FlyLO 2012 changed my music listening life! That Friday night starting with Radiohead is easily the most awesome night I've ever experienced at Bonnaroo or the rest of my life for that matter, and the credit squarely goes to Flying Lotus! Until I saw FlyLo I had largely dismissed electronic music, but after that set? HOLY SHIT & and no light show to speak of?!?! Pure concentrated awesome! Please PLEASE let this happen!

Someone should mention that, even more so than most artist's albums, FlyLo's are meant to be digested in their entirety at once. Not skipping songs you don't like, but actually meant to be listened to as an album.
Cosmogramma is, as of now, easily his best work-facts only- but usually not his most accessible. A masterpiece, whose name originates from mishearing a line from a poem recited by his aunt-Alice Coltrane, jazz great- as a Cosmic Drama, and the amount of layers in every song reflects how accurate that title is; a soundtrack to a Cosmic Drama, forces on the scale that we as human beings are incapable of understanding. You know, third eye shit and whatnot.
Until The Quiet Comes generally is the most accessible. Designed by him as a "Children's album", as what he described as an explanation that even as we grow up, and even as adults, we continue to just discover how little we know.
Los Angeles gets no where near enough credit, and while it is the least comprehensive of his full-lengths, still stands as a great collection of songs, and shows the progress he's made with his incredible work ethic, as he has always seeked to make the type, and quality, of music he does now.

But really. It's all wonderful.
L.A. and Shhh! When I stumbled up to the very tail end of Black Star's set in 12 there was a seamless hand-off from their DJ to FlyLo, the music never stopped FlyLo just mixed into what he was doing, Black Star's sign went down & FlyLo's came up and it was ON! After that things get hazy but I know early on in his set he played $tunt$ from the Shhh! ep. and it broke my brain. I decided to stay right there and dance! When he started Camel from L.A. that was the tipping point, too much bliss! Changed my life I tell's ya!
I'm torn because I feel like a Flying Lotus Superjam would be incredible, but at the same time I would really want to hear him play his own songs.
Let's double book him like Skrillex!
I would totally get behind this! To quote Sideshow Bob from the book of Simpsons, season 8, Episode 16
Feb 23, 1997 at 8:00pm'ish Sideshow Bob said: "For you see, I have been on Mars for the last decade, in a cave, with my eyes shut and my fingers in my ears.
Is FlyLo a big enough draw these days that that could be a realistic expectation from ACE?

I don't think so. Skrillex is damn near a household name, though I don't know anyone who knows who FlyLo is and isn't a music junkie. But then again, fests cater to music junkies. I think FlyLo could be involved in a SJ and still get his own set, but I'm not sure that he'd curate it the way Skrillex did. Though FlyLo could probably get Kendrick and Preservation Hall and Father John Misty on stage at the same time, so I'd be happy if that happened.
Edit: I no longer agree with this. I think he could do both.

If he comes back next year, I want him to play more originals. His set in 2012 pandered to the party atmosphere. I want to get lost in his original content, not hear remixes of popular songs.
I saw him open for Atoms For Peace back in 2010 at Roseland Ballroom. That set served as my introduction to his music. Think the only remix he did was Idioteque.
a flylo superjam would be magical. i brought a bunch of my friends who had no exposure to him to his 2012 set and they were all blown away. trying to catch him next week in nyc.

I was thinking this yesterday. a FlyLo/herbie hancock/Thundercat core would be pretty great.

The FlyLo show in Orlando was pretty fantastic. I had some mush in my body so I was just melting the entire time. He played a bunch of new stuff(of course). Played 4 Captain Murphy tracks and came out from behind the screen to rap on all of them except Dead Mans Tetris. Still had the Layer 3 setup which I was hoping for since I haven't seen it for my own eyes yet. Played for an hour and 15 minutes.
Thundercat opened and played DMT Song and Descent Into Madness with his band and that was fantastic.

That's really all I have to say about that.
Fuck yes! I was hoping for the layer3 as well since I hadn't experienced it yet either.
