The 3 huge Imax projectors in the field plus the double stage is what makes it complicated. I am pretty sure I have read that he has several full setups because it takes a few days to build them up and tear them down.
He won't be touring with The Wall at that point, so there is nothing stopping them from incorporating the projection screens into their normal festival setup. If the stage size is a point that RW can't budge on, they can extend the stage when they initially build it. If it happens at Roo, RW will have to make concessions to make it work, but as someone pointed out they have 50 weeks or so to figure it out.
I don't think logistics will prevent this from happening, $ will.
That is an interesting thought I wonder if they could use the projectors for other acts. I didn't realize he was not touring though, there is no way they are going to have enough cash to get that whole crew together for a one-off.

That's what I mean by money being the thing to hold them back. They could put a concert on a flying bi-plane if they wanted, it's allll about the dollars.
Care to elaborate? Why would this keep you away? You could just skip his show.
Sorry for the delayed response, got held up at work for a moment.
Anyway, I'm not trying to spark a political debate on Inforoo, so in short, Waters is an anti-semite and I have a moral issue with supporting him in any way. I would never avoid Bonnaroo because I wasn't a fan of an artist (even a headliner) who was playing.
Ugh. He's not anti-Semitic. You can disagree with Israeli political policy and not be anti-Semitic.

I agree with your second statement, but Roger Waters is an anti-semite.

Nothing against Roger Waters playing, I've never seen him and I'm sure I would enjoy it, but I had hopes that 2014 would be the year they booked Prince, so in comparison...
I agree with your second statement, but Roger Waters is an anti-semite.
proof?
This is something that cannot be definitively proven or unproven, but what caused me to form my opinion was during a performance of "Goodbye Blue Sky" at the US leg of The Wall Live tour, a B52 bomber projected on to a backdrop is shown dropping symbols including the Star of David and a dollar sign.
I found this specific imagery offensive and believe it to be anit-semetic. Like I said I know this isn't definitive, but it's my opinion and I have chosen to not support Roger Waters because of this.

You literally lifted this sentence word-for-word from a news article that I found searching "roger waters anti-semite"

I did. I knew the incident that I was looking for, so I copied and pasted someone else's description of it, what's wrong with that?

Where to begin?
-It's lazy -It's intellectually dishonest -It makes it look an awful lot like you came to a conclusion, then googled for evidence to support it
That's fine if you call it lazy, but I knew exactly what incident caused me to form my opinion. I didn't just decide today that I felt Roger Waters was anti-semitic and got lucky on a goodle search that I was able to find some sort of evidence to back up that opinion.
It's kind of like how I won't listen to the Fugees or Lauryn Hill because she said that she'd rather her children starve than a white person buy her album.
Did she really say that? Holy wow. I didn't know any of the specifics and yes, I live under a rock.
Edit: I'm an idiot. Ahaha. Carry on. Juggs is trying to make a point that people often over exaggerate things or believe everything they hear and what do I do?

I feel like this belongs in the "State your opinion as fact" Thread.
"The visuals that accompany the song show waves of B52 bombers dropping various symbols from bomb bays on a war ravaged landscape. The symbols are: in no particular order, a Crucifix, a Hammer and Sickle, a Star of David, A Crescent and Star, a Mercedes sign , a Dollar sign, and a Shell Oil sign.
Mr Foxman's concern was that potentially the juxtoposition of a Star of David and a Dollar sign might incite hatred of Jews. Contrary to Mr Foxman's assertion, there are no hidden meanings in the order or juxtaposition of these symbols.
The point I am trying to make in the song is that the bombardment we are all subject to by conflicting religious, political, and economic ideologies only encourages us to turn against one another, and I mourn the concommitant loss of life."
The Wall tour ended a year ago. The Stage is too small. They would have to erect more scaffolding to hold all of the projectors, thus blocking more views. Waters doing the Wall show at 'Roo is very unlikely.
Calling Roger Waters an anti-semite on such flimsy evidence is stupid.

The Wall tour is happening all the way through September 2013 overseas. But yeah. I think He'll finish a new album and the next tour will be completely different production. Will it be ready in time for Roo? who knows...
So there was just the Star of David and Dollar signs huh? When I saw The Wall in Nashville last summer I could of sworn there were other symbols being dropped as well. Hhhmm, musta been my old man eyes messin with me, huh?
If Waters did The Wall at roo, I could only see him performing Friday night. That would give them an infinite amount of time to set up the stage/theatrics. You only have the earlier Friday shows to deal with and after he is done, you've got all night to tear it down. I have read somewhere that when the wall is in full on tour mode they use three separate set ups. On being erected at the next show, one being used that night, and one traveling to the show after next. I have also read that he has two different sizes of set up, one more suited to arena type shows and more suited for stadium shows. One larger than the other. One of those would certainly fit the What stage.
Although I have already seen The Wall last summer (greatest concert of my life BTW!) I would absolutely LOVE to see it at roo!

Just imagine having a conversation with Roger Waters about this.
Keep going...
Have you gotten to the part where you look like a fool yet?
Having seen both Wall and Dark Side, DSOTM is the better show. You get a Wall/Animals/solo set, DSOTM, and then Comfortably Numb/Brick in the Wall. Wall is very visually impressive show, but not sure 80,000 people could all get a good enough view to enjoy it. I'm fortunate to have seen Waters twice. If Roo could ever get Gilmour, I'd cream my pants.

There were also other religious symbols as well as corporation logos. I believe the problem was that they dropped the star of david first directly followed by the money symbol. While I can see ones individual interpritation can be damning, I personally never made that connection when I saw it. I took it as the force of power pushing its religion through war, and how corporations as well wield their power and money to impose values upon the people of the world. I seen it more as a metaphor connecting the past World Wars to the Corporate greed/power trips that are being "bombed" on us (the people) today.
