Every year the comedy lineup comes out and we are like "Oh cool, Id love to go see __________" That would be hilarious and a change of pace. LEts do it!!" Yea!!! Then, every year we dont even remotely come close to going to see a comedy show.

I'm glad that they decided to not go with a huge comedy name this year. It's more money for them to spend on bands instead of one person who will have a very limited audience. I always get sad when I see big names like Tosh and Conan and know that I won't be able to see them because of the comedy tent situation.
Bridget everett is amazing. saw her not too long ago in nyc and she brought my girlfriend up on stage (physically lifted her up out of the crowd and brought her on stage) sang a song to her, spit a jolly rancher in her mouth, grounded on her head. it really is a sight to see, hoping she'll be able to get the crowd involved like she does in small comedy clubs.
Still, I think this years lineup is weak. Ice Cube is a legend, whats up with his low billing? Being billed under Wiz? c'mon. I discovered Michael Che at the comedy tent which is cool but he's not big so I'm not exposed to him.
Damon Albarn? If I said that name to your average person they wouldnt have any idea. "Gorillaz" is way more recognizable. His solo stuff is weak too.
Bonnaroo is a business, and the more tickets they think a band will move, the closer their name gets to the top. Billing at Bonnaroo (really, any festival) has never been about legend status; if it were, you wouldn't see Pretty Lights above David Byrne or Li'l Wayne above Robert Plant. Ice Cube is quickly becoming, for lack of a better term, dad rap. He could pack out a tent, but not either stage after mid-afternoon.
I also think Damon Albarn draws more recognition than you might think. He's only just released his debut solo album, so his name alone might not ring as many bells as Blur or Gorillaz, but mark my words, he will be much higher billed in a few years' time. Jack White is a good comparison - when he first started doing solo shows, it was mostly clubs, ballrooms and theatres; in the two years since, he's stepped up to Bonnaroo headliner status.
Bridget Everett and the Tender Moments. I might have to make an appearance at this one. Never heard of her but her shows looks like a riot. Interesting that Ad-Rock is in her band. This could be one of the most interesting shows of the bunch. Ya gotta love a chick that has a song called "What I Gotta Do to Get That Dick in my Mouth"
You know, I remember reading something about that a few months back but it didn't even register at first when I saw her name on the lineup. Is it possible that we have our answer to the mystery Superjam? It will have been five years this year since the last Beastie Boys show.

Taran Killam and friends now includes Good Neighbor which is the group made up of two guys on SNL who do the new digital shorts and have some awesomely funny youtube videos. That should be solid.

usually they start giving the tickets out an hour before the show. i'm not sure about how popular they are or how early people would be lining up for tickets, but i always just kind of scope out the line and if it's getting long, i'll jump in a little early to make sure i can get tickets if it's something i really want to see.

Chances are you'll be able to walk right into either of the Broad City Shows.

Tell my boo Ilana I said, sup.
i would enjoy that very much.
i'll pass on the message to Ilana when we take a break from making out/heavy petting.

Here's what I would do (assuming they have the same kind of system as the past few years. I've had great success with the comedy tent in the past....I go at least one or two shows a year):
The Broad City show starts at 2:30. There is one show before it that starts at 12:30.
Get into Centeroo early. Ask the workers for confirmation about when they are giving out the 2:30 show tickets. If they seem unsure or something ask another worker who looks more like a supervisor. Sometimes the volunteers who stand out there don't have a ton of information and are just doing what they're told so I always would check with someone who looked a little more official.
When the 12:30 show begins they will begin giving out laminated passes/tickets to the Broad City show. This pass/ticket guarantees you entry into the Broad City show as long as you show up on time (or just a few minutes late). With this pass you'd likely be able to walk to the comedy tent at 2:30 and walk right in (though you may not get a great seat....if you want a great, front row kind of seat then you should wait in line right after you get your Broad City pass when the 12:30 show begins).
There may be people lining up for Broad City when you go there at 11 or 12 so be sure to ask around if people are waiting for the same show you want. It can't hurt to check and see how long the line is early because Broad City is pretty popular at the moment and may have a long line.
To sum up: - Go in early and scope out the situation. - Ask workers/volunteers to confirm when the passes will be given out for your specific show. - Ask people waiting in lines what they're waiting for.
The lines sometimes seem really, really long but most of the people can get in. It's only when the line loops around a dozen times that it's not worth waiting.

I'm glad Craig Robinson is early on Friday, gonna try to see him. If he starts at 1, when would be a good time to start waiting for the tickets to get in?

I think you'd be alright if you went to wait at 1130 or 12. Not sure how early people will get there but if he's the first show of the day it's a little trickier. I'd go as early as possible and see if the volunteers are there and getting things ready. Some folks may line up early if they have nothing else they want to see that early.

Sounds like a good plan, earliest act I want to see aside from him is Sam Smith at 2
