Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Thanks. I have already purchased a camel bak. I am super conscious about the sun anyway.
I will keep my shirt on, for many reasons, and I will wear a hat with loads of suncream. I always drink a load of water anyway. I will save the beers for mornings and night times.
Also buy sunglasses. One of my favorite things about watching the Premier League is when it is sunny and everyone stands for 2 hours with hand sunglasses. I laugh every time.
I bloody hate football.
(thanks though, I already have a couple of pairs of good sunglasses.)

Sorry to get back on topic...but has anyone noticed that we're two weeks out and there are no temps in the 90's predicted? Obviously, I don't want a bunch of rain, but keeping it below 90 is amazing
11/2/19: Tool 5/17/19: Blues Traveler 5/9/19: Tool 11/10/18: Tenacious D 9/20/18: White Denim 7/23/18: Radiohead 6/4/18: Jack White 5/20/18: Tool 5/18/18: A Perfect Circle 5/18/18: Alice in Chains 5/6/18: Blind Melon
I just can't get my hopes up about the forecast until June 1. After that though, I'll be checking every day.
From what I understand, you're correct, it's a little early, but looking at the temps surrounding Bonnaroo, I can't imagine a drastic change in temperature alone. Although now that I've said it, we're fucked. 99 and rain all four days.

A study done to determine if forecasts more than 7 days out were accurate found that you're actually much more likely to be correct if you just look at the averages for that day. The averages were actually more accurate than the predictions if said predictions were more than 7 days out. So basically, it's going to be hot. It might rain a little. That's all you need to know.

This is the site I used last time: theweatherwiz.com and they have an 88% accuracy record on long range forecasts - I used it last year and the temps were basically on point including last year's rainstorm.
This is what I saw a few months ago and it has not changed, I would add that I am seeing on other sites a lot of forecasting for wind which makes me happy because last year that constant breeze was awesome! Here is a screenshot from tonight. I am thinking positive thoughts about good weather!

I hope this stays true! It looks like we might get similar weather to last year - including light showers on Sunday! I'm keeping a positive outlook on the weather this year - great weather makes it that much more fun on the farm!

Another note to my fellow redheads... If the temps and clouds that are forecast do hold up, just because the sun isn't blinding you doesn't mean you won't get burnt. I have learned (having been raised by a very outdoor water sports type family) that reapplying sunscreen every 3-4 hours will usually keep the lobster/tomato colored pain away. But have your aloe close at hand too just in case!

Don't get too focused on the bad weather forecasts. All that we can do is have patience and think LOTS of positive thoughts and send good vibes to Manchester, TN.
We honestly won't know anything until June 8th because then the 7-day forecast will give a better idea.
But let'me be clear that don't mean I will stop checking the various weather sites because I'm a weather geek.
I can handle the heat during the day, but 4 years ago it never cooled off at night so there was no comfort at all. As long as it drops below 70 at some point during the night then at least there is some sort of break for the body. I wasn't sure I could make it 4 years ago as the heat was just non stop.
That extended forecast is bumming me out. I know it will probably change some (hopefully for the better), but just thinking about dealing with heavy rain makes me miserable!

it only sucks while you're holding onto the delusion that you'll be able to stay dry. Once you let go, it's a lot more fun
