But now Frank Ocean is going to be super crowded in the Other Tent. I would have switched Nick Cave and Darkside into the Other Tent
I personally feel like Darkside should be playing late night Thursday in contrast to Ty Segall.. That would free up a lot of our Saturday night conflictions.
I agree with what was written above - especially because I'd like to see Darkside - but I get the sense they create some of the conflicts on purpose, so people are spread out evenly at different shows.

True, they definitely try to control the flow of the crowds so that everyone is spread out as evenly as possible.. but Saturday night is so conflicted. I mean, no one is even playing while Ty Segall is on Thursday night. They could throw Darkside in another tent. I think they're underestimating how many people are going to show up for Darkside. I mostly just want to see Kaskade that night because well, it's quacking Kaskade and it's been a while since I've been to a good Four on the Floor EDM show. - but I'm definitely gonna catch most of Darkside if not all of it.

Back on the topic of the thread.. I'm very curious about the Skrillex Superjam.. I mean, will it be like the regular Superjam where they'll cover songs?? or are they literally gonna just collaborate on the fly..? What do ya'll think?

I asked Joel from Umphreys on Twitter about it and he said "Expect lots of songs most people know that will make for a killer party"

And with all these artists, what will skrillex himself be doing? I def see him getting out from behind the tables

Quack yes! I'm betting we get at LEAST one Daft Punk cover.. Thundercat singing "Get Lucky" perhaps? Callin it now.

I imagine he'll either play guitar and/or sing. He used to sing, albeit for one of the most terrible bands I've ever heard, but if he didn't try to stretch his range way beyond its limits like he did in that band, it might be pretty good.
edit: words and stuff.

Glad to hear this! My excitement for this show is increasing by the day!
I had the chance to see Skrillex twice in the last 4 days (Toronto and Rochester) and I have to say his new show is MILES ahead of what he brought to the farm in 2012. The music flowed a lot better and wasn't as much brostep as he has done in the past. Also, the production is much better and more complete than the last time he played Roo. The 2 shows I saw were actually pretty different for the most part, which is rare for a large-scale EDM tour/production.
In Rochester he dropped a Disclosure vs Salt N Pepa remix that was absolutely amazing. Also, just wait until he breaks out his Lion King (SIMBA!!!) remix, people are going to lose their minds.
I'm going to catch both his sets.. But I am like 30x more excited for the Superjam. I did watch some of his 2014 mothership tour videos tho and that production he is rolling with is BIG and AWESOME.

You got my attention....
He only did it one of the nights I saw him, but its the build to this crazy drop with the chanting from the movie while the movie is playing behind him.
High and Mighty Horns added to the Skrillyjam. Not sure who they are though.
probably the dudes from high and mighty brass band. they are playing which saturday monring, and the christmas barn a few times throughout the weekend.
Mickey hart tweeted earlier that he's bringing RAMU to the Superjam. Its basically a grateful dead sample filled midi controller. I guess he won't be behind a kit after all?

My thoughts on the Skrillex Superjam. The first announcement had a lot of individual parts that sound awesome. But adding Joel Cummins on Keyboards, horns and an additional singer makes me think they might have needed more glue to hold everything together.
I'm excited to see what happens. The additions certainly feel a little more organic than the show did previously.
I'm trying to figure out what kind of songs we cane expect to hear. With Joel saying songs everyone knows, it leaves plenty of options. Electronic? Rock? Funk? Who knows.
