the opposite complaints. If there's anyone out there who likes Coors that much, I weep for their tastebuds.

Hahahaha. This serious response is incredible!
Didn't I see a Post of the Day thread somewhere???

If the poster I was referring to was being sarcastic, my apologies.
I heard several people last year suggest that the beer tent be axed and offer only bud, miller, and coors as a beer option. I take my beer serious, as I don't drink the cheap crap anymore. I assumed they were being serious.
The ground underneath the tents needs to be fixed. It’s incredibly uneven, and leveling it out, or ramping it would be such easy and cheap fixes. It should have been done years ago.

So, there's a problem with the local animal shelter in Coffee County (this includes Manchester and the Farm). It's all over the local news in Nashville with some folks pledging not to spend $$ in Manchester till it's fixed. Perhaps Bonnaroo could adopt this as a cause, similar to various other local fundraising they've done.

Ramping it to a tilt from back to the front since seems possible; but don't forget that it's still sand. Breeze, enviromental conditions and people walking through will always mess with it. I'm sure since it's more of a valley than a hill on the farm, water pools throughout the year and is unpredictable when it comes to the grounds in general.

There was actually no sand this year. It was a huge improvement for sightlines.

Still was bumpy as all hell as if it compacted with water underneath it

It may require intensive work two weeks out from the festival, but it could be done.

Is there a sarcasm button I missed?
Yeah i was joking. it can be difficult to distinguish sarcasm around here, I know I have a hard time with it, and more often than not my own sarcasm gets misunderstood.
i don't even drink beer, but I still like the idea of tons of beer drinking options for everyone else.
I never noticed the sound problems at which... I feel like I'm missing something or not missing something I dunno
From my experience, it's all about where you are in location to the stage. Some spots up close the sound is really bad to a point where I'd switch to the other side of the stage and get perfect sound. Very peculiar thing. Turned me off from Which this year.

Not much bothers me more than animal abuse. This is something that the collective power of Bonnaroo, Inforoo, AC, whoever could easily help with. Really upsets me man.
That ditch represents the struggle of humanity, brah.
Its like.....the people over there,...wanna be over here. BUT I wanna be over there man! Crazy man just crazy parallel universe stuff going on over there. Once I actually saw myself on the other side staring at me covered in "mud" (has that stuff been tested and confirmed as mud by chance?)
They have to have points in which they can set a barriers between Which and What. There are basically only two paths between, the upper and lower(ditch). Crowd control is important for restricting flow between What and Centeroo. This is seen for the most part on Thursdays and Sundays (I worked in Centeroo the last two years). Safety concerns or the repair of grounds during 'down time' will ensure that this will be the the future of Roo unless they completely resigned the place. I would agree the lower "ditch" pass sucks hard and could be improved upon (one reason I wear real shoes or hiking boots) but it will always be a narrow pass that could be closed if needed. I do my best to always avoid the ditch unless it is a low traffic time. It may be a longer walk to go around but I would be willing to argue that taking the longer path will yield better viewing and less congestion.
When it comes to the trash situation... Roo has some amazing volunteers to clean up but they cannot do everything, especially in large crowds, it comes down to all of us. I always have a few extra trash bags in my backpack and clean up on my way out of a show when possible...it is amazing how many people will help you clean when they see you doing it (especially if you have a spare bag to offer). Some would say the excess trash dropping is due to the "bros" or whatever. But trash is a nature of the beast and it will happen. Don't get me wrong, throwing trash on the ground when you could easily dispose of it is not cool (and I have witnessed certain 'groups' of people be less considerate). Roo made a big improvement when it started the the Compost/Recycle/Trash bins that were monitored by Clean Vibes...I saw this technique first applied at Rothbury 08 and it is very effective. If you have a few minutes to pick up trash do it...others will eagerly join, in my experience.
Also, try and get the food vendor- Crif Dogs- to come back. I was craving some BLT and Tsunami Dogs this year and was thoroughly disappointed when I wandered around and never saw them anywhere. Damn those BLT dogs were so good.

The port-a-potties at TomorrowWorld blew my mind...which I know is an odd thing to say but 'Roo ones can be freaking awful. They all had lights and places to wash your hands in the area; and some of them even flushed and had a mini sink.

Lights and better wash stations indeed! I know the flushing portos with little sinks are more expensive but even investing in those for the main venue areas and Access toilets could make a big difference. The cleaner the better.
A tip for all of you though: Mix tea tree oil into your hand sanitizer. It kills viruses and bacteria and keeps you smelling fresh. It also stimulates the immune system and works as an insect repelant. I also bring a tea tree oil soap with me.
