Just noticed this at the bottom of the email for the daily lineup release. These guys definitely have a great sense of humor.
I have to admit, this festival looks somewhat underwhelming broken up by day. And I was beyond excited when the lineup came out. May look to sell my passes, though maybe I'll wait until the Bonnaroo lineup comes out and use this as a conflict eliminator.
Seriously though they stacked Saturday and left the other two days wanting.
I kind of agree. For some reason it seems much less "crazy" and "exciting" when broken up. I was kind of happy because some acts I'm not dying to see where put on Friday and I know I'll be able to get in to at least catch Phoenix and Outkast. I'll definitely be using this fest as a Roo conflict eliminator though...too many acts I know I'll have conflicts for.

Didn't they just put single day passes on sale? Or are you trying to split your 3-day pass? I don't know how Governor's Ball works so wasn't sure if it was a wristband kind of thing or if tix are split up.

I havent gone since 2012. But if they havent changed things: Only VIP people get wristbands, everyone else just gets E-tickets. I was actually just looking at my E-ticket and noticed that they just sent one ticket thats good for all 3 days, instead of one ticket per day.. That makes selling this off kinda difficult.. Hmm.

You sure he went passed 11? Im just surprised because the year before when Kid Cudi headlined at 11:01 they cut his sound off in the middle of a song.
Yea, he went until about 11:20. Wasn't the festival on Governor's Island rather than Randall's the year before? Maybe that made a difference.
It was on Randall's the year before too. But Kanye is a boss, so he probably told the fest organizers a head of time that he'd pay whatever the fine is for going over.

Saturday is probably the most stacked day, but Outkast being friday makes it the best if its your only chance to see them this summer. Plus Damon, Phoenix, Janelle, Julian, Run the Jewels... Sounds like a great day to me.

Y'all are nuts, Friday is still great. Outkast, Phoenix, TV on the Radio, Janelle Monae, Jenny Lewis, Julian, Kurt Vile, Run the Jewels, Damon... More than enough to fill one day. Sunday will be fun to just fuck around and end the day with Interpol. If I can get Alunageorge and James Blake back to back that will be enough for me.
I'd actually argue that Saturday has a weaker undercard than Friday which is perfect for me. As long as I get Spoon>The Strokes>Jack White on the main.

This is the start of my summer vacation, so i think i'm stoked for all three days. Although sunday is kinda weak. But i can eliminate Roo conflicts and i'd say there are about 10 acts i want to see a day. I'm pumped

I'm just passing on second-hand info, to be clear. I didn't actually watch it, so maybe you should find a video of it and see for yourself. That's what I'd do.

Yeah that's what I was going to do, have you ever seen The strokes or Interpol live? If you have what did you think?
I've seen the Strokes, didn't think it was that good, but I was also way the fuck out in sound bleed alley at Roo. You like them, just get close and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

The Strokes at Lolla 2010 were phenomenal. Totally on it, great setlist, tons of energy both from them and the crowd. The Strokes at Roo were pretty good, but not a patch on the previous year. I don't think they'd disappoint a hometown crowd especially since they took up the offer to play that was on the table for 2012 Gov Ball (IIRC from their AMA).
