Knapsack/Mineral or Lunice. Alan from Neon Indian is doing a DJ set at Cheer Up Charlie's tonight as well, even though that wasn't listed on the Nites lineup.

Who all here is going to this? I won't be able to arrive until around 8 Friday. I was so let down about having to miss Spider Bags, Mineral, Ginuwine, and especially Sun Kil Moon (I've seen RTJ a couple of times already) I started to skip the whole thing. It would be great to meet up with some of you. I hope to be at the Saturday Nite show at ACL live for Cass, Meat Puppets, and Dinosaur Jr.
I have done ZERO research for this lineup, and I feel there's more that I don't know this year then in previous years. Probably going to bounce around between stages and just see what grabs my ear.
If anyone has some suggestions of don't miss shows, throw 'em out, I'm listening!
Debating between Amon Amarth and RTJ, but will probably end up at Amon Amarth. We'll see though.
For Fri Nite, was thinking the Elysium for that slab of metal, but not for sure. Tombs is playing a local show in San Antonio tonight, so might just catch them tonight and do something else Fri Nite.
Sat Nite I am seeing STS9, but anticipate the show will be over to catch the last band of one of the nite shows. Was thinking Pallbearer, but will be seeing them at the fest too.
So basically I've made no decisions. Oh well, I know I'll still see some good music.
And I'm definitely down for a meetup at some point.
And I'm definitely down for a meetup at some point.
If you check these boards Saturday morning I'll have sent you a message. I plan to start that day at Master Pancake or Twin Peaks depending on how early I get in the gates. We can come up with a place/set to meet up.
Not sure what time I make it there today, but yesterday was great. Stand outs for me were Amon Amarth, Judas Priest, and Pallbearer. Pallbearer were super nice guys too, met them at the artist signing and picked up Foundations of Burden on vinyl.
I'm a pretty easy guy to spot, 6'4", long dark brown hair, and I'll be wearing a black Goat shirt today. Will probably have a blue hoodie around too. If you see me, feel free to say hello!
Edit: Oh ya, Yelle was fantastic as well. Went into that set blind, but stayed for the whole thing.
Rothric are you staying at Motel 6? I saw someone outside smoking as I was leaving today that fit your description lol.
Not me! My parents live in Wimberley, just outside Austin and I'm staying with them.
I don't know what I did to my foot on Friday, but I fucked it up something fierce. Actually didn't even make it to the fest yesterday. Still hurts when I walk, but no way I'm missing FlyLo today.
Currently sitting in the airport editing photos till my flight at 6:00AM. Left the fest early tonight, after FlyLo had started. Wasn't really feeling his set to be honest, maybe I was just wore out. And I wasn't interested in any of the headliners tonight. Here's a few shots I've already got done. I'll likely have the full album up tomorrow evening.

There were quite a few people who started out at the front of the stage who began pushing their way out of the crowd with angry faces a few songs into FlyLo. I guess they were expecting a dance party. I loved it. Probably my favorite set of the weekend. I didnt get in until 8 Friday. I caught the three opening Priest songs then most of alt-J making it back to Black in time for You Got Another Thing Coming. I enjoyed both of those sets. Other highlights for me were Yo La Tengo, New Pornographers, Nas, a great live DJ performance from Z Trip, Fat White Family with one of the best sets I saw all week at the Black Stage, local fav Scott H Biram, and Thundercat. The Meatbodies and Purling Hiss show at Beerland was insane. I left before OBN III's to catch Angel Olsen and that was a beautiful performance. Ended things Sunday night at the Belmont with a fun set from Sky Ferreira. It was a great two days of live music. It was good meeting Rothric and seeing Phi and ilovethisgame around.
Highlights: SZA, Run The Jewels, Blood Brothers, Bob Moses, Zorch, Octopus Project, MSTRKRFT, Sophie, Cashmere Cat, Deafheaven, Mineral
Disappointments: Alt-J and Neutral Milk Hotel. Guess their Bonnaroo sets were just too good compared to this weekend's. Neutral Milk especially was a huge letdown. Awful crowd, awful mix, no energy, mediocre setlist and pacing.

Rothric how was that Murder City Devils set? I'm kinda regretting leaving before they started. I was just thinking about the long drive home.
Also, Ryan Hemsworth has the lamest visuals I've ever seen at a show. On the screen during his performance were pictures of eggs, forks, kittens, and a girls hands writing his name in a notebook with a marker. I doubt I would have sat thought that if I didn't want to lose my prime spot for Madlib and Gibbs. Freddie definitely wins the prize for most gangsta performance at FFF.
had a blast all weekend long. Ginuwine was way better then i expected i actually had a lot of fun that whole set. Some of the other favs were Jell Biafara with the Guantanamo School of Med they had the craziest crowd that i saw at a stage all weekend, Yelle was a blast too, even tohugh i had no idea what she was saying it was still a great time and a cool show, Atmosphere was prob my fav overall set he just brought it for every single song. Saturday was easily the most corwded day with Modest Mouse that was a jammed packed crowd even getting their for most of First Aid Kids set
FFF was amazing as always, glad I finally made it back. The layout was way different from the last time I attended, but I think it was definitely an improvement.
Friday was fantastic with the highlights of the day for me being: Amon Amarth, Pallbearer, Judas Priest, and Yelle.
Pulled something in my foot on Friday, so unfortunately missed all of Saturday and the first part of Sunday. Pretty bummed, missed lots of good shows.
I ended up getting back to the fest just in time for Flying Lotus. That was easily my favorite set I saw all weekend. A perfect blend of old and new material, with much of it being reworked. Like Fuzzy mentioned, several trains of people leaving who weren't feeling it. I was loving it though.

Ehh, I went to get a Turkish kabob while listening, so that might tell you But, it worked out, while in line for food, jigawig randomly walks up! So got to hang out with him for a bit.
Would they not let you in the photo pit for FlyLo?
They wouldn't let me in the photo pit for shows that were the last 2 acts to play on each stage, each night. Pretty ridiculous honestly. At first they just said "Headliners" then they later said that "headliners" were the last 2 acts on each stage. Came in thinking I wouldn't get to shoot Alt-J, Girl Talk, and Judas Priest and ended up getting locked out of 18 total sets. Lame.
OMG that same weird bitch came out during Sophie's NITES set and I thought it was just some drunk annoying bitch from the crowd. She was super duper weird. I guess it's his GF or some shit.
