Standing in the back of the pit during Elton John and all the sudden a group of like 8 people stand right in front of me and hand me a cold beer. It's Skrillex, Paul Peck, and his entourage. Watched the entire show with Skrillex. Could hardly resist grabbing his ass.
I'm surprised Peck didn't put him at the side stage.

When Jack White brought down the energy level way down, started talking about the moon and the chinese lanterns, then talked about how simple moments put to song become poignant and beautiful. He then began playing We are Going to Be Friends, and what I felt was wonderful and indescribable. I was surrounded by beautiful people, in a beautiful place, listening to that song. The feels.
2014 was full of happiness for me. a much needed break from the monotony of real life. leave your phone off for the weekend and don't be afraid to break off from your friends.
ive had the time of my life singalong to close out the bluegrass superjam. kalliope saturday night/sunday am. hardest I've danced at 7am. surviving diarrhea planet rail. getting abducted by a wook goddess.
but nothing hit me harder than the memorial for Whoreshack. rip buddy

The bluegrass superjam close may be my favorite bonnaroo moment period, not just 2014.
There are so many moments from this year. From me saving a crowd surfer from falling to the ground during Grouplove to Elton Johns encore with "Your Song" . Reunited with some old friends and got to know ones better. Meet so,so many new folks who are now friends.
One does stickout. Me and my friend Maci ( flower hat ) went to John Butler Trio. We got a great spot for show. We ended up making a new friend, Ally( purple bandanna) who we hung out with the rest of the night.
The moment was when John sat down a played "Oceans". It was 13 minutes of pure ,beautiful sound that brought the happiest tears to my eyes. A beautiful moment that I shared with both an old friend and a brand new one. I just sat there and thought that these are the moments we go to this festival for.
First bonnaroo and did not disappoint! Got there wed at 3 and camped in pod 1. Thursday me and my 3 friends with whom I camped with met a group of 3 from cinci and ended up seeing almost every show together, feel like life long friends now. The motherfucking double rainbow. The biz markee sing along walking from Kanye just randomly happening. Running into Wayne coyne and telling him how much his music meant to me. NMH set. The Lionel into Jack into Flips will probably the best three shows in a row I'll ever see and if course Elton. Awesome weekend

Being so close to Nick Cave to have his sweat spray all over me when he shook his head. He's my idol I absolutely love him.. shame the bad turnout for his show but... at the same time, it was a fucking awesome crowd. We were few but we had the spirit of many let me tell ya. Met a lot of really cool people waiting for Nick to start.
When you have that Bonnaroo moment ... when those feelings are so strong ... who is there? When you reach for that album, that CD, that cassette, that 8-track ... who do you play?

Seeing my favorite artist (Chance the Rapper) up close. I also met a girl who works at a shoe store near me.
After Cut Copy, Lean on Me comes over the speaker and my group (me, friend Mercedes, group of three neighbors who we befriended, and Zack who we met at Cut Copy) all lock arms and sway while singing the song.
At the end of Elton John, my group joined a large circle of people holding hands and we eventually ran around the circle singing the final song of Bonnaroo.
Getting a massage during Jack White while I stared at trees and the full moon.
Meeting Ashlynn from Macon, GA and wanting to just stare at her because she was so perfect.
Sunday night when my group took the air mattresses out of our tents and had a big slumber party thing. Showed how close we had gotten with our new friends and was the perfect way to end the perfect weekend.
All in all, it was a perfect first Bonnaroo. Our new friends even invited us to stay with them if we ever make it out to Philly, and if not, then Bonnaroo 2015 for sure.
So many moments this year! Really great Roo for me and my friends. I was walking alone after Die Antwoord and I walked past a group having a blast. They stopped me and asked me to take their picture, and of course I said sure. Being a little drunk I didn't even think twice about snapping a couple good shots. As they were thanking me one of we all realized that I had taken them with my own camera. We all had a good laugh as we walked off in our seperate directions. If you know anyone in this pic I would love to for them to reconnect with it.

Only friends/family of Elton were allowed side stage, I tried really hard to get up there. You had to have special Elton John stickers. Even AC/Superfly people weren't able to use it, they were all in the soundboard pit.

-The "soooftlyyy, slowlyy" sung before the entire Farm before the chorus of "Tiny Dancer" -Jack White jumping into "Icky Thump" after the three minute opening jam -Damon Albarn's choral "Heavy Seas of Love" and "Mr. Tembo." Entire set was amazing. -Lionel's "Hello"
Being ALMOST on the fence for Dallas Green. There was just one tiny little girl in front of me and it was so incredible. His voice was so perfect, oh man. I died.
I received a birthday package on Friday at the Bonnaroo Post Office. super exciting We camped with a group of great people we met here on inforoo - the experience changed our lives. Sam Smith sang with/to me on my birthday as I managed to get to the front row and get amazing video. I got to tell a safety guy at Which stage that he's 'the biggest fucking douchebag' for killing toys (and spirit) at Flaming Lips. He got yelled at I think I was surrounded by a mysterious dude quartet whom made my night in the wee hours of Sunday morning with a group dance - just like something you would watch in a musical. Shit was cray! And I loved it! <3 Such a great and magical Bonnaroo.
-Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds: This was my second time to get to see them and like the first time they were amazing.
-Mastodon: My first time to see them and they were as good as Nick Cave. The performance was amazing and they really seemed to love playing at the farm. L was really surprised with how much they talked with the audience.
-Neutral Milk Hotel: Hearing The King of Carrot Flowers Pt 2 & 3 live will always be a special moment for me.
-Bluegrass Super Jam: Them playing I've Had the Time of my Life was the perfect way to end it.
-The Chinese lanterns.: Seeing these helped to make the weekend more special.
During the moment of silence for Whoreshack somebody was driving by on a cart and honked what sounded like a clown horn, that gave me goosebumps. I never thought I would've felt so sad and then so happy so quickly. That moment was pretty cool.
The Lionel Richie, We Are The World singalong got me a bit emotional. His entire set was special but that ending was unforgettable.
I also really enjoyed what Jack White had to say, really cool guy. Before Roo I heard a lot of people comparing him to Kanye but I didn't get that vibe at all. I got humble and down to Earth from his speeches.
The Flips, Do You Realize was great. It gave me flashbacks of their set in Mexico which I got to experience up front with Whoreshack, LLL, and my wife. Great memory.
And of course the moment when you're done building your camp, you can finally relax, and then it hits you... you're back at this wonderful magical place that's only available once a year for a very short time. You realize how lucky you are to even know about Bonnaroo let alone experience it once again. It's a great feeling but it's bittersweet because you know how fast it will go by and soon enough you'll be back to work. You'll be wanting to share your experiences with everybody or anybody who will listen, but you know they just don't get it.
Thanks for the great memories once again Bonnaroo, see ya next year!

-I walked up to James Blake launching into a cover of Joni Mitchell ' s "A Case of You" and a silence washed over the crowd. It was as if you could feel the beauty of the moment.
-Craig Robinson going an hour+ over his scheduled time in the comedy tent and jamming out to everything from Prince to Nirvana. Craig came down into the audience and danced, took selfies with audience members, and just had a blast. He epitomized Bonnaroo. He even showed up side stage for Elton and was making the pit call and answer his name. What a guy!
- The Flaming Lips closing their set prior to encore with A Spoonful Weighs A Ton, and flashing the word LOVE on a seemingly endless loop into the night sky. Shortly thereafter, they reemerged for a gorgeous Do you realize into what felt like an improvement on Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds(yes, I've heard this cover before, but you can't even describe it live). I wasn't even going to see the Lips this time...but at Bonnaroo sometimes the old musical compass inside us just guides us to the magic.
Sooo many, but I'll never forget looking next to me and my buddy head banging at Meshugga only to realize Tosin from Animals as Leaders was right next to us banging in exact time with us...got to sweaty man hug a hero of mine, snap a quick pic, and watch the rest of Meshugga with him....such an awesome and talented dude
I mentioned it in the Cloud Nothings thread, but a guy had a "I Know That Feel" sign based off of the meme. It was brought up during a song of theirs which the lyrics said "I'm not telling you all I'm going through, I FEEL FINE." The set was already intense enough since it was a massive mosh-pit and I was on the rail getting crushed but still having a good time. But the pocket of us around where the sign was just went even more nuts when the sign was out during that song and it was just an absolute perfect moment, my favorite of the festival.
Another would be during Dr. Dog's "The Truth", where the lyrics in the bridge are "Let the raaaiiiin faaaallll." Shortly thereafter, it started to rain lightly for just the following song. It was a beautiful song and a beautiful moment.
The "Fuck Yeah Roo" balloon at The Flaming Lips, just after a beautiful opener of The Abandoned Hospital Ship.
And, of course, that Buzz Lightyear balloon flying to the stars during Elton John's "Rocket Man."
This! In the pit for Cloud Nothings for im not a part of me. Dancing "here and nowhere else" with all my new friends "you're a part of me". It was pretty magical. Best moment of the weekend.

I don't listen to a lot of FLips and have never went to any of there sets, but while watching Mystikal shake his ass I saw the lights and walked up as what you wrote above started. My wife and I both walked back to camp talking about how weird it was that we felt pulled to that show, and thank god we did. Breathtaking.
Chromeo's set had me on such a high. I right up front just dancing away with everyone. It was pure bliss. It's funny, sometimes it's an emotional moment for me and other times it's just about putting all of my energy out there with a giant smile on my face. I was cheesing so hard during their set, I don't think I felt THAT happy any other time in the weekend.
It was my first Bonnaroo, but I heard so much about how fun the superjams are, so I made sure to check out skrillex's since I like him as a solo artist, and I figured he'd do EDM stuff the whole time, and that'd be a fun late night for me. When they played Africa by Toto I lost it. It's one of my favorite songs ever because it reminds me of my dad, and I actually liked that it wasn't just an EDM superjam. I truly felt like that's where I started to understand why Bonnaroo is as special as everyone says, and why I want to come back every year I can.
Either that this being my 3rd year I finally got into the pit for the first time; it was at the Which stage and I never could get close in past years, it was Skrillex. The line got crazy right before they started letting people in, so many people flanked in from the side and everybody was pushing to get in. Oh and my left ear is still ringing from how loud it was.
And then there's the Skrillex Superjam got as close as I ever been in a tent before pretty much front center where the wires run to the back and its cover so you get 2 inches to stand on. They were about to start "Lets Dance" with Warpaint and I threw my hands up in the air and got the singers attention, she smiled and made solid eye contact with me throughout the song. I never had so much fun during that set and really just tops it off.
