Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm more concerned with the ad in there for OK Tires. They aren't even sure of their own product. "We're just ok. Better not name the company something like "A+ Tires.""
Any tips on what to do/bring/not to do if it rains?
Are boots really that necessary?
Thanks in advance
Yes.
If not for the rain then for all of the mud! I was in my rainboots for a solid half of last year's Roo because it was so muddy getting to/from Centeroo and Pod1 that my shoes got soaked and then caked with mud pretty quick. Muddy shoes also mean muddy tent, and nobody wants that.
I think what we should take away from those weather posts from Boner is that it has changed every day. Its unpredictable. Just have good thoughts and prepare for anything.

Yes.. Today when I look at the forecast it went back to DELICIOUS.. Rain gone, high in mid-80's, partly cloudy.... The weather is so bi-polar.
These last 4 posts are meant to show the inaccuracies and inconsistency of long range forecasts. We'll likely see some rain, and high humidity. Doesn't look like any long down pours tho. That said, here's your "Boners's good news, bad news predictions".
Good news: None of the days have shown more than 0'4 inches of rain.
Bad news: Friday will likely be the most humid day, feeling like 111
again, not entirely accurate, but if taking an average of 4 inaccurate forecasts is any indication, it's gonna be humid as fuck.
Haha. You know, it's funny that I knew your guess was simply a guess, but still the mental image of it feeling like 111 degrees due to humidity was too much for me. I hope the humidity passes over the forecast in the next few days.
Hottest temperature I ever experienced in my life was 104 without humidity in 2011. My shins were sweating. I cannot imaging what 111 would even feel like, I'd probably have to tap out and sit in the fountain all day. So if something like this happens, you'll all know where I'll be. Come say hello

It hit 110 where I live on monday, and wont let up until august. Its very hot, but after a certain point you really dont notice the difference between 110 and 116. Both are worse than high humidity "feeling" like 111.
If Kanye wants to have it be 111 degrees on Friday, then I can deal with that. Anyone who thinks the weather doesn't recognize his genius and bows to his demands doesn't understand anything.

I remember the latenight downpour in 2008. I wasn't prepared because it hadn't rained in 2007, and I lost my shoes in that torrent. In 2009 we were in a rush to get into Centeroo on Thursday night and figured we'd just throw our stuff in the tent and stake it down later that night. What a mistake. Our tent flipped on its side, and it was the most miserable Roo of my life. Be prepared for rain!!

i agree. Since i'm sober for roughly 45 seconds total on the farm I use those first 45 seconds right when arriving to get everything locked down & staked like fort knox so if i'm dancing at a tent at 2:00am and it is a hurricane I don't have to panic.

Its obvious, lets bribe the weatherman for 4 days of sun, problem solved
I have three nickels and some pocket lint. What will that get me?
That is at least 3 hours of sunshine for sure. If everyone was as generous as david here maybe we could do it. We should get a kickstarter going for the necessary funds to achieve the full 4 days of sun for sure, Ill contact the officials to get things in motion.

on the bright side, it looks like we can expect to avoid the dirtastrophe that was Roo 2011 since there will be plenty of rain in advance of Thursday.
from the forecasts I`ve seen, it looks pretty much like every year. It will be hot and there is a chance a thunderstorm will happen each day. as long as the rain isn`t major, and you`re moderately prepared, all should be good.
Moderately prepared = more than 1 pair of shoes, spare socks and a secure tent setup that handle rain and wind.
Yep. +1 hellhole vote for sunday 2010. Some of the guys I was with were fucking done when the sun came up Sunday, and these were some legit party weeks straight with no sleep frat dudes.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

Hot and chance of afternoon thunderstorms every day is exactly correct. This is the summer weather pattern of the south every single day.
I truly am glad I am from the south during times like these. Living in Alabama all my life growing up playing soccer and now doing landscaping work I love this weather...I see you're from Toronto, our neighbors last year were from Montreal, and boy were they in for a rude awakening...
