I stayed back for this show and watched the solos on the new screens. Worked very well in this case. Not as well for tears for fears, where the sounds wasn't very good outside the tent
Any chance this is why he laughed at 2 points during the show while he was singing? I really need to know what that was about
I would think he was just seeing ridiculous people in the crowd and laughing. By the time he started laughing I was already up against the rail via the magic of the mosh pit. I forgot how pits just throw you around the venue and all the sudden you could end up way closer than you were.

What I did for Tears For Fears was stand on the rail right off to the side of the screen. So I wasn't blocking the people sitting down, but I could still lean on the rail. Sound was really great from that spot. As a side note the crowd for Tears For Fears was enormous.
Sat off to the side to conserve energy so that I could go nonstop during the last three songs. I got punched in the face, kicked in the head, and (most surprisingly) water boarded by a guy in a zebra onesie.... God, Slayer was fucking awesome!

Before the show where I was standing with custeph and I think JHOinTN's boyfriend some of Slayer's crew came and asked somebody to move, or to take something down that was obstructing a particular view because they were taping the show. That may have actually been the umbrellas that Stephanie was holding. Is that right? But anyway, that's going to be great if we can see that show again.

SLAYER guitarist Kerry King spoke to Artisan News about the band's appearance at the 2015 Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival, which was held on June 11-14 in Manchester, Tennessee, 60 miles south of Nashville. He said (see video below): "I thought it was gonna be a bunch of… a bunch of… not that I have anything against hippies, but I thought it was gonna be a bunch of hippies watching SLAYER in horror. [Laughs] And, dude, that place was electric when we played. We played… I don't know what stage it was, but it was like a giant shed kind of thing. It was going off."
According to Kerry, there were definitely some people at Bonnaroo who weren't familiar with SLAYER, but "I think those people were too far back. Because there was a bunch of SLAYER fans there, which I didn't expect, because it's such a diverse festival. But, man, it was awesome."
King also revealed that Bonnaroo wasn't the only festival where SLAYER was received better than originally expected.
"The other one that really surprised me was Carolina Rebellion," he said. "That one… Dude, we were the next to last band on the last day. And I expected just tired, drunk people. And they were vicious. It was amazing. I was just blown away. There was just a sea of people coming over. And I totally didn't see that one coming."

that's great, thanks for sharing! sounds cheesy but for guys who have been playing as long as Slayer have, it was nice to be part of a crowd that provided them something unexpected and awesome.
