1. The WHAT PIT line - it was kinda mentioned above once or twice but then glossed over. It's a ridiculous system. I can't vouch for the Kanye Pit line (which I heard was dangerous) but I was in line for the Jack White one. Luckily I lined up close to the wall on the rest room side so I got in. You have a system that tells people to get into a line, so people who do WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO are lining up like civilized society. Then close to the end of Lionel Richie, there was a mass of people who just start lining up behind the people in line all the way down. I'm talking like couple hundred. Then when the people who have been sitting at the front finally get up and make some room, there was a mad rush from all angles to get into line. There is nothing but pushing and helpless moving. All of the other things people talk about getting someone hurt at Bonnaroo I've seen but I expect someone to get hurt in the PIT before anything else. If someone falls during that rush it would be bad. I feel really bad for the people who lined up like they are supposed to and then get screwed over because there are no rules, no order or anything. It's just stupid. I missed Phosphorescent to get in the pit. Turns out I could have just been a shiz and cut like everyone else. The bathrooms don't make it easy to keep people out, the same thing happened at Radiohead. Maybe the other side is less easy to bull rush, i don't know. Sir Paul was more orderly but it was an older pit crowd so perhaps that is the reason. Bottom line is if you are going to make a PIT system and advertise it, there has to be some sort of order to it. Maybe a system like the Comedy Tent has. Anything is better than what's currently in place, which is nothing. 2. The traffic Monday Morning - not sure what the deal was but I've never waited like that before. 3. The app - I've read some reports of secret pop-up shows. I thought that was what the app notification SURPRISES was for. All I ever got was ITS HIGH FIVE FRIDAY and ELTON JOHN IS ABOUT TO PLAY. I hate checking my phone at bonnaroo b/c it takes away from the experience but the fest is pushing it's APP and paypal. 4. I could hear the Which stage better walking through the campground to Groop camping better than being close to the Which Stage. The sound for Kanye was a lot lower than Jack White. 5. Late night acts. Hear me out - I don't care for EDM but I came to the realization this year that i'm in the vast minority. I bounced around late night w/ so many EDM acts playing. Basically the EDM tents were always overflowing and non-EDM was struggling (other than FLIPS) For example, I love Nick Cave but halfway through his set That tent was basically 3/4 full at best. Same thing for Deafheaven. Hopefully in the future when they schedule non-EDM bands at night (and i hope they do) they'll put something that will draw crowds like a Dr. Dog or Cake, which would be popular. If you were an electronic/dance fan your late night options are: = Late night tent act = another late night tent act = another late night tent act = another late night tent act = Kalliope stage = Sonic Stage late night = Silent Disco = Even the Christmas barn was dancing.
Good luck w that! The pit should line should not be harassed and instead of the security waiting to open it like the start of a race, they should open it when clean vibes picks up and hustles off. I feel like the security gets their thrills by being mean to the pit

More interactive art installations and cool places to just hang out. I feel like there is so much wasted space in centeroo that could be used or cool things. One that comes to mind that I remember from when I went in 2013 in the area to the right of the which. iirc, all that was there was a large shade tent, super secret hidden porto potties, and a huge open area. Something awesome could go there!

they moved the silent disco there last year - made it way bigger, too. and the cinema tent.
Water bottles or Camelbaks containing water only (clear, non-glass containers only) Non-framed backpacks and bags (subject to inspection at venue gates) Low-seated concert chairs (i.e., sitting less than a foot off the ground) Blankets
I'm bringing some back pack beach chairs this next year that have a sun shield and I can take in on my back.
I have a hard bottomed, stiff back hiking backpack that I have, not once, been hassled over. I usually put a flask of whiskey in the bottom, under my camelback bladder. Then I just buy lemonade and spike it as the sun goes down.
What I didn't understand, although this didn't happen to me, WHY would roo sale misting fans, then refuse to let people bring them back into centroo the next day? This just seemed like trying to make money from a safety issue.
As always my number one, must change at bonnaroo......
Make the Amish donut shop open before lunch? Why the hell have that giant krispy kreme sugary goodness closed till 11 or 12? It should be open at 9am, no later. Yes, there are old fuddy duddies like me who are awake like myself who enjoy the "Jonestown, the morning after" moonscape of early am centroo. Grab a iced coffee, but I want one of those donuts, hot and fresh.

I sometimes believe new posters are greeted with crabapple attitudes from the long time posters on here...but this made me laugh out loud! Thanks!
On topic; I said this upstream but I believe it so hard I'm going to repeat it. PLEASE put some porto pottys closer to the front of TO so I don't have to sleep with a piss jug next to my tent.
I used a piss jug in my tent in vip.. I always drink so much water all day and night that I end up pissing a ton. More portos, video screens for the tents, and a few more omish donut locations.

Drinking to much water at roo is a good problem to have.
I thought the porto situation was actually much better this last year. Most of the time I got in really easily. I always have a bucket with the sand bag in it at camp for emergencies, always, but all and all there were many better and cleaner portos this last year imo.
They need another Amish donut shop, and it needs to open at 9am, no later then 10am.

A few years ago I found another amish donut shop by the ferris wheel. Weird thing is though they didnt have donuts they sold sandwiches. They werent bad but they are definitely not knock your dick in the dirt good like the donuts are.
They obviously dont know or understand the demand for their product. lol

I agree! Portos closer to TO would be great! That early mornin' run to 'em harder each year!
Main things. 1. Porto potties - The What stage area literally smelled like shit everywhere by the end. It has never been like that before but maybe they just had an issue. Even the water from the fountain near the What had undrinkable water. It smelled and tasted horrid. As I said I think they just had an issue last year. 2. Which stage sound - it is horrible. Unless you are in front of that tree line you can't hear anything due to the surrounding stages/tents. 3. Screens on tents. 4. Bigger silent disco.
Never had a traffic issue leaving like some people claim. Just when arriving.
I have never had cell service issues. Not to mention you are at a music festival. Put your phone away. Use it for pictures or if you need to find your friends there. Otherwise it should stay in your pocket. Leave the real world at the gate.

I can't believe they didn't let people bring in misting fans. It was literally the only thing that got me through some of those full sun days in '13. I sincerely hope they change this for '15. I'm a redhead (which in case you didnt know, redheads feel heat differently than others) and without that misting fan Im not sure I would have made it to nightfall…

I am using it to find friends that I've lost. Don't assume things about me.

I have brown hair but I nearly cried when they took mine away on Sunday last year. I think my body was overly sensitive to the heat after the first two glorious days we had.

Yeah any amount of sunburn is going to kill you the next day if you go right back into the sun. I hope they take this I to consideration.
I have a hard time believing a lot of people were using it to spray acid. I mean, that seems like a messy way. So I guess the few ruined it for the many??
I still think that is the most ridiculous idea I've ever heard of. Filling my spray bottle with thousands of dollars worth of acid to spray all over random strangers?
What was their excuse for the mountain of blankets at the gate also?
I've never really had a problem, but it would be nice if security was consistent. I've had a can of beer taken out of my bag and watched someone wheel in a fucking cooler into the What stage field?? - same gate same security guard.. TI will say that the girl with the cooler was much, much, prettier than me though!

I did groop camping for the first time last year, and the one thing I was disappointed in was the second entrance to roo near the clock tower/ferris wheel (the entrance being the closest to groop camping). That entrance lacks the vibe the main entrance has. Instead of the zig zag line the main entrance has, where you can cheer on fellow roo'ers and of course high five as you walk, the second entrance is just a straight line against the wall, which lacks any interaction and you don't get that pumped up factor before walking through the check in. I think it would be cool to get that same vibe going and make it more of a grand entrance as well, not necessarily another arch, but something to make it more...roo.
Im actually doing ga camping this year just to be able to walk through the arch and experience that vibe again, since I only used that entrance once last year.

I have had no issues bringing my misty fan in the last 2 years. I'll continue to bring mine until security tells me otherwise.

I would agree with this, though my GA camping spot last year was such an easy shot down the path to that second entrance that I generally used it anyway, despite knowing that the archway was, as you described, a much more energizing way to enter the festival. Come to think of it, I often left by the main entrance and came in at the other one....that's silly, seeing as you most want those good vibes as you come IN. Hmm, either way, I do wish the second entrance was a little more like the first - though I appreciated how it tended to move very quickly and efficiently.
OH, and as for the cell phone service issue, not only did I hardly ever have enough service to send just one quick text, but also I really hated how quickly my battery drained - and no, I wasn't ever using it for instagram or facebook or texting people back home, but I was with a big group and had other friends at the festivals who I wasn't camping with but trying to meet up with for shows, and there was once or twice where I literally tried for hours straight to send a message, then I thought it had gone through, only to be that same person hours later when they finally received it at like 10 pm. Sprint is the worst...
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I don't foresee Bonnaroo spendin' money on their other two entrances into Centeroo to dress them up anymore. If you want to walk under the arch then do it.
