We all know of those moments at Roo that just vibrate through your soul and make you emotional and amazingly happy.
This year was no different, except that it happened a couple of different times to me. The first, it was after Kaskade's set ended, and the D.J. on Kalliope was rocking till sunrise, I started walking back to camp and as soon as I hit the VIP courtyard I heard the african chant from the Lion King, I looked around and I broke down into tears, the emotions were overwhelming in so many ways, the energy of the farm just washed over me at that moment, when everything is still, noone is moving around, and you feel at one with the farm at that exact moment of time, the way that everything just feels right.
My second time, I was sitting on VIP hill with krissyjo, @druid, dreamingtree, and ellabelle waiting for The Avetts to start, and @bonzi showed up and I just got super emotional, I was with some of the most amazing and beautiful people on the planet at that time, people who in just four short days had become friends, we bonded over the spirit and vibes of Bonnaroo.
And finally, during one of The Avetts songs, I broke down, I hid it well, but my best friend, and partner in crime is moving so far away in just a few days....I'm not ok with it at all and that song just reverberated through my entire soul and caused me to start crying, This roo was full of emotions and I loved every minute of it. So yes, I had a lot of tears this roo, but I don't regret any of it, it was emotionally cleansing and recharged my soul.
So now let's hear it, what are your moments? What made you overflow with emotion? What made you feel at peace?
Standing so close to Frank and finally getting to see him in person. I just vibed out and stared at him for most of the show. The crowd was too loud, his mic was too low. But nothing could have ruined that moment for me.

Flaming lips, during do you realize. One of the happiest, most magical moments of my life. Can't even explain. Not going to try. Getting cold chills just thinking about it!! Nothing can top it.
When Kaskade dropped "Atmosphere" at like 400am on Saturday night I just got lost in the moment. A random group of like 6 people, including myself formed a group hug and just jumped up and down hugging each other for the whole song screaming the words.

I mentioned it in the Cloud Nothings thread, but a guy had a "I Know That Feel" sign based off of the meme. It was brought up during a song of theirs which the lyrics said "I'm not telling you all I'm going through, I FEEL FINE." The set was already intense enough since it was a massive mosh-pit and I was on the rail getting crushed but still having a good time. But the pocket of us around where the sign was just went even more nuts when the sign was out during that song and it was just an absolute perfect moment, my favorite of the festival.
Another would be during Dr. Dog's "The Truth", where the lyrics in the bridge are "Let the raaaiiiin faaaallll." Shortly thereafter, it started to rain lightly for just the following song. It was a beautiful song and a beautiful moment.
The "Fuck Yeah Roo" balloon at The Flaming Lips, just after a beautiful opener of The Abandoned Hospital Ship.
And, of course, that Buzz Lightyear balloon flying to the stars during Elton John's "Rocket Man."

this completely. standing for an hour and a half shoulder to shoulder with thousands of sweaty people in the front sucked, but once he came on i forgot about all of it. i even cried and it was just beautiful.
Sunday morning - from crashing in the hammock at ENO, the 90s rave party, and jamming along to skrillex as I picked up garbage for the clean vibes trading post; that moment was the best.

-Skrillex Superjam: I'm not a Ferg fan, but when he came out and did the first verse the Juicy... I was genuinely emotional. Sounds silly for a 32 year old white guy from the gulf coast but its one of my favorite verses of all time.
-Meshuggah: It's 2:30 in the am, the band takes the stage, and immediately I'm bombarded with the most violent barrage of lights and sound I would hear all weekend. It was a beautiful feeling I'd been looking forward to ever since the schedule dropped.
-Kanye West: Walking through the crowd when he breaks into Cold. The fans screaming that first line was a wonderful moment of unity in an otherwise divisive set (I loved the set, third favorite show for me).
-James Blake: Hate to use this phrase referring to him, but the first time "the bass dropped" (don't know any other way to put it), the SPL was so intense it shocked my whole being into the moment.
Finally, Drive-By Truckers. These lyrics hit me like a load of bricks every time. It was way to early in the day to be tearing up:
If I make it through this year, I think I'm gonna put this bottle down Maybe as time goes on I'll learn to miss it less than I do now Think I'm gonna tell her that I'm gonna go away for a while Till I can get this demon out
You know the bottle ain't to blame and I ain't trying to It don't make you do a thing it just lets you When I'm six feet underground, I'll need a drink or two And I'll sure miss you
Take me piece by piece till there ain't nothing left worth taking away from me
The highway's humming in my head and it's hard to hear Won't you read my lips if I pull you near enough Could you read my fortune in the bottom of this coffee cup Tell me how to tell when I've had enough
If morning's a bitch with open arms and night's a girl who's gone to far Whiskey is harder to keep than a woman and it's half as sweet but Women without whiskey, Women without whiskey Whiskey is hard to beat Whiskey is hard to beat

Friday, I leave camp at 11:40 to start the Vampire Weekend line. I get there and there's no line yet so I hang out in the Kanye line with these two groups. One group was these 4 kids from North Carolina, and then another group of 2 guys and 2 girls. I sat and chilled with them for a good hr, smoked with them, then noticed a VW line started forming. So i told em like hey I gotta get in line, and the 4 guys said that they would just hold my spot tell after VW, which is flipping AWESOME. Got rail for VW then hopped in line with them. I looked out though and saw my friend Trey at the far end of the line. I asked the guys i was waiting with if it was cool for my friend to join us, they said yeah, I ran grabbed him, we got second row in the middle of the pit, then I got half the pit crowd to sing happy birthday to him (it was his Bday thursday).

+1 on the buzz lightyear - rocket man thing. Decided to walk over and talk to the guy this year maybe Friday or Saturday after at least last two years of seeing buzz at all the shows I was at, since clearly we have the same musical taste. Spoke about tame impala giving buzz a shout out last year and how that was one of my memorable moments of 2013, so on... He was a really cool dude, and we saw buzz for the rest of the weekend, again, at all the shows we loved. If you're on this board, thanks again!! Hope buzz decides to come back to visit next year!
Also, catching the end of Flips and then a surprisingly awesome skrillex superjam was a tasty late night for me.
Chance the Rapper becoming speechless, if only for a moment, about the huge waves of love and support he was getting from us was a pretty special thing.
After Darkside I got back to my campsite close to 5am. At that point I decided not to sleep, but instead put my super comfy chair under the stars and wait and watch the sunrise, alone. It was the most special non-music related moment of my four years.

At Dr. Dog right after "The Truth" when it started raining was very magical.
The Abandoned Hospital Ship being The Flaming Lips opening song made me so happy I made the decision to skip out on most of Jack White. I truly feel sorry for anyone who missed this show.

Jack White into Nick Cave. More than just a "moment" but going from set to set and seeing the amazing performances made me realize once again why I love this festival so much.

The moment Jack White started ball and biscuit my bonnaroo experience was complete after that song it was like my bonnaroo expectations were exceeded and I was able to just enjoy the rest of my first bonnaroo. Before this moment I was caught up in seeing all the shows and stressing about what to see, after that I was able to find a flow.
Being at skrillex's secret set on the kalliope stage early Sunday morning was a result of going with the flow. What a cool experience that was!

Overcoming my exhaustion to be in the pit for Kaskade. I danced my little heart out and when my tent mate wanted to go, I stayed alone. I was getting over a cold, so I went sober the whole day, but I have never felt so naturally buzzed after that. I walked back slowly taking pictures and gopro video of all the craziness going on. Talked to a really nice stranger about the pretty sunrise. It was my moment!
Also, the double rainbow and as above mentioned, buzz lightyear.

Standing inside the tent during the Skrillex super jam when Robbie Krieger and company kicked into Break on Through (To the Other Side). It was so energetic and fun - and so, to me, perfectly Bonnaroo.
kissing the girl i like under the arch after Elton basically secured this Bonnaroo as a top experience in my life ever. God what a fucking weekend!!!!!

Standing in the back of the pit during Elton John and all the sudden a group of like 8 people stand right in front of me and hand me a cold beer. It's Skrillex, Paul Peck, and his entourage. Watched the entire show with Skrillex. Could hardly resist grabbing his ass.
