I have to re watch that episode because I had some stuff to tend to in the middle of it, and my wife, god bless her heart, feels the need to ask questions about every thing, even things we clearly don't have the answer to yet. However, tbf, season one's story was pretty slow moving at first as well, but mcconaughey was so captivating, that it allowed the viewer to forgive the slow development. We don't seem to have that actor here. They all did a fine job, but no one who seems to be as interesting as him. McAdams seemed to grab my attention the most, but probably because she's adorable.

I enjoyed it and I don't think we'll know how cool this episode is until the end, but that motorcycle scene pissed me off. They didn't have anything that unbelievable in the entire first season. You don't go from full speed to tightd!ck-slide-stopping in a few seconds and two wheel vehicles don't really wobble like that at those speeds.
Other than that, I dug it. Maybe Vince Vaughn will end up being pretty good in it, but I found his scenes the slowest.

I wasnt thrilled. Thought the dialogue was pretty stilled and lacked the charisma that MM brought. I'm looking forward to it and hope the tension gets a little better but a few of the main characters have some development potential.
EDIT: hahaha. I spend too much time on work email. Thanks. Chico.

I think I'll be enjoying this season more each week. I'm interested in seeing Farrell and McAdams butt heads and I expect Colin to turn on Vaughn eventually.
After my initial viewing, I thought it was really intriguing despite its confusion. After re watching it, it was a damn solid first episode.
Edit: My theory about Taylor Kitsch's character is that he is either gay, has to take Viagra to get hard, and was burned/scarred when he was younger for being gay, OR he was abused/scarred/burned as a kid and it made his penis not work correctly. Colin Farrell's character is my favorite so far.
Plot and acting are both pretty decent, and killing(?) Colin Farrell's character was a good twist. I'm not really sure why he seemed so careless in that house, but whatever. My biggest issue is with the writing. That whole Vince Vaughn monologue was a little much and there's just some bad lines and weird pieces of dialogue
Ban this guy. Delete all his posts. Find where he lives and dress up like birdman and wait inside for him. All kidding aside, C'mon mayne!!!!!!

Ive already watched episode 2 but you're gonna make some enemies on here if you don't use the "spoiler" feature
Wasn't thinking! Fixed it, and hopefully there wasn't too much damage done
Well that was unexpected. It was funny because I saw Phyre Fest post on facebook with the same gif that he posted here. For the whole episode, I thought he was talking about them explicitly showing how Caspere got shotgunned in the dick (btw, who shotguns someone in the dick?). Then, I get to end and was like "Ohhhhhh that's what he was referencing." It makes a lot more sense as to why all the season trailers just had scenes from the first episode like crazykittensmile noticed.
I am still not totally buying into the season. Don't get me wrong. I am enjoying watching, but there's something just off about the script or acting or direction. One of the three.
Also, thanks facebook for reminding me why I try to watch shows I am really interested in ASAP. The very top thing on my feed this morning was one of those dickbag articles where they had a picture of Colin Farrell with a "Fatal(?!) gunshots" headline. Assholes.
This show is great. The Vaughn haters are off their rockers, he's killing it. All of the characters' story lines are interesting. I dig everything about it, even those bad ass opening credits.
I'm not one to quickly write something off, but I'm having a hard time staying interested so far. Hopefully the end of last night's episode is a sign that things are about to pick up, but I kind of doubt it.
First I'm shocked Colin's character is dead. I'm assuming he's dead, not sure if you survive a shotgun blast to the stomach. He was my favorite character so far. But in hindsight there was a sense of finality/impending doom in his arc this episode, most specifically his conversation with Vince directly before he is shot.
Second, are we to understand Tim Riggins is a repressed homosexual? When he initially needed viagra, I assumed it was PTSD from his time in the middle east. But then a few things happened this episode:
1. His blatantly homophobic comments about the guy at the bank, where he said he was about to have to punch the guy out for hitting on him. Even the drunken fat cop was like "why would you do that?"
2. His relationship with his "ma" don't seem right. I know my Mom doesn't touch me like that. Weird.
3. At the end he is on his balcony drinking a beer staring intently at what I am assuming was a male prost.
Anyway I'm enjoying the season so far. I went into it knowing it would be impossible for it to approach season 2's greatness, so I'm trying to consider it in a vacuum. I like all the characters and think all the performances are great so far. Some scenes are definitely a little heavy handed, but I think its worth it to give the characters some time to develop before passing judgment.

First half of the episode was slow, boring, more of the same from last week. But once things finally came together it was great. Excited to see where it goes after the events in last episode.
Farrell and McAdams were both amazing in this episode. That younger guy is pretty poorly written. Vaughn is really bad, low point of the show imo.
