What are the children's policies forthis fest? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Are they free under a certain age? My brother lives in Philly so hopefully he'll take the kids for the day while we go to the fest but just curious.

The fest really is a disaster area. Bunch of kids unprepared to do a bunch of drugs and alcohol, and then expect the water station to be automatically fill their hydration needs and decide they dont need to carry a water container in. The place gets trashed along with the people, people are rude, and there is no real coordination/walkways from stage to stage or to sit out of the way and relax for that matter. I joke that I dont understand how people bring kids to Roo, but compared to this festival I think id let an 8 year old go to Roo alone rather then take my young kids with me to Made.
"As lineup details are finalized over the new couple weeks, Budweiser's Perkins says that each festival will be distinct and unique to its respective city. Los Angeles, for example, is a city whose population is 40-45% Hispanic. "That’s not the case in Philadelphia," he told Billboard. "You're going to see that manifest itself in food options, certain artists, the way that we talk about the festival, the way that we advertise the festival. It has to be meaningful to the city otherwise we wouldn’t do it."
Wonder if the Roots will finally be playing MIA Philly this year? Timing would make sense seeing as And Then You Shoot Your Cousin is coming out in May.
It'd be nice to see them on the bill but I'd guess against it because of the picnic & the 4th of july parkway jam
KOL is one of the least favorite headlining type bands that I could imagine (other than Coldplay). I skipped their set at Hangout last year and went to the local bar/music joint. I'd be disappointed but at least I haven't seen them I guess...
Hopefully the undercard is really solid. The positive side of shitty headliners is getting to Suburban Station early while largely avoiding the mass of drunken high school fools
I saw KoL before Radiohead at APW in 2008...worst hour + of a concert I've ever had to sit through before, which is really saying something.
Eminem and KoL would sell here big time. I love Em for his first 3 albums but i highly doubt he plays much of that and i was all the way in the back for KOL at hangout and spent 2 hours pounding beers and spearing my friends bcuz they were so bad. that said i didnt care for the headliners last year and loved the rest of the card but did watch most of Beyonce and enjoyed it.
it is pretty bad that ACL is in mid October and already released their lineup and MIA wont even give us a damn date
I'm cool with Eminem. I haven't seen him since he was on Warped Tour before he got big long, long ago. I'm sure an Eminem/KOL bill will sell. I'm very interested in the undercard as well. I bet there will be a few gems. Here's to hoping for a lineup soon.
and Kanye is palying Outside LAnds 8/8 weekend so no MIA LA for him and he goes to Austrllia to tour 9/5 but with nothing inbetween he seems pretty likely too.

I'm hoping for KOL to be on the 31st. I'm seeing the Arcade Fire up in Montreal the night before and we're going to drive down the next morning. Anyone have any timelines for an announcement? Their website just directs you to TM
The lineup was announce 4/10 last year...I really hope this gets released soon! I'm crossing my fingers that MIA might help clear up some Roo conflicts for me.

That's exactly what i'm hoping for. The schedule that was released through the 'Roo app broke my heart.

This is absolutely 100% accurate...there was no place to just sit and chill to watch an act. Either they oversold the event last year or it was just bad planning. We were ankle deep in garbage in some areas when we were walking around, it was pretty disgusting. The crowd on Saturday was the definition of "ratchet", I'm talking people who have never been to a fest before and were just generally terrible human beings.
