Edit - if it's local besides Khris Royal, it could be Royal Teeth. Thinking it's probably not King James and The Special Men or Joe Krown Trio since this is Buku. I can't think of anything else it could be local.

I didnt get VIP this year. if I have the money, I might upgrade, but I just bought tickets to five shows and am still need to buy tickets to three more.

Yeah. It's piling up on me too. I've got Gravity A/Sonic Bloom, Lotus, Buku, 2 jazzfest days, STS9, Hangout, Waka and Voodoo paid. I have Earphunk/Zoogma, Ministry, Slipknot/Hatebreed, Papadosio and a bonnaroo VIP left to go. So much for tax returns... Plus there will be more jazzfest after dark. I hate being broke, but a live music habit costs money.

I just bought helmet, lost bayou ramblers with Gordon gano (from violent femmes), talib Kweli, Benjamin booker today and already have sylvan esso, Buku, voodoo and bonnaroo. Plus, I still need to buy swans, diarrhea planet, Jazz Fest and peelander-z tickets.
I'm not sure if we're doing ministry, I think I'd rather see Primus and the chocolate factory. Plus, I usually got to ACL too. I gotta find a job that pays me for my music addiction.
So the BUKU final lineup was supposed to drop January 20th, but has now been pushed back. Hence the recent buklues. I'm not sure what the new drop date is.
I'm not sure if it's official or announced, but one of my kids texted me that Hermitude will be opening for STS9 at the Saturday Afterparty. I don't know much about them except they are pretty far up Waka's linup list. Not sure if this is speculation, but I figured I'd share in case it is legit or if that matters to anyone.
So I hit up my girl, who is on the street team, to find out more info about them retracting the announcement date. She showed me the email, and it is pretty lame (its dated 1/19). It pretty much says that if you (the street teams) posted that the lineup was to be released on the 20th, just take it down and don't make a corrective statement. If anyone hits you up directly, just to let them know additional acts will be announced soon and to keep their eyes on the Buku Facebook page. Thanks for all the support and get ready for some exciting announcements regarding Buku in the near future. That is almost word for word from the email.

No. What do we have so far, Rocky, Ghostface Killah, Boosie,G-Easy, Run the Jewels, Bobby Shmurda (who I read had a couple charges dropped which gives him a slim chance of maybe getting out), Young Lean and Big Freedia? I mean Rocky is pretty big now but nowhere near a Nas level. Maybe they still have a power rap name to drop. Don't forget that both Nas and Public Enemy were 2nd announcements. So keep your fingers crossed if you want rap. I'm down for more rap, but I really want more bands. And not necessarily pop bands like Empire of the Sun or Passion Pit.

I'm looking for another rap and more indie rock being dropped. I'm really upset that DCFC doesn't have Nola dates. I think they are far too chillin for buku, but maybe first weekend of jazz fest or voodoo fest would be nice.

Well find him and beat some info out of his ass. we are past the addl lineup dates from the last 2 years. In fact schedule was out 2nd week of February last year, so we have to be close. Hopefully the final lineup gets out there mid week.

Yes it sucks. This same thing happened with voodoo year before last. Lineup was supposed to drop on June 26, something happened and they pushed it back. Buku lineup was supposed to drop on January 20 something happened and now we don't even gave a new date.
Running efficient festivals in New Orleans must be tough.
We were trying to figure out today who it could be. It's not gonna be M&M, LL, Run or Dre, so back to the note someone posts that it's an act bigger than Nas, if legit, it would have to be Snoop, right?
Girl specifically asked about hip-hop and indie rock, but got no mention of it. Plus side, we will get the whole shebang tomorrow. The girl that she inquired about the lineup to, only knew particle information. No names, just genre.
