I skipped out on the superjam and hate myself. I did hear it from pod 2 so there's that. I did go see him Friday night though. It's not the same but in my mind it makes me feel a little better.
Seriously, this was the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life. I would've paid the ticket price for just this show alone. So many once in a lifetime moments that happened during these three hours that I don't even know where to start. I skipped out on Jack White to wait the two and a half hours to be up front, and I am so glad that I did. Pretty sure the unannounced guests were Craig Robinson, Mystikal, Fatman Scoop, Mike Einziger, A$AP Ferg, Lauryn Hill and the singer from Cage the Elephant. Could care less that Chance dropped out, my mind was so overloaded with awesomeness that it didn't matter. Don't know how Bonnnaroo is going to follow that up next year, or ever. Thank you Skrillex.

I've never seen an artist who loves Bonnaroo as much as Skrillex does. Even if you're not into his music, his entire attitude about this past weekend screams Fellow Bonnaroovian. Killed in his set Friday, the SuperJam was unreal and he was loving all of it so much he jumped back on at 6am. Seriously, his face that morning looking out over us crazies who were still raging was incredible. He put in so much effort to make sure we all had a mind blowing experience...it makes my heart smile.

In 2012 I was in the pit for his LN Which show, close enough that I could see his facial expressions. He appeared genuinely shocked and delighted with the crowd. At one point he said "there are so many of you!" I got a feeling he really made a connection with the festival that year, and his antics this year affirmed that feeling.

I missed the superjam and this is my one regret from this year. His Friday show was awesome. I caught a train to the front and had sssssooooo much fun.
Got to meet Skrilly at Bonnaroo and he was a really cool dude. Super normal, not cocky acting, normal seeming dude. I'm going to pay more attention to him.
Wandered over here after Flips, heard Break on Through and him playing with Damian Marley. Had to leave after, was exhausted. It's good to hear that Skrillex got into the Bonnaroo spirit as much as he did.

Can we try to put a setlist together for this thing? The beginning was the hardest part as it was mostly instrumental. Heres what i think i have:
Opening track. Skrillex/big gigantic live instruments Next backup singers and thundercat on Bass. Hype song with fatman scoop Instrumental Fire on the mountain dub with mickey hart. (Mickey ended this with a weird spoken word thing over beats) Instrumentals - maybe 2-3?
Side note: there were so many guests after this that i missed when/where zedd ever came on stage but i heard he was there.
Tennessee Heat w/ Craig Robinson on keys and mystikal Bounce back w/ Robinson and Mystikal Shake ya ass w/ robinson and mystikal Use me w/ robinson
Maybe an instrumental here.
Pump up the jam w/ warpaint Let's dance w/ warpaint Wanna be startin somethin w/ janelle monae I feel good w/ monae Tightrope w/ monae Juicy w/ asap ferg Work w/ ferg Shabba w/ ferg Wild for the night w/ ferg Breakin a sweat w/ robby kreiger Break on through w/ kreiger & matt schultz
Heres where i left but i heard damian marley came out for two and lauryn hill for three. Something like:
Make it Bun Dem w/ Damian Marley ??? w/ Damian Marley Lost Ones w/ Lauryn Hill Jumpin' w/ Lauryn Hill Ready or Not w/ Lauryn HIll

Also i guess i should say that joel cummins was out in the second half. Thundercat and the high and mighty horns were session players on almost every song aling with mike einziger.
The stage was set up with skrillex and dominic from big g in the middle with mixers, laptops, guitar and sax. Big g's drummer played the whole time back right. Mickey harts drums were back left, keys (cummins and robinson) front left, warpaint drums front right and the horn section, back up singers and thundercat were on a platform behind skrillex and dominic.
I really really wish a recording of this would appear but i fear i'll have to wait for Bonnaroos own vid.

Found this is Setlist.fm
Yeah, I saw that. But it's definitely not accurate. It's just a collection of songs that were played, but out of order and lacking Craig Robinson, Stephen Marley, Mickey Hart, Zedd, the opening rap guy (fatman scoop?) and pretty much every song without a guest and there were several in the beginning.
that setlist fm just seems like a collection of songs played. i think that is way out of order. but may be not. I now it is missing the damian marley part of the set, and mickey hart. and it seemed like the first 20 or 30 minutes were all instrumental/electronic beats and jams for skrilly and big g.

I know it's a at least partily out of order, because Mystikal and Craig Robinson were two of the first big guests, long before Lauryn Hill.
I woke up at the medical tent at 7 am on Sunday and I thought Kaskade was still playing. Turns out it was skrillex! Did that dude sleep that weekend?! For those wondering how I ended up at the med tent...g- rated version 7pm: smoke with neighbors 8pm: danced at Jack white 9pm: headed over to skrillex SJ...amazing amazing amazing time. Drained most of my camelback of wine... danced like crazy and stayed for the entire set 2am: danced at Kaskade till 4ish? (No phone or watch lol) then went back to camp to sit down for a sec...danced my way back to tent ran into narly neighbors who wanted to hit up silent disco. forgot bottles aren't allowed inside CRoo, gate dude told me to toss it...I was feeling the greatest buzz of my life, so after I tossed the drink I went to go thru and the dude asked me if I was on u know what. This is where keeping it real went wrong. I told him (while dancing cuz music was still pounding) naw dude, that u know what takes me! The poor guy gave me the weirdest look and called the medics who took me to their tent. I found out telling medics that "I'm high on life" doesn't cut it lol. Sunday morning was rough, I danced for over eight hours, had blisters on my feet and my arms& shoulders were killing me from all the dancing I did. But man it was one of the best nights of my life and now I know skrillex was the dude playing when I woke up
