And yeah this announcement is fantastic. It's also making me wonder if Sunday necessarily has to be a classic act. It definitely still could be, but I think we could start imagining other possibilities.

Wow, super jealous of anyone who is going. I got to see Roger Waters do the wall last time he toured and it's my number one favorite show I've ever seen! Have fun!

Yeah they are only saying that because they are at the top of the lineups. Spin also reported incorrect information a few months back and Jay Sweet called them out on it and they corrected it.

If you mean the part about First Aid Kit, I'm guessing they don't realize there are still a number of acts still to be announced for Sunday. Including the headliner.

I wouldn't be surprised if they surprise us with Bob Dylan for Saturday's headliner

So, I have to be completely honest and say that I've never really listened to Pink Floyd or Roger Waters. BUT, I am still really excited about this announcement because I love being at special/unique shows. There is something about the energy and appreciation from the crowd, as well as just knowing that I'm surrounded by so many people who are in a moment of sheer bliss. It gives me chills just thinking about it. So yeah, I'm really looking forward to it! Also, if anyone has any particular videos of his I should check out, share away (I already looked up some Pink Floyd on YouTube). Thanks!
This is their best announcement for years in my opinion.
agree completely. completely energized me to start the "looking forward to Newport" mentality. I rambled something earlier in the thread about "don't worry about the headliners it's about the little guys". I've abandoned that mentality.
My only concern, and it's minor, is that Roger Waters can't sing anymore.
