Thought they said in the Reddit chat that Gball had a contract with Outkast giving them their exclusive NYC performance rights for the year or something.. They just got announced for Mad Decent Block Party in Brooklyn a month and a half later.. Weird.

The only date of that that has Outkast listed is Denver.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
So noticing on all the non-Coachella lineup schedules where Outkast is booked they go unopposed on the other stages (Counterpoint and Hangout so far). I think it's safe to assume the same for Gov Ball?

doubt it, only because of their strict curfew. I wouldn't be surprised if TV on the Radio plays against Outkast, just based on the lineup layout. I kinda hope they aren't unopposed, otherwise their crowd is gonna be a giant cluster fuck. Last year it was Kanye vs. Avett Brothers, we got to Kanye's stage a half hour before he was set to hit the stage and it was still impossible to get a good spot.
I think I read on that reddit AMA that the main stage will be Phoenix as a sub then Outkast. Im just gonna camp myself out at the main stage for a good part of the night.

I got a question for people from the area: So I'm going Friday and Saturday and heading up from South Jersey. I'm going Friday with my brother and Saturday with the GF so I need to get back home Friday night instead of staying in NYC since I need to pick her up Saturday morning. I know NJ Transit will stop running Friday night before I make it back to Penn Station from Randall's Island so I was wondering if there is a good parking lot near the Ferry that I can park at. Anyone out there know what my best option would be here?

Just an FYI - You should easily be able to make the last train back to South Jersey (assuming Hamilton/Trenton area) Governor's Ball shuts down at 11 pm. The last train on the North East Corridor line leaves at 1:22 AM. If you're talking south down the shore like Bayhead, that's 1AM.
Even if you don't hustle out of there, that still gives you 2+ hours to get back to Penn Station. I plan on making the train back home every night with a ferry pass as well, but should the ferry have the overcrowding issues of last year, I can always hoof it to the road and taxi it should time get short.

I'm gonna try for Earlwolf tickets but if that fails me I'll settle for Washed Out. That Earlwolf crowd is gonna be crazy! I'm sure a lot of you will love that Damon Albarn show on Sunday.

I'd love to do after shows but I think at this point I have to save money and energy. I've got Governor's Ball and then I leave for Roo that WEdnesday and then the weekend after Roo I have a bachelor's party in Texas.....yea. I'm sure Damon Albarn and Earlwolf shows will be awesome but I must try to limit myself. Bills and festivals catching up to me.

I hear you, i want to do Albarn and Classixx, and i entered to try and win Free tickets. Still up in the air on whether i want actually purchase after show tickets. It does say more shows to be announced at the bottom, so i wonder who else they are trying to get to play.

Good call on seeing that. I'm still banking on a Disclosure Afterparty. Probably at Webster Hall.
