Craig Robinson has a hilarious and fun set. I saw him a few months back and it was just one big party. I could definitely see him giving a good performance on the farm this year.
When it say Taran Killam with Good Neighbor I'm assuming that's referring to Kyle Mooney and those guys?
Could end up being a sneaky play early Thurs.
So excited they're gonna be there this year. Been a big fan of these three (now 2? wonder if they'll be including the non-SNL guy if they're calling it Good Neighbor) for a few years now.
Regardless, I know where I'm gonna be when the champions come.

I'm not 100% expecting both Mooney and Beck Bennett because they are big enough names being on SNL themseleves to be named...but I made the same guess when I saw Good Neighbor. Would be awesome. Either way, it should be a good show. Taran Killam is funny on his own.

i would watch taran killam do jebidiah atkinson and his matthew mcconaughey for the entire show.

I might actually try for the Comedy Theatre twice this year: Hannibal Buress on Friday and Craig Robinson on Saturday.
I'm excited about both shows, though I'm pretty sad that waiting for Hannibal Friday morning will make me miss at least two other shows and probably the Inforoo Brunch. I'm stilldebating it a little, but I hate to pass up a show I really want to see.

After putting him in that company you've probably ruined him for me.

I wouldn't mind seeing Neal Brennan (co-creator of Chappelle's Show). He's one of the more under rated comics/writers today. You might recognize his voice in the new Samsung phone commercials.

I would definitely recommend seeing Craig Robinson. I saw him at outside lands last year and he was great, then he came out at a LN venue with John stamos to introduce the superjam with dumpstaphunk w/John oats and trombone shorty. The guy is hilarious. I'm sure he will be all over the farm this year.
tip for people who have conflicts with comedy shows or don't want to wait in sun for hours: check to see if your favorite comics are doing a tour in your city. it is possible!!!
i have gone to damn near all the comedy every year for the past 7 years, and gotta say, the line-up IS a little weak (besides hannibal), however, REALLY excited about discovering new talent. for instance that rory scorvel guy, that was a great conan set!!
one of my favorite parts of roo is getting tipsy and stoned as hell before a comedy show and chillllll in the AC!!!! squeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 24 more days!!!!

If kyle doesnt go around the campgrounds doing interviews like this I will be extremely disappointed

Hannibal set will be great and I'm going to try for one of the TJ Miller/Rory Scovel slots. Yes...there's not a huge comedy name this year like Conan, Fallon, Saget, or Tosh. Still going to be alright. We got a lot of current great acts.
How hard would it be to get a ticket for Hannibal Buress? How early should I get there n stuff? What if I just walked right over to the comedy tent at the very beginning of the day would I be able to get a ticket? I've never been to the comedy tent

I'm trying to go see him Friday afternoon, and I've been asking myself the same question. They hand out tickets an hour before the show, so 2 o'clock. Is getting there at noon early enough? Probably not. But any earlier and I have to pretty much skip Inforoo brunch. Idk. Might head over to the comedy tent around 11 or even a little before. I want to make sure I get in and even though he isn't a huge name, I think a lot of people will be trying.

I'm trying to see him on Thursday...Waiting anymore than a couple hours isn't really worth it to me though. And to think that there could be a scenario where I wait and wait then it sells out right as I'm about to get up there.

They give out tickets 2 hours before the start of the show. So if Hannibal is on at 4, you should get your ticket at 2. There will be a line for the tickets. I usually get in line for the ticket I want about a half hour before they start handing them out.
Your ticket guarantees you a seat but you have to be in the theater before the scheduled start time. So you're best off getting your ticket then getting in line another half hour before the show starts.

Is it two hours? I don't know why I assumed it was one. That makes a big difference personally, on what kinda shows I can see on Friday morning.

Yea it is two hours. Best bet is to walk over at the beginning of the day and ask the people working there what the ticket hand out process is. As people have mentioned before, there can be confusion between the volunteers.

Okay so 30 minutes before they start handing out tickets....in all I might be in line for like 45 minutes to an hour I'm guessing. Then I can free roam until 30 minutes before the show

Already answered basic info about this. Just use the same gameplan for the show you want to see (instead of Broad city like in my post):
i actually would really like to see broad city live on saturday
i've never done the comedy tent though, so help me out here. how the heck do i know what line i'm supposed to be in and when to get tickets to see the 2:30 show on saturday? i don't mind standing in line, but i need to know when to be there.
Here's what I would do (assuming they have the same kind of system as the past few years. I've had great success with the comedy tent in the past....I go at least one or two shows a year):
The Broad City show starts at 2:30. There is one show before it that starts at 12:30.
Get into Centeroo early. Ask the workers for confirmation about when they are giving out the 2:30 show tickets. If they seem unsure or something ask another worker who looks more like a supervisor. Sometimes the volunteers who stand out there don't have a ton of information and are just doing what they're told so I always would check with someone who looked a little more official.
When the 12:30 show begins they will begin giving out laminated passes/tickets to the Broad City show. This pass/ticket guarantees you entry into the Broad City show as long as you show up on time (or just a few minutes late). With this pass you'd likely be able to walk to the comedy tent at 2:30 and walk right in (though you may not get a great seat....if you want a great, front row kind of seat then you should wait in line right after you get your Broad City pass when the 12:30 show begins).
There may be people lining up for Broad City when you go there at 11 or 12 so be sure to ask around if people are waiting for the same show you want. It can't hurt to check and see how long the line is early because Broad City is pretty popular at the moment and may have a long line.
To sum up: - Go in early and scope out the situation. - Ask workers/volunteers to confirm when the passes will be given out for your specific show. - Ask people waiting in lines what they're waiting for.
The lines sometimes seem really, really long but most of the people can get in. It's only when the line loops around a dozen times that it's not worth waiting.

Correct. The ticket line moves really fast once they start handing out the tickets. So if you are near the front of it you will only wait like five minutes once they start passing it out.

If there's a show you really want to see it's worth it to scope out the comedy area even earlier than you plan to wait and just see if a line has formed and if people are waiting for the show you want. Everyone who waits inside the gated area 100% gets tickets and then the line that extends out from there tends to allow a LOT of people to get tickets as well. So even if it's really long there's a solid chance you'll get them.
They also sometimes have workers/volunteers walking past the line to either organize or count and they can sometimes tell you if you are likely to get a ticket if you ask.

I just saw Hannibal at Sasquatch and he is top notch right now. I thought he was hilarious at Roo in 2011 but this was even better. Dude knows what he's doing. The comedy setup at Sasquatch is so much better than what Roo's doing. During the day they use one tent for comedy and at night it houses DJs. This way the space gets used all day and it's more integrated into the fest. The tent is open on the back (like Roo tents) but has siding all the way down to the ground which helps create a nice feeling of enclosure and separateness. There's no seating but you could chill on the grass as there's side screens and another at the back of the tent for overflow. Best part is you just walk right in, no dedicating hours to standing in line, wondering if you will or won't get a ticket. I really hope Roo adopts something similar in the future. This doesn't show the back of the tent but it's the best I could find online:

Yea, that would be pretty awesome if they had a bigger tent that was open to walking in and out. The whole line and ticket thing, while better than it was in the past, is still such a time waster because of the whole process.
