If you scroll back, you will see I already had this discussion, insult-free.
You will also see that I agree with your take on the belief that Waters is anti-Semitic.
My point was that the idea that Waters is anti-Semitic is a tired argument since Waters has addressed the issue more than once and his response to the claims were fair.
Druid, I think I might have had one of those once upon a time, but then I discovered the Internet. It also helps to have a mom who makes jokes far more off-colour than anything I ever heard in seven years at an all boys' school.
Only skimmed through the thread. From a logistical standpoint. It would be really hard to coordinate all of the equipment to build the Wall. Considering the Bonnaroo stage is a huge slab of concrete, Waters has a video of all of the understage and backline specifics at his shows . There are also towers that are under the stage that rise during the show to add more bricks in the wall as it gets higher and higher. Rogers also has to go back and forth under the stage to get in front and behind the wall. The wall in a stadium also takes 5 days to build and three to take down. That would mean that all acts and headliners regardless of what day Waters would perform would have to perform under his lighting rig. That, though, would be possible because didn't the Beastie Boys and Springsteen perform under Phish's lights in 2009? At the begining of Waters' tour in 2010, he said that the production was too complex to play in stadiums, but they found the technology to play in stadiums last year. In a press conference in November of 2012, he said that it would be too complex to have the Wall in a festival setting with other acts and headliners, but technology could improve between now and then just like it did for the stadiums. For last years stadiums leg, The projecters were place in front of second base, or on the 50 yard line, but this year they found stronger projectors that they can place from the very back of the stadium causing no sight line blocks. What I think is that they may be able to eventually do the Wall at a festival, but I doubt it will be at Bonnaroo because of the fixed concrete stage. If Waters plays Bonnaroo, it will not be the wall. We have better chances of seeing a Zepp reuinion than seeing the Wall there. (I'm not ruling out a greatest hits show.)
This is the scope of the Behind The Scenes production. Too much for Bonnaroo to hold
Which won't happen, I actually just saw a show by a cover band that played Animals in its entirety, I will hold out hope for him to at least play SOME DSOTM, but I'll be happy no matter what he plays as long as he is there!!
"I'd enjoy seeing Roger Waters at Bonnaroo playing the DSOTM in its entirety." Sorry you left off the end of your sentence, i fixed for though, you're welcome.

I as well would prefer something like the Dark Side setlist as opposed to The Wall. I think it's more feasible of a setup, and it's been done in the past. So the work to create it, while more than replicating The Wall, is still less than one might think.
You'd still get tracks like Mother, Bring the Boys Back Home, and Comfortably Numb. Even with many of the highlights from The Wall, you'd get Dark Side, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Sheep, and Wish You Were Here.
I'm doubtful it would happen, because there's generally a few years between Waters' tours. That said, this would be incredibly high on my wish list for headliners.
I'd prefer DSOTM, but for selfish reasons: I've already seen Rog play The Wall, and while awesome, I'd like something different if I ever see him again.
