It was a great show at Yankee stadium. Only time I saw one of his solo shows. Then I thought he was good at the Levon Helm tribute when he played with My Morning Jacket.
Roger Waters would get me back to the farm The Wall at Roo is about the only thing that could come close to equaling the awesomeness that was Sir Paul this year.

How about a Zepp reunion?
Hold on, what about a Sam Roberts and Tragically Hip Superjam?

It was a great show, and it would kill at Bonnaroo. I think the logistics would be difficult though.

if he plays on friday night, they literally have 50 weeks to build that shit.
This would probably be the only thing that could keep me away from the farm next year. Here's hoping it doesn't happen.
Quite possibly the lamest thing people can say about Bonnaroo is if there's 1 headliner there they don't like, they wouldn't go. Are the other 100+ bands not enough for you?

I mean, I can't speak for him, but I think there's a difference between "I refuse to go because one of the headliners is going to ruin the vibe of the whole fest" and "I'm sure I'd still have a good time despite not liking the #1 headliner, but maybe this year would be a good opportunity to try something closer/cheaper/different."

Well if he is touring they will probably not have that long, and I just think the buildup and tear down would limit a lot of other acts on the What.
They build it during his performance, so it'd be about setting up the (much smaller) ends of the wall, and he's the last act on the What if he headlines, so I don't think this is a very good point.
Or, if they want to extend it way beyond the edges of the stage, they can do it on Thursday.
It really isn't that hard to pull off if they want to do it.

Not a thing (except funds perhaps) could keep me away from Roo. If AC says F it and goes with WSP - DMB - String Cheese I would still be at Roo and all its glory. There will always be somewhere my glowsticks will shine and experiences I cant find anywhere else.
The Wall (or Roger in general) on the farm will be spectacular. Dont think he will beat that Paul set because frankly I cant see anything beating that Paul set. He made it seem like he was just some chummy ol' chap at a bar telling cooky stories to everyone who would care to listen. Oh and then would procede to Rocking My Face Off!! It was weirdly personal. More personal then seeing a up and coming band at a small local venue that you know might make the radio one day. His huimbleness made him seem like an old friend.
I seen Roger twice (Dark Side & The Wall) and although he made an effort to connect to the audience everytime he spoke it was kinda grim and oh so political. But his stages are phenominal and paired with the music the show certainly will be a great follow up to Paul who I now wish will play live music for me every day of my life.

The 3 huge Imax projectors in the field plus the double stage is what makes it complicated. I am pretty sure I have read that he has several full setups because it takes a few days to build them up and tear them down.

Of course there is, but there was no indication of the latter. I'm sure Roger Waters isn't the only headliner status band that this person doesn't like, just the only one he would skip the whole thing for. I absolutely hate The Eagles, but I don't hate them enough to skip the whole damn thing.

He won't be touring with The Wall at that point, so there is nothing stopping them from incorporating the projection screens into their normal festival setup. If the stage size is a point that RW can't budge on, they can extend the stage when they initially build it. If it happens at Roo, RW will have to make concessions to make it work, but as someone pointed out they have 50 weeks or so to figure it out.
I don't think logistics will prevent this from happening, $ will.

Care to elaborate? Why would this keep you away? You could just skip his show.
Sorry for the delayed response, got held up at work for a moment.
Anyway, I'm not trying to spark a political debate on Inforoo, so in short, Waters is an anti-semite and I have a moral issue with supporting him in any way. I would never avoid Bonnaroo because I wasn't a fan of an artist (even a headliner) who was playing.
