how is this fest? thinking about setting up the payment plan the line up has me sold just curious on what the atmosphere of the fest is like?
i would recommend fff to most people. it is on the smaller side of festivals, which is good and the crowd is mostly younger.
i've gone 3 times and in the 2nd year i went they moved it to a larger park in austin. the biggest downside of that is, during the week it is a dog park. which means there really isn't much grass. and if it gets windy and dusty, you are essentially eating dog poo.
Well, my cousin and I had a discussion about FFF today that ended with us pricing out flights and shit.... I need talking out of this one. Seriously, I can't do ACL then a month later go back out for FFF.

Really fucking excited to see the NITES schedule. It's like a whole other festival. Last year there were a bunch of acts playing NITES that weren't playing the festival.

I'm debating whether I want to go to ACL or FFF. FFF's lineup doesn't seem as strong as most years, but there is still plenty to keep me interested throughout the day. It's a great fest and if I was to choose between these two based solely on the vibe, I'd pick Fun Fun Fun. Can't wait for the Nites announcement. ACL has Outkast, Replacements, St. Vincent, etc. so there's that. I'm not a fan truthfully of Pearl Jam, but I'm sure their set will be amazing. But then FFF has the smaller crowds, likely cooler weather, and more bands total I'd be likely to see outside of a festie setting at their own show. Decisions, decisions.
All we can do in here is talk you out of ACL and do FFF instead. sorry.
Also, I hate everyone of you that are going to FFF this year.
ACL has Sam Smith, thus I'm going to ACL. That's happening, tickets, flight, hotel, rental car is all booked. However, I have a credit card which makes FFF doable. I'm not against it, but the time off work is what is the real real problem here...
You started this thread and you're not doing it? Lamesauce. Who is all in for this so far?

Oh I was planning on going, especially after the lineup dropped. A combination of not really being able to afford to go without maxing out the credit card, getting the time off due to work making me their bitch this year, and being able to see some of the artists that were the main draw for me within a reasonable driving distance made me decide it just wasn't possible this year.
Har Mar Superstar is pretty awesome im digging this sound. but my friend is telling me this dude likes to strip to his undies and dance during shows is that really true?
So much goodness in here - MSTRKRFT, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Into It Over It, Pontiak/Wovenhand show, Self Defense Family, The Hotelier and The Weeks......on top of all the other awesome bands playing the fest too.......damn.
So excited for this entire festival.
