I’m currently bingeing season one and very much enjoying it. I’ve heard season two isn’t good. Is it bad enough that I should just skip it or still worth a watch with low expectations?

I think it works better as a binge. And with low expectations you may enjoy it more. It takes a bit to get going but it was hard to follow season one. Not terrible/skippable though.

ahhhh, as one of Inforoo's resident "i watch bad stuff on purpose all the time and love it" folks.... maybe. Vince Vaughn is entertainingly bad. I think Colin Ferrell is terrific in it and Rachael McAdams is great in a not so well written role. it's a real shame the main story was such a convoluted mess because their part was really engaging. But it's certainly not a very good season of TV overall. Probably better than your average cop show but not on par with most prestige TV shows. Pretty much everyone who posted in this thread agreed.
Edit: Ohh, and I really really liked Season 3. Once you except what it's really about and stop being impatient about the mystery it gets better. The acting is just flatout great.

I could not stop laughing at the "deep" monologues they were giving Vince Vaughn early on in the season. The one when he's lying in bed and staring at the ceiling was one I remember.
I will say that his character and performance is greatly improved in the second half. Like...when he stopped trying to be a businessman and went back to his violent ways. But yea....I wish they had gotten someone else for that role.

Agreed about this. I liked both their work but found the overall story to first be a bit confusing/vague and then to just not be that interesting.

But there was no real supernatural aspect of season one. It was hinted at but I thought this season did similar things. It was all just normal, gross humans committing crimes and covering it up. I felt both S1 and S3 hinted at supernatural stuff but in the end it was just people. This season tricked me with some shots showing Hayes seeing the door move when no one was there or watching himself in the past. They definitely made it seem like something weird was up but in the end it's just not as exciting as our minds let it be. Same for S1 where it was just a relative of someone with a lot of power and influence
