I thought that I discovered Langhorne being on the lineup on their backend/uploads section but figured it was from a previous year. I wish I posted here when I did haha
It's in alphabetical order so harder to identify when something new is uploaded. The lineup images for this and last year have the filename "lineup-sprite-BANDNAME" but since they are using the same font on the images as last year it's harder to identify new ones. I definitely saw that Langhorne image up yesterday but assumed it was from a previous year.

Now that you made me look, all the bands that have already been announced for 2015 are labeled with Initals ONLY under the Sprite headings. Nothing new yet... but, shhhh! Keep it a surprise!
I think Newport found out about that link. It doesn't work anymore lol :/ damn!
haha probably. We were probably ratted out. Oh well. I wasn't checking it daily or anything. It was just something I realized when looking at the band images.
HEY NEWPORT! If you're reading this thread, do you want to float a comp ticket my way? I mean, you seem to like to book all of the bands that I post about in this thread. I think that would make us even. Thanks in advance!
Also, I just noticed that Ivan & Alyosha have a new album coming out (or at least a new single on Spotify). I think this makes them very likely for Newport. Kind of surprised that they have yet to play; although I think they pumped the breaks right around the time they were starting to follow in The Head and the Heart's upwards trajectory.

Bad news. Tonight I was talking to Jimmy Sutton, JD McPherson's bass player, and it looks like they won't be returning to NFF this year. If you get a chance to see them on this tour though, definitely go! It was an incredible show!

My new hope is Gaby Moreno. She's been opening for Punch Brothers and brought Oscar Isaac (form Inside Llewyn Davis) out during her set in NY. She's Guatemalan and does a number of songs in Spanish which would seem to fit into Newport's efforts to incorporate music from other cultures.
