Do they usually also offer the records for regular sale from Third Man online shop?
I would love the 3xLP, and maybe even the DVD, but not sure I wanna sign up for this Vault thing.
Maybe I could sign up, and get this package, then unsubscribe, but do I wanna pay $70 for the record (all I really want)?
They usually don't offer the records for regular sale. That's the whole point of the Vault. It's for hardcore fans or collectors. I do know that people will sometimes put an item from the vault up on Ebay if they don't want one of them (like if they only want the DVD) but I'm not sure you'll get lucky with this release.
I imagine it wouldn't be for sale in the TMR store but it's possible that they release a bare bones "black-only, without fancy packaging" version. There was some annoyed Vault members when they found out the vault would be a version of the Jack White solo album (which was also being released on its own, in a different version).

Thanks for all that info!
Definitely signing up.
You can sign up for one and then cancel, just remember to cancel as they will auto charge your card and you don't get a warning.
The audio from this will surely be ripped at some point or another, right?
It's possible but I know a lot of the people who take The Vault seriously frown on that because it takes away the "special" factor. Someone will probably do it but I can't imagine it being much better than the rip that was going around a while ago. We'll see.
If I subscribe just for one quarter to get this, will there be any more releases before the 3 months are up?
Nah, this is it. They have four "packages" a year. Every 3 months it's another $60 to get that upcoming package. The perks of being a member (besides the physical goods) aren't anything super special. The positives are pre-sales and exclusive interviews/chats with TMR people but I never end up using any of those. It's basically just a $60 exclusive merch package every 3 months.

Yea I was figuring that, esp given Jack's relative disdain for technology, but I'm hoping it does just because the levels aren't great on the audio mix I've got, and I don't have a record player.

Even then, just cancel in the last week of every three month window.
Though it's worth noting that there are occasionally sales for Vault Members only
I've always looked at the Vault packages and said "hmm. Nice, but not gonna bite." But bought this after little deliberation. Frankly, I've never been to a show where a recording became commercially available, so I'm stoked to own one.

Jack is excited to announce his first two tour dates of 2015, a pair of special arena shows at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on January 28th and New York City’s Madison Square Garden on January 30th. A limited number of pre-sale tickets will be available to Vault members on Tuesday, October 7th at 10am local time. Tickets go on sale to the public at 12pm local time on Friday, October 10th. Visit jackwhiteiii.com/tour-dates/ for tickets and more information.
MSG you say? Now if only I could afford these tickets right now. Damn.

If I could afford it (looks like $80 are the expensive tickets, after fees) I would likely be able to snag a general admission ticket with the pre-sale but I'm broke for the next two weeks. I really would love to have seen this but I'm not sure it'll work out. May have to settle for Stubhub tickets later on. I doubt the show sells out but I bet the general admission/standing room sells out.

Thanks to some help from Jaz I will be seeing Jack White at Madison Square Garden. General Admission floor. We should have an amazing time (as long as Jack doesn't yell at us and leave early).

So vault members can purchase today? Ticketmaster for the bridgestone show has another pre-sale for the 9th? Do you have any clue what that pre-sale would be for?
Been living in NYC for the past year and a half and haven't been to a arena show yet, but I've purchased my ticket and I'll be attempting to be near the very front of that GA section

If I sign up for vault today, I won't get charged/shipped the previous vault package, will I? I am hoping that that vault period has passed, as I am only interested in the upcoming package.

Sad news.
It is with great sadness that we tell the world of the passing of the incredible musician Isaiah "Ikey" Owens. He will be missed and loved forever by his family, friends, bandmates and fans. Ikey Owens was an astounding keyboard player in Jack White's backing band. He also played with Mars Volta, Free Moral Agents, and many other projects. Out of respect for Ikey, the remaining shows of the Jack White Tour in Mexico have been cancelled. We will all miss you Ikey. You were and are an incredible artist.
He was awesome. I want to say that he came out and played a song for one of the Deer Tick aftershows at Newport this year but I can't remember for sure. Sad news. He was a part of one of my favorite sets I've seen - at Roo or anywhere else.

Wow, he was so young too. Very sad.
Always loved watching him play when he was in TMV. He'd be wailing away on his keyboard, eyes closed and mouth wide open. Was pleasantly surprised when I learned he was in Jack White's new live band.
He always looked like he was loving every minute of playing when I saw him.
