Went the first two years, skipped last year because my friends wanted to do Firefly instead (kinda glad considering the weather). I'll be there if the lineup is good enough.

I wasn't impressed with this past years line up. It was good but most of the stuff that was playing there I could see elsewhere without having to drive through Manhattan haha. 2012's lineup was awesome. If the line up is good I'll consider going this year, although firefly is so damn close to home it's hard to say no..
It looks like the website just says a general "June 2014". If it's the same weekend, I'm out again because I already bought my ticket for Mountain Jam. Obviously the second weekend is Roo. If it's later in the month, it's a possibility (Obviously also lineup and other variable dependent still).
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
The first year I remember it was the weekend after roo and the following year it was two weekends after roo.. Really hoping it returns to that pattern. I'll probably have to decide between this and firefly again.

AF tour is owned by live nation and they are only performing at Coachella this year. Daft Punk are not a possibility one of the two dudes doesn't want to tour.

Whenever someone says they have confirmations and doesn't share I get grumpy and not believe them. Spit those names out brother!

I'm sure the next time you and the Homem-Christo family are taking a ski vacation in the Tarentaise Valley, you and Paul and Guy will share a hearty guffaw over the whole scenario. "Can you believe these plebes thought they might actually have inside information on when the mighty Daft Punk will tour?" you'll say. "As if these foolish Americans would ever have such information! We reserve these details only for our French Brothers!" Guy will respond. Paul will return from the bar with some apres-ski cocktails, and the three of you will laugh knowingly, ensconsed in thick lambswool sweaters and a deep sense of self-superiority, as you gaze out over the majestic Saint-Bon from your view in a suite at Courchevel.
Nope, Daft Punk will not be performing at roo in 2014, they won't even tour in '14. They don't operate like usual bands, my french brothers will tour if they want to and if they're ready. They're far from greedy either so no amount of money can convince them. Plus, I talked to Play Paul, guy's brother, and he says as far as he knows there are no tour plans forming right now
LN Which: deadmau5 is touring 2014, this much is known, he's debuted a new show at Hard DOTD La last month, so very strong chance of seeing him at Roo. Justice is my favorite group of ALL TIME, I would do everything to see them on the farm. But I know my parisian brothers, and they ONLY tour after their new albums drop, and last week they said that it wouldn't be before early 2015.

Haha sorry man, i don't think I was even supposed to share the little I did.. I even thought about deleting some of it, then iamthehorn quoted the post so even deleting wouldn't have done me any good =\
The undercard I know of isn't that earth shattering though, it's bands that I'm pretty positive will show up on a bunch of lineups this year.
I really don't buy that Daft Punk isn't going to tour. I'm not convinced that their past few publicity stunts are just to sell records.
I'm sure once he's done wiping the brie from Paul de Homem-Christo's tender, supple mouth, our resident self-proclaimed FRANCE EXPERT will come in to chime in and tell you why you're wrong.
Until then, just know that Daft Punk doesn't really tour like other acts. As Horn mentioned, they didn't tour Discovery at all, and for Human After All they waited two years before really mounting a full tour. I don't think anyone is saying they won't ever tour again ever, just that expecting them to tour because they had an album out this year isn't a given. I actually wouldn't be surprised to see them pop up for some random Euro-fest this year, then plot out a tour for next year. [cue the French guy]

I will say that he told me they are aiming for 6 after parties a night this year.
Well, since the transportation from Randall's Island is so flawless I see no issue with adding more after parties for people to miss waiting on lines for shuttle buses and shuttle boats.

I have no idea. I do know that themusic industry was markedly different, and that for the most part bands didn't need to come up with cool ways to hype you up to buy their album. A record came out and you bought it, that's it. You couldn't illegally download it through torrents or whatever, or stream it on Spotify, etc. So I don't think you can really compare the release strategies of two albums 16 years apart.
I do think that Daft Punk's touring history suggests that they won't necessarily tour off this, or won't tour immediately. Discovery came out in 2001 and didn't get a tour. Human After All came out in 2005, got a smattering of festival dates in 2006 (Coachella and some Euro dates), then the tour in 2007. I honestly do think Daft Punk tours, I just don't think it's necessarily this soon.
I wasn't trying to make an argument that they'd be playing Governers ball, I just think they'll tour behind RAM. With appearing on the US VMAs and the EMAs, I think it's pretty obvious that they're trying to appeal to a younger demographic. What for? It could be for when they announce a tour, I'd assume they'd be playing arenas, they'd want those seats filled. Or they could be attempting to sell their records with a younger artists. In regards to the dude that called me out on the whole "brother" thing, It's just my way of being friendly, but again, friendliness is spit upon on internet forums.
I guess now we just have to wait for the Gov Ball dates and pray nothing too weird happens
